Chapter 1: The Trials-1- My love for novels.

My name is Vexius Wrath. I am a 5ft 11 teenager who, even if I over evaluate, am a Borderline average looker in terms of appearance. I do not consider myself a genius, even if I excel ahead of others in every subject in school as I know there is someone better than me somewhere in the world, which truly just motivates me more, think about it you will never be truly bored if there is someone better than you. Of course, there are moments when you feel as if your hard work isn't working or that how is it even possible to retain the knowledge you are learning, what is the point if you are just going to forget it later. Well, let me tell about the current theory on forms of intelligence, there are two. Fluid and Crystalized (credit to Raymond Cattell and John L. Horn thank you for this theory that I quite enjoy), Fluid intelligence refers to the intelligence that you are born with and this varies from person to person and those who are privileged with a high amount of this form of intelligence are know as 'prodigies' ,however, this type of intelligence starts to decrease and ceases to exist around the age of 21 (varies from person to person) and they cease to be this so-called prodigy. My personal favourite, Crystalized intelligence, is the form of intelligence that is built upon experience and those with a better fluid intelligence may build upon this crystalized intelligence faster but if they don't they will only remain a temporary prodigy and one with low fluid intelligence may increases in crystalized slower but they will still increase and the harder they work the larger it will become, surpassing even 'prodigies'. So in short Hard work can pay off. Anyway, as I am a teenager, I am prone to acne. Although it is not severe, I do myself get spots. The most annoying and visible one being the one placed slightly to the right of the centre of my nose which really aggravates my OCD (I am not actually clinically diagnosed by the way). What I can be proud of though regarding my physical aspects, is my strength. I also consider myself to be able to hold my own in a fight as I have been trained by my Grandfather, although he was a great man in my eyes, he is no supreme being, so do not expect there to be a plot twist and I am some actual 'supreme being'. Finally, My last distinctive trait is my love for novels. I truly did not consider myself one to like novels and disdained them, once I tried them I for some odd reason became hooked into this new world. Although, as the cliché saying goes, every rose has thorns. Novels in which you are made a villain who slaughtered countless men, but saves the first woman you see because you think you can relate to her? No, you are just filled with unbridled lust, not comradeship. So why bring up the topic of novels? Well, it just so happens I have a truck coming directly at me. Of course, the driver can see me and its not like I am crossing the road without checking both sides, hell I am not even on the damn road yet. So why do I have a large 'truck-kun' coming at me at what seems to be a few hundred miles per hour? Well, it seems to have been thrown at me by that.. thing. I would dodge but its a narrow street big enough to fit a truck that is flying horizontally at me. Guess the truck was annoyed it actually missed the first three times (because, you know, I actually look both ways before crossing the road. What? I love novels but I'm not idiotic enough to die to test out if I actually go to another world) My eyes lock on with the bus drivers. He is visibly shocked and afraid. "What? You think I do this on the daily, you're actually getting to fly for a bit" I said clearly, feeling the need to clear up any misunderstandings because you know I would rather be in the plane than be hit by one, the chances to survive are higher. Surprised I had this long to monologue actually, guess your world does slow down when you're about to die. Here it comes. Darkness.
