Chapter 6: Ninja Academy start

Eiji and Kakashi started to look around the village; they didn't go out much, rarely went to the park to play, so they never got to know the village well. Their father seemed to avoid going out much too.

Noticing their curious gazes wandering around, Sakumo couldn't help but smile; he would protect these two with his life. But there was a hint of sadness in his eyes; he hadn't recovered from the loss of his wife.

'She would have loved to take them to school and see them grow...'

Walking a bit, they finally arrived at the school; they had already reached the entrance, and there were many children with their parents. There was the group of "Hn," the group of "blinds," and the others.

Some looked at them with admiration and began to whisper to each other when they saw Sakumo Hatake arrive with two kids.

"He's the White Fang of Konoha."

"Where?"

"Are these his two children?"

"They're so cute!"

"Death to the cutie."

"ATTENTION, ENROLLMENTS FOR THE ACADEMY WILL BEGIN," a chunin was loud enough for everyone to hear, silencing all the random voices.

"Those who already have a recommendation should stand on the right; you will be tested by this chunin. Those without a recommendation stand on the left; all those who cause trouble will be expelled."

"Nonsense."

"Let's see if he dares."

"Son, you should be able to enroll."

"Damn ninjas."

These two rows were supposed to divide the ninja clans and civilians. It could be a little challenging for those who wished to be a ninja without coming from a clan, but they were also giving a chance to those who were not ninja.

Soon, the Hokage of Konoha, Hiruzen Sarutobi, the shinobi god, the strongest in Konoha today, appeared. Despite his age, he shouldn't be underestimated.

Nodding his head, the Hokage raised his voice: "Nice to see all of you; I only came here today to say a few words of encouragement to these little ones who will be the future of our village," the old man smiled gently as he looked at the children.

He stopped his gaze for a few seconds on Sakumo Hatake's children; he had left his missions for a while to take care of them. Hiruzen had only seen them once when they were babies.

Sakumo had already foreseen something like this and nodded.

"The Will of Fire is what gives strength to the shinobi to keep fighting, elevating their willpower and character strength. It always gives you strength in your worst moments.

The Will of Fire is also the symbol of hope and dreams of the previous generation being passed down to the next. They protected and cared for life when we, the elders, passed away over the years.

The Will of Fire states that every true shinobi of Konoha must love, believe, cherish, and fight for the good of the village, just as many previous generations did before them.

I hope the fire burns in each of you throughout your lives." Hiruzen finished his inspirational speech and stepped back as he left.

"LONG LIVE THE HOKAGE!"

"HE CAME TO CONGRATULATE OUR KIDS."

"HOKAGE, GIVE ME A CHILD."

"Let's go," Sakumo nudged his children; he didn't care about the others, he went straight to the right line; he himself had a recommendation.

"Sato Uchiha."

"Tora Inuzuka."

"Hana Hyuuga."

"Enzo Takero."

"Eiji Hatake."

"Kakashi Hatake."

When their names were called, they immediately moved to the chunin; he raised his head and said, "You are Eiji Hatake and Kakashi Hatake, correct?"

"Correct" (said twice).

"Enter this booth; there will be a medical ninja to evaluate your body along with chakra pathways. If you have any issues that prevent you, you will be healed and sent back home. Otherwise, you will be dismissed and sent home, understood?"

"Yes" (said twice).

Inside, they heard screams.

"You're lying."

"My child can become a ninja, yes."

"You despise civilians."

This happened to some people who couldn't mold chakra because their reserves were so low they could never become ninja in their lives.

Entering the booth, a nurse asked some questions.

"Do you promise to love the village and want to help preserve peace and prosperity?"

"Do you have a mind capable of enduring training and hard work?"

"We love the village, and we swear to protect it," Kakashi said sincerely, Eiji not so much.

"I have to check if you're healthy in body and mind," she said while taking some basic equipment.

Kakashi went immediately; he was already impatient with all this waiting.

"You've already unlocked your chakra? Amazing," the medic-nin was surprised; this child was only four years old!

"Your body is very healthy, no problems, and your chakra is almost at a genin level," the medic-nin quickly analyzed Kakashi's condition.

"You passed, Class 1-A," with a smile on her face.

Switching her gaze to me, she examined me too.

The medic's eyes widened: 'This child's body... impossible... It's in the healthiest and most perfect state, much better than any child or even an adult she's ever seen.'

'His chakra is also at a high genin level, a little higher than Kakashi's... The Hatakes are real monsters,' the nurse swallowed as she wrote something in her notebook, much more than she had written before.

"Cl — Class 1-A," the nurse groaned a bit; she felt a strong pressure on her for a few seconds.

Quickly recovering, she said, "Go up to the 2nd floor; your classes start in an hour."

Sakumo Hatake was behind the two children and narrowed his eyes. 'There's something wrong with this nurse.'

"I'll come back to pick you up when the class is over, go," Sakumo said as if nothing had happened.

The duo didn't notice anything.

She wrote something in her notebook and said.

"NEXT."
