Chapter 1: Chapter 1

My name is Hitoshi, and I am a transmigrator. Lately, I have been plagued by panic, but it is not due to my transmigration itself. In the world of transmigration, such occurrences have become commonplace. What truly terrifies me is that I have transmigrated into the dangerous world of Naruto, specifically as part of Sunagakure. To make matters worse, I am now expected to become the Third Kazekage.

This reality seems absurd, yet I cannot escape it. I am the disciple of the Second Kazekage, Shamon, and I have saved his life. However, the last thing I want is to become the Third Kazekage. I am not ready to sacrifice my life just yet. The current situation, with the Second Shinobi World War and the height of the Konoha clan's power, makes stepping into the spotlight akin to courting death.

"Hitoshi, did you hear what I said? What are your thoughts?" Chiyo asked, noticing my distraction. As Sunagakure fought for survival, she found my absent-mindedness frustrating. Could Yasuke be a better choice?

Shaken from my thoughts, I refocused my attention on the wounded individuals gathered around the round table, hoping to gain their support. "Chiyo, I believe I am still too young for this role. Furthermore, isn't Shamon still alive?" I quickly reasoned, hoping to avoid becoming the Third Kazekage.

I had no intention of becoming the Third Kazekage, and I wasn't ready to give up my life just yet. However, considering the current situation, with Shamon gravely injured and unconscious, only Yasuke and I remained as potential candidates. Chiyo calmly responded to my objections, acknowledging the immense pressure that came with assuming the position. She explained that my military achievements and contributions to Sunagakure made me the most suitable candidate.

Feeling cornered and unable to find further words to argue, I reluctantly accepted the role of the Third Kazekage. However, I made it clear that in return, Granny Chiyo and the Elder must unconditionally obey my orders. Otherwise, I would rather decline the position. With solemn expressions, they assured me that they would follow my lead. The succession ceremony was scheduled for three days from now.

Having a powerful leader brought comfort to the people. If we could somehow save Shamon, their happiness would be complete. "Granny Chiyo, Elder, the rest is up to you," I said, bowing before them before leaving.

As I arrived home, I noticed a young man standing there, exuding a menacing aura. "Hello, Yasuke. Are there any significant issues on the frontlines?" I greeted him with a slight smile. Yasuke's response was grim, confirming my predictions. The gap between us and Konoha was immense, and we were barely holding our ground.

After Yasuke left, I turned to Chiyo and Ebizo. "I have agreed to become the Third Kazekage and end this war as soon as possible. Yasuke, you will return to the frontline and remove all child soldiers, especially Chiyo's sons."

Their understanding of my strength allowed them to comply without hesitation. I began reading through the two scrolls handed to me by Chiyo and Ebizo, and my expression darkened.

"Toshi, you need to calm down," Chiyo and Ebizo urged, alarmed by the colossal chakra swirling around my body. It was a tangible display of formidable power that sent shivers down their spines, as if death itself were imminent.

"I'm sorry, I got carried away," I managed a forced grin and apologized to them.

"It's alright. What do you plan to do now?" Ebizo asked, struggling to keep his voice steady despite the fear gnawing at his heart.

"So terrifying," Chiyo murmured. "This level of strength surpasses even the First Kazekage, doesn't it?"

The first scroll contained a simple message: Shamon's failure had put the Daimyo's government in a difficult position, leading them to cut down supplies and financial support to Sunagakure. The second scroll revealed more about Sunagakure's situation, with the nobles in Daimyo City publicly criticizing our incompetence while secretly selling military supplies to Iwagakure and Konoha.

"We need to give them a taste of their own medicine," I said bitterly. "Instruct our shinobi stationed at the border to cease hostilities, retreat, and negotiate a temporary truce with the enemy."

The thought of our own army fiercely battling on the frontlines while being openly criticized and undermined by supposed allies infuriated me. If it weren't for the Daimyo's complicit indifference, I would make them pay.

"But what about the Daimyo?" Chiyo asked, her voice filled with uncertainty.

"Elder sister, we are struggling to protect ourselves at the moment. Let us not concern ourselves with their affairs. We should heed Toshi's plan," Ebizo quickly intervened, wholeheartedly agreeing with my approach.

"Alright," Chiyo finally sighed, choosing to keep her peace.
