Chapter 103: Eagle Mercenaries
"Junior brother Kang!"
Shen Yue rushed back and held Kang Xuan, who was panting as he knelt on a single knee with the support of his sword.
His left shoulder and his right thigh were oozing with blood. He wasn't as fast as Shen Yue, and as such, when he tried to dodge the bullets, one of them lodged in his shoulder.
Seeing three more bullets coming his way, he jumped up to dodge them, but one of them again lodged in his thigh.
Following that, three more bullets were coming to his head. As soon as he saw them, he realized he wouldn't be able to avoid them, and the bullet in his head would be lethal even to cultivators.
Unless they are in the foundation establishment realm or above with decent health stats, that makes their life force almost impossible to kill by normal humans with normal weapons.
He couldn't help but activate his divine strengthening technique, which immediately doubled his speed to 120 meters per second while increasing his strength to 1.6 tonnes.
He slashed through the bullets and into the enemy, instantly severing the gun and the enemy itself.
Even then, his force made the weapon lodged firmly on the floor, destroying the tiles. His weapon is also kind of chipped away in many places and won't be of any use in the future.
"I'm alright, senior sister. Let's finish this as soon as possible, or else once my divine stage mode goes off, I won't be able to hold on or be of much help."
Kang Xuan said that even though he is feeling a burning pain in his shoulder and leg. This is the first time in his life that he has felt such physical pain.
"It's alright, junior, brother! You just stay here. I will quickly finish those on the fourth floor and come back."
Shen Yue suggested it, as she is kind of frightened by the fact that Kang Xuan actually got hit by bullets. She just wanted to go back to their sect as soon as possible and let the sect master treat him, or at least she wanted to take him to the hospital first.
"No! Don't waste any more time, senior sister. The bullets aren't fatal, and we also don't know what is waiting for us on the fourth floor. Let's go quickly."
Kang Xuan firmly shook his head and stood up while talking before flashing to the last floor with his teeth gritted.
Shen Yue also didn't want to dilly-dally with that anymore. She first decided to finish the mission, and then hurriedly took him to the hospital and joined him.
The moment they reached the fourth floor, they were stumped by the scene in front of them. There weren't many people there. Only three people were firmly holding their weapons over the heads of three captives.
The most important thing is that this room is dimly lit with a lot of candlelight.
While two more captives lie on the side, apparently dead. Shen Yue burned with fire as she saw the two bodies without 'life' in them.

"Close to 30 seconds at best, senior sister." Knag Xuan spoke up, gritting his teeth in pain.
Those three villains and the three captives looked at Shen Yue and Kang Xuan with weapons, a bit bewildered and desperate.
The ones who are perplexed are, of course, the bad guys, who mistook the raiders for a special force from the Chinese military or police force.
That is also the reason they thought it was better to hold the hostages and then demand the government let them go.
The one with the glasses is probably their leader, or at least a vice leader. In comparison to the glasses guy, the other two are quite bulky.

"How many of you have come? Have you also killed everyone on 'our' team downstairs?"
The glasses guy nodded to them and asked Shen Yue and Kang Xuan probing questions, pressing the word 'Our' a bit. He was curious if there were more of them or if it was just the two of them.
If it's only two of them, then they don't have to worry too much and just need to kill everyone here, including the two with the cold weapons, before escaping from here.
But if there are more of them or a lot of them completely surrounding the building, that will be a dangerous thing for them, without the hostages in their hands to give them a chance to safely escape from this damned country.
The glasses guy's name is David, and he is one of the vice leaders of this team, and he is the one that plans everything for this group.
While the big guy on the left is Mark, and he is also a vice leader, he is more into brawls than brains. The one in the center with a short but bulky stature is the leader of their team, Ronald Henry.
Even though he is neither a very tactical person nor a brawl type of them. He is from the main lineage of their eagle mercenaries and is very good at commanding the people that are assigned to him.
The ten of them that came here today is just one of the many units of the Eagle mercenaries.
David has planned everything in a very detailed manner. He even prepared custom-made masks for every one of them to infiltrate this building without creating anyone's doubts.
But he didn't know where his plan went wrong, and he also doesn't get why these two people are using cold weapons. But he saw Kang Xuan being wounded and started calculating with just Shen Yue as the enemy.

One of the young-looking girls shouted as he suddenly made her move, as though she had gone a bit crazy.
David's eyes went wide as he didn't know why this woman was going crazy all of a sudden. He can't shoot her or else the number of captives they have will reduce, which will also reduce their survival chance.
The only young man and the other young woman in the room expressed sadness and trepidation at the same time as they looked at that girl going crazy all of a sudden. The young man's eyes filled with tears, while the other young woman also sobbed.
David firmly gripped the woman's neck with his left hand while holding the gun at her temple.

Mark and Henry were petrified by such an abnormal speed as they turned their heads toward the people who were already in front of them.
Even the young man and woman stopped crying as they saw the people who had come to help them vanish from their positions and appear in front of them.
They believed that the government had finally recognized the situation and dispatched police to rescue them. But they never know that police use swords and daggers as their weapons.
None of the people in the room processed what happened. But Henry's and Mark's minds flashed with the thought that they are finished, and they also understood that no more enemies are coming for them, as these two are abnormal enough to wipe them off.
The next thought in their minds is to kill the hostages, at least those in front of them. But just as the thoughts flashed through their minds, their foreheads got pierced by something sharp, immediately making them lose their grip on the guns.
Shen Yue quickly released her grip on her dagger and turned toward David, wanting to rush toward him in the hopes of saving the final girl too.
But the moment she took her step with her second dagger firmly gripping her hand, her heart turned sour and her eyes filled with tears.
