Chapter 2: Twists of fate

It was a typical sunny morning in the bustling city of Mumbai. The streets were abuzz with the cacophony of car horns, and the aroma of street food filled the air. Amongst the crowd, a young boy named Raj, a 21-year-old with dreams as vast as the ocean, was getting ready for another day of college.

Raj lived with his parents in a modest apartment in a close-knit neighborhood. He was an obedient son and a bright student, always eager to learn and explore the world beyond his textbooks. Raj's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sharma, worked tirelessly to provide their son with the best they could afford. Their modest income barely covered the expenses, but their love for Raj knew no bounds.

As Raj walked to college, he reveled in the sounds and colors of his vibrant surroundings. He'd often stop by the local park, where he'd feed the pigeons, who had become his feathered friends. The park was his secret haven, a place where he'd spend time reading fantasy books, imagining far-off adventures, and sketching his dreams on an old notebook.

One fateful morning, as Raj crossed a bustling intersection on his way to school, the world turned on its head. A speeding car, running a red light, came hurtling towards him. The screeching tires and blaring horn filled the air, but it was too late. The collision was inevitable. The car struck Raj, sending him crashing onto the hard asphalt.

In those brief moments before the accident, Raj's life had flashed before his eyes. He remembered his parents' love, his dreams of becoming an artist, and the pigeons in the park. Everything he held dear seemed to be fading away.

Passersby rushed to the scene, their voices filled with alarm. An ambulance was called, and Raj was whisked away to the hospital, leaving behind a trail of anguish and concern in the hearts of the onlookers.

The next hours were a blur for Raj's parents. They received a frantic call from the hospital, informing them of their son's accident. Mr. Sharma, his face ashen, tried to maintain his composure for his wife's sake. They rushed to the hospital, their hearts heavy with worry.

Raj was conscious is slowly fawhen they arrived at the emergency room. His parents stood there, holding each other, tears streaming down their faces, as the doctors worked to stabilize their son. The hours felt like an eternity. The accident had left Raj with multiple injuries, including a fractured leg, a broken arm, and a severe concussion.

As Raj lay in his hospital bed, a warm, soothing light enveloped him. It was a light unlike any he had ever seen, pure and ethereal. Slowly, he closed his eyes and felt his body become weightless, as if he were drifting away from the confines of the hospital room.
