Chapter 1: Prologue
An entire year.
That's how long it took for the three boys to finally be able to spend quality time together.
They had all graduated from High School and entered different colleges.
Because of that it became near impossible to find a date where each one of them was available.
But not today, it was 1. of august and everyone was on holiday, so they decided to spend a whole week together in Lagos, a city in south portugal.
Rai was 20 years old, jet black hair with light brown eyes. He was the smallest of the three. Rai had always been the best at whatever he did. Be it at games or at school, once he set his mind up he could do anything. Whenever a plan was needed or when someone needed help, it was mostly his job to come up with something.
Phil too was 20, he and Rai looked very similar. In fact whenever they introduced themselves people always thought that they were brothers or cousins. They might look similar but their characters couldn't be any different. Rai is rather quite and composed, always thinking things through and making decisions on pure logic, whereas Phil just goes through life on instinct and guttfeeling. He would always see the bright side no matter the circumstances and make the best out of any situation. He was always the brightest in the room and even at 20 years of age his childlike demeanor hadn't changed one bit.
Mike also 20, hat dark brown hair and the same brown eyes that Phil and Rai had. During his childhood he had been the victim of bullying due to his obesity. That was until he entered middle school and was put into the same class as Phil and Rai. They hated injustices and would fight anyone that dared to try and bully Mike. Thanks to them he even found the courage to actively improve his life. Now he had adopted a fitness lifestyle, and tried helping other kids that were in similar situations as he once was.
That brings us back to the present. After a whole year without physically seeing each other, they were finally able to spent an entire week together on a boys trip to Lagos.
They were having the time of their lifes, partying, drinking, sunbathing and of course hooking up with girls they met in the clubs.
However on one nightout their vacation was abrutly ended. A bomb exploded in the middle of the city and with that the three boys died.

One moment they were enjoying themselves, the other they were in a white space with a faceless dude in front of them.
"The hell man? Where is this and what happenend?!" Mike asked the faceless being in front of him.
He responded somehow smirking: "You are dead. As simple as that. Now the better question would be what is next?"
Rai stood there with the usual frown on his face, whenever he was deep in thoughts the frown wouldn't leave his face.
As always Phil just went with it no questions asked: "Oh I see. Well that sucks hahaha! Hey guys at least we're still together right? Hahaha!"
"How can you just accept it like that?" Even after years of friendship Mike still couldn't understand Phil's simplicity in life.
Phil was about to make one of his speeches about enjoying life to the fullest before Rai finally spoke.
"This is just crazy. So correct me if I'm wrong but either I went crazy, I'm dreaming or this is one of those isekai anime situations.
*sigh*
You said to ask 'what is next' right?"
The space became silent, the three waiting for the faceless being to respond.
"I grant the three chance to live a new life in the world of Naruto!"
