Chapter 53: Something fishy
Ayaka suddenly went quiet, making Rin be flustered further since her fellow orange-head didn't say anything and then demanded something by spluttering what she said to Ayaka. Her cheeks went redder than before because of that.
"G-Geez, nya. Don't get quiet of a sudden like that. Say something, please! It feels weird if you suddenly like this."
"E-Err… sorry—no, thank you for that, Rin. Even though we have only known each other not that long, I don't think you all in μ's to feel and be like that. I became impressed even more by μ's and couldn't help but love everyone there."
Not only Rin but Hanayo also had her cheeks blush when Ayaka said that with her honesty and charming smile, which made those two childhood friends flutter within their hearts. They feel the same feelings towards Ayaka right now, which is love, as it increased further and made them love Ayaka even more than before. Hoshizora Rin couldn't deny this feeling anymore, and it became clear since she also joined when the entire μ's decided to pamper Ayaka at yesterday's lunch break.
Rin scoffed with a small smile when she finally realized that. Her eyes glanced slightly at her childhood friend, and thinking about something in her head as some thought suddenly crossed her mind when she did that.
'To think I have fallen in love with my childhood friend's girlfriend… but it seems not only me. Everyone in μ's shares the same feelings since we were so obvious by pampering Ayachin at yesterday's lunch. Good grief looks like I have to talk about this with Kayochin, or things will worsen if I don't. I'm sure Kayochin will be okay and calm as she always does if I decide to tell her about my feelings for Ayachin.'
She subtly nodded with a believing look, and eyes showed on her face. Rin is Hanayo's childhood friend, and they have known each other for a long time, so it's normal for Rin to think like that and believe that Hanayo would be okay and calm when she decides to do that until the time for that comes and she ready for it.
"You really love μ's, huh, Aya-chan?"
Ask Hanayo, who gets a response of confirmation nod from Ayaka, which surprises Rin further when she sees that. The orange-haired tomboy knows what her fellow orange-head means since μ's is everyone in the idol group she joined. Honoka, Umi, Kotori, Hanayo, herself, Maki, Nico, Nozomi, and Eli—the entire girls in the group represent μ's, and Ayaka says that she loves them, whether as a friend or more than that.
"That's right, Hana! I love everyone in μ's since they're kind and nice enough to me. Including you two, too. While there might be some unexpected turns, that is no problem since I know there is nothing that can be done about it. Since things weren't too big or serious, it's okay to forget or brush it off."
Hanayo nodded and let out a cute giggle.
"I'm glad nothing serious happened. I'd love to settle everything in quiet and peace."
"As expected from you, Kayochin. Although sometimes adding some spices to life is nothing wrong, nya. Life wouldn't get too boring all the time if we did that. Anyway, Ayachin, you should call me Rin or anything casual from now and forever—we're no strangers and already know a bit about each other. Got it?"
"Got it. I will remember that, Rin. I have to get used to this sooner or later…."
Ayaka said awkwardly, which caused a giggle from Hanayo and a snicker from Rin. The three of them then spend their time heading towards their school with many casual talks about whatever the topic any of them bought. After several minutes or so, they meet with Honoka and her two childhood friends on their way to the school, then Maki and everyone else from μ's.
And like usual, after several classes, Ayaka and μ's would spend their lunch together in their usual spot. However, Hanayo gets approached by Nico and Nozomi, who seem to want to talk about something important and causing the rest of the girls to be confused and wonder what the thing they walked about is. Those three went to another place, which was quiet, and whispered to each other before they finished in five minutes and returned to their lunch spot.
However, only Ayaka quickly realized what they did and decided to keep it quiet since she could guess what was happening next or after this. She didn't want to spoil the surprise of what happened from the result of what Hanayo, Nico, and Nozomi talked about.
'They must talk about that. Although I know Nozomi-senpai harbor romantic feelings for me, I didn't expect her to do it today. To talk about it with Hana on the same day as Nico-senpai. I thought Nozomi-senpai would wait until she deeply think about it. But, it's not like I dislike it since I love all members of μ's dearly and saw them romantically.'
Ayaka scoffed and flashed a small smile when thinking it.
'Most people would find me disgusting, greedy, and selfish. But I don't care about that. I genuinely love them with my heart! And is that wrong for a girl to have a harem of girls, too? I have always wondered that. Maybe I should learn more about those otaku stuffs? Since I learned about harem from that, although only brief.'
She nodded and pumped up her fist as she felt excited and decided what she would do next. While some otaku is gross, disgusting, avoided, bullied, and alienated by many people, Ayaka didn't hate them that much since she was also thankful for a little knowledge of harem. They are human and not another being, after all.
After she finished her thought, Ayaka blinked and noticed that every one of the μ's stared at her, leaving her confused as to why they looked at her like anticipating something. She also noticed some faint blushes on Nico and Nozomi's cheeks while sending her an obvious lovely look.
