Chapter 49: The Academy

Time had slipped through the fingers of the young Naruto, and before he knew it, he was now a sprightly six-year-old. Six years had drifted by since the events involving the Nine-Tails.

One might have hoped that the village would have moved past the shadow of that dreadful time, but the villagers clung to the memory of Naruto as the reincarnation of the Nine-Tails demon fox. His status in Konoha Village remained unchanged, a persistent undercurrent of prejudice.

However, Naruto had grown impervious to their scorn. He continued his daily regimen, undeterred by rain, wind, or snow. His relentless pursuit of strength was his refuge, and he reveled in the daily progress he made.

Guided by Shadow Clones, he crafted innovative training methods that yielded remarkable results, constantly surprising even himself. This seemingly monotonous life had become his new normal, and he had found contentment in it.

Yet, this morning marked a departure from the usual routine. Instead of heading to the back mountain, Naruto set his sights on a place he hadn't visited in years: The Academy.

Several days ago, anbu agents had ventured into the mountains in search of Naruto. He had sensed their approach and promptly recalled his Shadow Clones, ensuring that his whereabouts remained concealed.

His expanded perception field, stretching over several kilometers, gave him an edge in detection that even rivaled the Second Tsuchikage's sensory abilities. This heightened awareness was a testament to the formidable power of Kurama, Ashura Chakra, and the Six Paths.

Anbu had located him and conveyed a single message: he was to report to the Ninja School today. Naruto had reached the age for enrollment, and the Hokage had taken personal interest in facilitating his entry.

the Hokage had encountered difficulties in locating Naruto himself, unable to pinpoint his exact position with his Telescope Technique. Every attempt seemed futile. Although they'd found him once, the issue persisted.

Thus, Naruto had set aside his usual training for the day and made his way to the Shinobi School, leaving the back mountain behind. Truth be told, the mountain held little significance for him now.

He had harnessed the power of the magnetic field to envelop his body, allowing him to train ceaselessly in an environment with twenty times the Earth's gravity. This newfound capability had unleashed an exhilarating sensation of lightness, akin to floating on air.

With the power to manipulate gravity, he had secretly tested his abilities and nearly launched himself off the ground without any effort. He now understood the true extent of his power and the boundless potential it held.

Despite this, Naruto gazed at the Academy as he approached, a place he remembered well. The iconic swing outside the gate, where he had often sat alone in the original story, remained unchanged.

But today was different. Naruto stood at a height of 1.4 meters, nearing the 1.5-meter height he'd attained when he graduated at the age of twelve in the original tale. Time had indeed transformed him into a different person, and he was ready to embrace the new chapter unfolding before him.

At only six years old, Naruto stood head and shoulders above his peers, a testament to his years of dedicated physical training. His hard work had not only preserved his exceptional height but had also made him even more remarkable.

Looking around, Naruto noticed that people were gathering. It was the first day of his freshman class, and even senior students had vacated the area to welcome the newcomers. The children in his class were his contemporaries, but they all had their parents by their sides, while he stood alone, a stark contrast that couldn't be ignored.

Some children regarded Naruto with curiosity, others stole glances, and a few brazenly stared. It was evident that he was the center of attention, and parents were hushing their children while offering explanations.

Naruto simply smiled and walked into the school, having grown accustomed to such scrutiny. He could easily brush off the judgment of others.

Waiting in the courtyard of the ninja school, Naruto observed the arrival of the teacher responsible for greeting the new students. Finally, the persistent onlookers were left outside. Naruto silently followed his peers into the teaching building.

As it was the first day of class, their teacher, Umino Iruka, began by explaining what the students should expect in their upcoming school life. Naruto found a seat by the window, secure in the knowledge that his height made him less likely to face any seat-stealing challenges.

With a bored yawn, Naruto glanced out the window, beginning to regret not sending one of his Shadow Clones in his place this morning. He had been concerned about their safety, fearing they might be discovered, but now he was wondering if he could have spared himself the tedium.

His gaze wandered to the mountains in the distance, contemplating the opportunity for more exciting adventures.
