Chapter 69: Fight or Flight?

"Oh, he did call me." Jiwoo smiled. 

"Oh? What did he say?" Haneul asked. 

Jiwoo sat down on the couch slowly, scanning Haneul from head to toe. "I don't know. Wanna ask him yourself?" 

Haneul took a step behind. She felt unexplainably uncomfortable. 

"Why did you come here?" Haneul asked, staying rigid and firm on her feet. 

Jiwoo shifted his gaze around the house nonchalantly. Haneul was both confused and alarmed. She wasn't sure what to say to him when he seemed so calm and nonchalant. Suddenly, Jiwoo stood up from the couch and Haneul felt her legs instinctively move away from where she was standing. 

Jiwoo slowly turned to her and started walking towards her. Haneul knew what she was feeling wasn't right. She felt herself move subconsciously towards her bedroom. The door was open and she made her way to the doorway in a hurry only for Jiwoo to grab her wrist in a split second.
