Chapter 71: Public Display of Affection (PDA)
Trey who's standing behind and watching his cousin conquers her angelic driver is sulking inside.
He really do like her but he knows his cousin is now truly in loved with her without him realizing it. He will give way this time because he knows Azalea is the perfect woman for his sad and lonely cousin.
Trey remembered when they were young. They are not really closed back then because Jack is always aloof to everyone. He don't speak much and no one dared to talk to him. They were afraid to even looked at his phoenix eyes because they can see it was full of hatred. He was already a scary child back then.
Trey knows he was an only child and his parents are always busy. They always left him alone in their huge mansion. Though Trey was afraid of him too he still tried to be friend him. Jack always called him a cry baby but he never left him when he was sad and alone. Jack always stay by his side even if he whines. He became his older brother in an instant.
When their grandfather started to favored Jack, their older cousins became jealous and they started to bullied him. They tried to hurt him but he always fought back and that makes their anger towards him increased.
Their grandfather seems to noticed the commotion between the cousins so he decided to take them one by one to the underground. But after been taken there no one wants to go back again except Jack. He even asked their grandfather not to take Trey down there he don't want him to see the horror he have witnessed in there.
"Hey Boss, it's almost lunch". Cori breaks the sweet silence between the two love birds and also Trey's deep daze.
Azalea snaps back to reality and felt much more embarrassed. She just realized that they are inside her shop and all of her employees are watching them. She knows after this they will tease her to death. Because right now she can see the teasing look in their eyes and those annoying grin on their faces.
She feels like digging a hole right now and hide in there.
Jack was so amused at her he made a short laugh but loud enough for others to hear.
Because of this, Trey gave out a real and warm smile that's true to his heart. This is the rarest time he heard his cousin laugh wholeheartedly and he was very thankful to her angelic driver.
"I'll cook, let's go". Azalea exclaimed.
She grabs Jack's hand then suddenly let go. Realizing how dirty her hands are.
Jack was a bit sad when his wife suddenly let go of his hand but he understands why. She was looking at her dirty hands and then looked at the hand she held on earlier it's already had a grease on it.
He lifted his hands to see the grease that was transferred to him then he smiled. He grabs his wife's hands this time.
"Let's clean you up". He said to her while holding Azalea's hands gently.
Then she giggles.
"Pfffftttt". Cori is trying to suppress his bursting laughter. He had no idea his Boss is like this. She looks like a teenage high schooler when she's in love. She looks super cute in his eyes.
Corbin rolled his eyes.' They don't seem to noticed a lot of people are sorrounding them. They just keep showing their infatuation to each other'. He can't stand the sweetness of the two pair. Their *PDA is killing him.
Azalea decided to take them to her apartment. She lead the three of them in the elevator. She just looked at Cori and he just nod his head. He already knows what it means.
The fifth floor. Azalea's so called penthouse.
The whole floor is converted to an apartment. There were two doors that looks like a room. An open dining table near the kitchen and a large living room.
"Feel at home. I'll wash and change first. Jack, you can use the sink to wash your hands". She smiled and left.
Jack watched her entered a room. His imagination run wild again and think that one day he'll going to spend a night there too, with her.
After washing his hands he scanned the whole area and look at every detail of her apartment. The place is spacious and no much walls or dividers. The whole place can actually be seen whole in one corner. Except for the rooms. None extravagant but clean. The color is too simple and the walls are designed like a raw bricks.
There were oil paintings on the wall. And a book shelves on the other side. Countless books are stacked in each side of the shelves and most of it are just laying on the floor.
Jack can't see any other decorations such as vase or wall and ceiling decors. The place is very minimal.
'She's probably a minimalist. But this place, it's very homey and relaxing'. He thought to himself.
He was heading to the shelves to see what types of books she loved to read and to his surprise most of the books are written in different languages. He remembered she can actually speak different languages back in her half sisters banquet.
His attention was caught by a big notebook with a written word of (Sketch Pad) on it. He took it and came back to the couch where Corbin and Trey are silently sitting. Both are busy with their cellphones
He flips into every page and found out that she can also do sketches and he knows she did it because there's a signature in the lower part of it says (Love Azalea).
The next page makes Jack freeze for a moment. He keeps on flipping the pages, more gently this time. He don't want to wrinkled nor crumpled any page. Then he smiled widely.
Trey and Corbin noticed his face brightened after looking at the sketch pad. They tried to peek and was astounded. The sketches are all about Jack. The page he is looking right now is a close up sketch of his face in full details.
There were also sketches where he was leaning on the door entrance. Sitting in the living room sofa and driving away in his car.
But the most captivating sketch is where he's sitting in a sofa while patting Azalea's head. Azalea is sitting on the floor and she is looking up to him while her chin is on top of his knee and her arms are hugging his legs like a child. The intense feeling is captured so well.
