__________

Chitoge watched as Yuki ran ahead of her. She knew that he was goading her into racing him.

She was slightly amused as she ran ahead of him. The thought of losing didn't even cross her mind as she quickly caught up with him.

Yuki noticed her speeding up and quickly picked up the pace. He didn't want to lose to her, even though he knew that it was inevitable.

Chitoge did the same as the gap between them kept closing.

The other students watched on as this happened. They didn't understand why these two were speeding ahead of the class when it was only a warm-up jog.

"Why are those sprinting like that?"

"I don't know, it seems they're having a race."

"Say, don't you think Takahashi-kun and Kirisaki-san seem quite close"

The students began gossiping about the Yuki and Chitoge as they slowly jogged. It didn't take much for them to come to their own conclusions.

It didn't take long for Chitoge to eventually overtake Yuki. She had the same smile as he did earlier.

"Slowpoke." She said as she passed him.

Yuki felt slight irritation as he struggled to keep up, only for him to lose in the end.

Yuki took deep breaths as he collapsed to the floor. Although he had lost the little race, he didn't think it would take long for him to catch up to her.

Still, he had to admit that this girl was abnormally fast. Almost inhumanely.

"Takahashi-kun! I didn't think you could run that fast! Were you holding back on me?" Kuroma asked as he approached Yuki.

"Well, we haven't done much running lately. Plus I've been exercising." Yuki created an excuse to mask his abilities.

"I think your father will be pleased when he finds out." Kuroma said as he laughed.

Yuki ignored this and focused on recovering. Fortunately, his vitality had improved, so it wouldn't take as long as it used to.

"You're faster than I thought Kirisaki-san." Yuki said as he turned his attention to Chitoge.

Chitoge seemed a little proud of this fact, "Of course, my family focuses on training our physical abilities. I'd be embarrassing my family if I didn't have at least this much ability."

Yuki looked at her in confusion. Although he knew she belonged to a mafia family, he hadn't heard about her requiring any training. He didn't think much of it as he finally stood up.

It didn't take long for the rest of the class to finish the lap. many of them were tired as they lay on the floor, gasping for breath.

"Alright guys, I'll let you rest for 10 minutes before we start doing push-ups." Kuroma said.

Many students groaned in protest, but they didn't do anything more.

"Yuki, I didn't think you could run that fast." Shu said as he scanned Yuki.

"Same here, I never thought you had it in you." Raku chimed in.

It made sense that they had these thoughts. While the previous Yuki wasn't the worst, he wasn't the best either, averaging around the middle of the group.

"Well, I've been exercising recently so this much isn't bad." Yuki responded, completely forgetting about collapsing on the floor.

"Alright guys, down into a push-up position."

"Urgh."

....

The students groaned as the lesson went on. They were shocked and awed by Chitoge's physical capabilities throughout the lesson, but even more so by Yuki's.

For someone who was once the definition of average, the feats he demonstrated were anything but average. The only person he was second to was Chitoge, which irked him a bit.

The lesson ended with the students laying on the floor. Except for Chitoge of course.

The students walked off to their changing rooms after a while. Yuki sat down in exhaustion. Unlike the others who completed the bare minimum required of them, he was competing with Chitoge.

"Water?" Raku asked as he handed Yuki his water bottle.

"Thanks." Yuki said as he took a giant gulp.

"No worries." Raku responded as he took back the bottle, "Still, it was surprising to see your performance today."

Yuki just laughed it off. He had already excused himself enough times today.

He changed clothes shortly, with half the changing room looking at him. It took all of Yuki's effort to act normally, even though he clearly changed in record time.

Yuki rushed off to the next class.

'How could I forget about the tattoo?' Yuki thought as he continued walking.

As Yuki was lost in thought, he didn't notice that he was about to collide with another person in the same state of mind.

"Ouch!"

(A\N: Any character you want this to be? I'm hoping for a male MC.)
