Obviously, the teachers weren't just going to accept my supernatural feat to say nothing of how I was clearly running around with a firearm so I had to metaphorically smack some sense into them as I used a iron pickaxe I already made with my builder power to break down the sidewalk outside the school to reinforce the gate with a wall of newly placed concrete blocks that were a meter thick.
But finally as I ignored the teachers they finally consented to speak to me as more zombies began to stream towards the school as my gunshot drew them as well as more and more people falling to the infection.
"Sir, please just explain what is going on." The female teacher wit her dress shirt still ruined that was apparently named Hayashi asked.
"Then end of the world essentially," I grunted as I used my aura-enhanced muscles to leap over the five-meter tall mental fencing that surrounded the school and landed beside the teachers. "Through a variety of forms at this point, the world is facing a zombie apocalypse. So go use the intercom to tell all the students to sit still, shut up, and don't eat or drink anything that wasn't thoroughly boiled as the infection not only travels through bites but through drinking water." I explained and the gym teacher who was in some exercise clothes ran off to go do just that as he realized how dangerous this situation was.
"What do we do then?" She asked and I blew out a gust of air as honestly we have a good couple weeks before mutations settled in and special infected started to become an issue so I focused on the school.
"Well the school has the facilities to feed and house a bunch of people, and the building itself is well fortified once I block off the windows with concrete and metal plates... So I want to turn the school into some kind of fortress while I take down the neighboring buildings for supplies." I spoke as I wondered if I should go to like a zoo and use my animal-taming power to see if I can tame a large carnivore, like a tiger or a bear.
As I did have the talent-sharing ability so I could make the bear or whatever a lot stronger, smarter, and most importantly become immune to the various forms of infections.
"Anyway get the students to quiet down and if they can call their families while they still have time so I can fortify the rest of the school." I said as I heard the people of the city screaming as the switch to the apocalypse got flipped and all hell started breaking loose as flames engulfed the city.
Hayashi bit her lips and I gave her look as I waved my hand. "Also fix your shirt, as although you are hot but there is no need to give the students some wet dreams." I joked at how her dress shirt was still fucked up and she never noticed due to the stress of the situation.
She obviously blushed at how I was basically ogling her tits but my action if anything made her relax slightly as she turned and went back into the school while I lost the joking smile as I frowned at how there was a few zombies already banging at the fenced in property of the school for some reason.
"Can they sense biomass or something?" I wondered but then as I walked around I grimaced as my 'Hunted' drawback somehow acted as a beacon to all zombies within like a hundred meters drawing them towards me which was both good in how I could use that to rack up more karmic points saving people but on the bad end I was literally perfect zombie bait.
Shrugging I then used my 'Builder' or minecrafter powers to puck up materials even breaking down the sidewalk outside the school while killing any zombies that came into sight as I began the lovely process of making a large wall of stone behind the fence of the school seven blocks high with a lip over the side like a castle wall thing so no zombies could climb up the wall although I had no doubt some zombies like hunters or zombies with superhuman abilities could leap up past it.
But spending a couple of hours on fortifying the school was the most important bit as such mutated beings wouldn't be here for a couple of weeks leaving me plenty of time to further fortify as no one can invade a well-prepared castle made by someone having Minecraft logic.
"Hey crazy dude with the axe are you still out there?!" I heard a voice yelling from the other side of the wall as I was killing a trio of zombies with my battle axe.
"One-second dealing with... Some zombies!" I said as I chopped into the heads of the undead beings and made sure to smash the Back 4 Blood worms that were piloting their hosts making me frown as I realized how the Highschool of the Dead and Left 4 Dead zombie virus gave the zombies more undead features meaning they would survive anything that wasn't their brains being destroyed while the Back 4 Blood worms made the zombies more agile, strong, and even intelligent as the worms kept the bodies in working order rather than just falling apart as the virus would make them.
That was the terrible thing about the Back 4 Blood zombies... Those worms didn't kill people they literally just infested the brain and took over the motor controls of the body and its cells to force the body to create more worms to fill the body with. With the extra unneeded worms breaking down to merge into the body to induce helpful mutations.
Jumping back onto the wall and coming back into the school grounds I saw the voice was Saya Takagi, the self-proclaimed super genius and daughter of the local high-ranking political figure and such.
"Are you helping us out of some kind of altruism? As its plain to see you arent hiding your supernatural abilities for whatever reason?!" She said tapping her school shoes on the ground in anxiety and I just shrugged.
