Chapter 1: My Stupid Experiences at Magic High School - 001
Today is my first day at Magic Highschool, the most prestigious magic school in the country. When I was younger, I dreamt of becoming a powerful mage like my uncle. It was always so fascinating to me, how he could clear out thousands of monsters that terrorized our homes in one day. As expected of the commander of the King's Private Guard. I was born with very little magic, so I was seen as a problem child by the other nobles. This is expected when you have almost as little magic as commoners.
I never got along with most of the other noble kids, so I was alone most of the time. I was failing the easiest subjects at school, and my parents were starting to lose hope. They tried so many things to boost my MP, or Magic Points, which are points that determine how potent your magic is. The average MP for nobility is 5000, and 420 for commoners. I'm stuck at 690 points, so I would always get destroyed in practical tests. I only managed to pass because my uncle paid bribes to teachers to raise my grades. This is also how I got accepted into Magic Highschool.
I left home early and headed to my childhood friend, Emy's, house. Emy is the only person to accept me for who I am, and not based on how strong my magic is. She has also enrolled in Magic Highschool, which was no surprise when Emy's MP was an amazing 7969, the highest MP ever achieved by someone under the age of 18. She is the perfect child, always respectful, always is at the top of her class and is incredibly beautiful. I'll admit I am kind of jealous, but Emy has always been nothing but nice to me, so I'm appreciative of her.
I turned at the corner, and there she was waiting for me outside. As soon as she sees me, she runs up and hugs me tightly. "Good morning, Gale!", she says.
"Good morning.", I reply.
We start walking to school. I'm starting to get nervous now, and apparently so is Emy, because she's hugging my arm tightly. Am I ready for what's to come?
