Chapter 97: Rather Stay Here with You

The sounds of a festive night echoed from the main plaza, and the supposed sleeping city was still loud as the celebrations continued. From one of the terraces of the castle, Selvig could see the lights from the bonfire and street lamps lighting up the dim city. His eyes blinked at the sights and the distant cheers while drinking his glass of wine all alone on the terrace.

"Oh, you learned fast, not to sit on the railing. That's good."

Selvig turned behind him and found the peculiar maid almost sauntering towards him. His eyes then turned away, followed by his body. "This place is quite at a height that would indeed kill me. Do you need something of me, Jillian?" He was about to speak again, but a whole bottle was placed in front of him.

The maid chuckled as she leaned her back against the railing and drank from her own bottle. "I just passed by the banquet. I didn't see you so I figured you might at quite a perilous place again."

"And the bottle?"