"I have my reasons... Are the students keeping quiet? As the zombies have terrible eyesight and sense of smell so thats how they will amass onto the school." I spoke as I approached Saya and took her in and I wanted to roll my eyes at how damned stupid this soft-core hentai world was.
She was wearing the white top with green trim of her school with the ultra-short green skirt that made up her school's uniform and even as she followed me into the school just the motion she made to turn around made her skirt flap upwards showing her stripped panties.
"Wait don't ignore me! I still have questions!" She said harshly as she grabbed onto my arm and I looked down at the shorter girl and into her golden eyes. And then spoke softly and consisly as I gripped her hand and released my leather motorcycle jacket I got so zombies couldn't bite through it.
"Look just follow me and I will give a small speech, just lead me to the intercom room so I can do so and my speech will likely answer most questions you have." I said moving into the school with Saya sniffing as she strode in front of me.
"Fine then just follow me and I will inevitably have questions that you won't be saying so causally." She said almost snootily but I knew she was just a tsundere who was relying on the tsun in her to get through this.
"Have you called your father yet?" I asked and she grimaced as we went into the school and I was glad to see all the students were huddled up in their classrooms and had taken their seating and desks, along with using the tools from the workshop to use the hard school tables as barricades for the windows of the first level classrooms in the time I spent fortifying the school outside perimeter.
"No his line is dead... and any other numbers I call are just busy so I can't connect to my father." She said sadly and I shrugged as to what else could I do?
Either way, Saya led me to the intercom room of the school and I saw the teacher I told to tell the students to shut the hell up just having his head buried in his hands. "Wake up dude." I said holding an arm in front of Takagi and as the man jumped in place I mentally cursed as I saw the open metal thermos next to the man as he leaped towards me frantically with his face darkened with his zombification and as Takagi oh so thankfully screamed into my ear I covered my boots in aura and kicked the man's chest in and onto the ground before I pushed the hysteric girl away as I stepped over the man and stomped his head in.
"Fucking dumbass... I literally said don't eat or drink anything that wasn't thoroughly boiled dammit." I snarled as I hurriedly stomped on the zombies head and crushed all the worms within the head before I walked past Saya, opened a window and chucked the corpse out the school so any worms I missed would die to the elements outside before they could infect anyone else.
"Saya!" I shouted waking her up from her hysterics and she similarly to the zombie grabbed my jacket and started shaking me.
"He wasn't even bitten and that's store-bought tea from the convenience store down the street how did he get infected!" She demanded and rather than deal with her incessant questions I pushed her hands aside as I dragged her into the intercom room.
"Shut up." I said firmly and as she went to say something I literally spanked her across the ass and wondered why she was even wandering around and not in her damned classroom but then I remembered how this was a private school and she was the daughter of the speaker of the Diet or the equivalent of the Speaker of the House or something in America.
I then turned on the intercom as Saya was just stood there in stunned disbelief of my actions and I began speaking. "Alright this is Jake Barris here, I am the guy with supernatural powers who walled in the school and I will be taking charge due to you people being either hysterical sheep who need my protection or fools who will be causing issues in their own ambitions in carving out a little kingdom for yourself," I said duly as I pondered over whether I needed to make Shido face an accident or something as he was trouble waiting to happen.
"Either way, this fortress now has two rules. Keep quiet as sound attracts the zombies, and secondly under no fucking circumstances eat or drink anything that hasn't been boiled for at least an hour as the dumbass I sent to speak on the intercom before thought store-bought tea was fine to drink and paid for that with his life." I said and even in the intercom room I could hear the buzz as thousands of students started talking at once and with a click I almost turned off the intercom before turning it back on. "Also teachers meet me in the gym or something I need to talk to you guys about supplies as I doubt this school as supplies that will last more than a couple weeks," I said frowning at that bit.
I could already feel my Karmic Battery swelling with power as I had inadvertently saved a great many of lives that should have in fact died at this time with my act at killing the zombies surrounding the school and preventing the school from being over-ran.
But such energy would stop filling said battery when these students died. And first of all, I needed to make sure the school's generators and such wouldn't go out when the EMP went off over Japan mostly knocking out the infrastructure of the city.
"Ugh... Too damned much to do." I cursed as I got back up to my feet and followed the map I saw on the wall that would lead me to the teacher's lounge.
