Chapter 43: Pretty Name for a Meal

Sienna watched Davi and Lemiel leave the castle from the window. They were going to the town to shop for things for Davi. The young vampire had discreetly asked for her permission before agreeing with his father.

Although Sienna felt uneasy about letting her son go with Lemiel without her, she had discussed the matter with Lemiel, and agreed to it. She couldn't take back her word, could she? Besides, Davi deserved a chance to bond with his father.

While Davi was away and she didn't have to follow him around as the young master's maid, she went looking for the butler to ask him if he could assign work for her. But she couldn't find Clark.

As Sienna passed by the main hall, three maids who were cleaning vases exchanged meaningful glances. One of them called her attention.

"Might you be in need of help?" Sienna asked, but the sight of the big vases worried her.
