Chapter 48: Chapter Forty Eight: Almost

Erina has always been the most caring child at the orphanage and that made her role as the healer even more fitting.

She always went around every night to make sure that everyone was doing fine before going to bed herself and although it wasn't time to do that yet, she could be seen heading toward Devon's room.

She came to a sudden pause in front of the door and slowly placed her right hand on it.

"He said to not knock and just come in, right?" She muttered under her breath before slowly opening the door.

She was expecting to find Devon sitting on his bed waiting for her but what she saw startled her to the extent that she had to jump back to leave the room.

"What is she doing here?" She muttered before slowly walking back into the room. "And she's asleep."

'Where the heck is Devon?' She pondered with her hand on her chin. 'He said he was going to be here waiting for me by this time. I don't have a good feeling about this.'
