Chapter 8: Tinkerbell test (1)

Due to a slight hitch (connection problem) my update was delayed, so here it is.

.....................

After convincing myself that I was fine, we headed to the training ground to undergo the "bell test". I know the real purpose of this test, but I wanted to face Kakashi to find out my true level. Since acquiring Inuyasha's experience and some of his abilities, I haven't had a real fight. In my opinion, I might be the strongest person in terms of raw power in Team 7, apart from Kakashi. What I really lack is combat experience, and I'm counting on the first part of the exam to give me a minimum of that.

As I continued my train of thought, the system sent me a notification. Looking at my panel, I noticed the new quest.

Looking at the quest rewards, I chose option 2 without excitement. It was the simplest and coincided with my initial intentions.

After explaining the conditions for passing our test, Kakashi let us position ourselves as we wished on the training ground.

As soon as Kakashi gave the signal, Sasuke and I dashed for the trees. As in the anime, Naruto rushed straight at Kakashi and suffered the "ultimate taijutsu": the thousand years of death.

After that, it was Sasuke's turn to be buried by the earthly style "Hide like a mole".

From my hiding place, I watched events unfold exactly as they had in the anime.

Suddenly Kakashi looked in my direction, I knew he'd found me, but before I could react I was hit by a wave of drowsiness. I reacted immediately, digging my claws into my thigh.

The drowsiness disappeared just as quickly, replaced by a sharp pain.

"Genjutsu", I thought.

My back was covered in cold sweat. I'd almost lost before I'd had a chance to fight.

"So your two teammates lost, are you going to surrender Sakura?" asked Kakashi.

Jumping about 50 meters in front of him, I replied: "Not without trying to fight.

I got into a fighting stance, on all fours, with my legs bent under my body, taking advantage of a chakra boost to rush towards him with a Kunai.

In two seconds we were face to face.

A high-pitched sound rang out as we clashed Kunai.

He knocked me off my feet with a sweep and then hit me on the back of the neck, but I was able to escape by substitution.

I rushed towards him again and kicked him.

He grabbed my leg, so I threw him my second leg, which he also grabbed.

Taking advantage of the fact that both hands were occupied, I contorted my body and stretched out my hand to grab the bells, but he threw me into the air.

Landing a few meters away from him, I threw my Kunai at him, which he dodged, then rushed towards him, throwing a punch. He grabbed it and tackled me to the ground grabbing my head to prevent me from moving I inflicted a bite, surprised he let me go giving me a chance to escape.

Kakashi: "But she's biting the wild thing".

I then noticed that his hand was bleeding quite profusely.

Feeling the taste of blood in my mouth, I heard a tinkling in my mind, signalling the attainment of one of the quest's objectives.

"Now just the bells and whistles," I thought.

Turning my attention back to him, I resumed my fighting stance with a smile.
