Chapter 61: unpaid taxes
When Kakashi heard me greeting him, he turned and looked at me with a strong hatred that was never hidden in his eyes.
"Why are you looking at me like that? I was just saying hello."
"you are a monster"
"Why did you say that?"
"Even if you turned that man's wife and son into a monster, that man didn't need to know."

Kakashi silently turned his head and looked at Eren who entered the village with him.
Shortly after, I entered the hokage chamber under Kakashi's leadership.
The first thing that caught my attention when I walked in was that all the items in the office had been replaced with more modern versions. I was secretly happy when I saw that the Hokage chair had been replaced with the leather boss chairs from my previous world, because the only company that produced such furniture was my own company, SEF.
The main thing I did in the last two years was to increase my personal wealth. Using my understanding of modernism from my previous world, I sold the things I produced with small costs for big money and became very rich.
*coughing sound*
"Eren, are you listening to me?"
"I'm distracted, so no."
Sarutobi Hiruzen sighed at my frankness and then began repeating what he had just said, while at the same time taking out a stack of letters from the drawer of his glass desk.
"Do you know what these are?"
Before answering, I picked up a letter and read a few words and the name of the sender.
"Sounds like a complaint from the daimyo of a small country."
"These are all messages of complaint from the daimyos of neighboring countries, Eren. And they're all talking about you specifically."
" From where "
"Eren, you know that having a special identity does not give you the privilege of not paying taxes in countries other than the country of fire, right?"
"So the fire daimyo didn't say anything about the water tax."
"Actually, he didn't say anything about it until he heard that your annual net income made you a billionaire, but in the last letter he sent, he said that if you didn't pay taxes this year, he would reduce the aid he would send to Konoha."

Sarutobi forgot the long speech he had planned to make when faced with Eren's unexpected attitude.
"Okay, tell them I'll pay 5% of my net profit in taxes."

"Eren, if you do not accept them, you may face a trade embargo in their country."
I approached Sarutobi, put my arm around his shoulder and looked into his eyes, grinning.
"Tell you what, if you convince them to pay 5%, I will donate 3% of my earnings to Konoha. And I'm not a billionaire, I'm a multibillionaire."
Sarutobi Hiruzen's pupils dilated when he heard the word 3%
"But I don't think they will accept it at all"
"Remember, Hiruzen, my goods are bought mostly by those daimyos. You can use this."
A dangerous light lit up in Sarutobi Hiruzen's eyes and he told me he would handle this.
"Anyway, while you continue to deal with this, I'll go see little Naruto."
When Sarutobi heard me say Hiruzen, little Naruto, he came to his senses and stopped me, who was about to leave the room.

"He is Minato's son and we both know that that child will suffer a lot because of these ridiculous rumors. Why did my father spread such a ridiculous rumor?"
" Rest assured, there's a reason for this, Eren. You don't have to worry about Naruto getting bullied."
" Why not "
"No one living in Konoha would dare bully someone under your protection."
"Ahhh, I'll go talk to my father and if he doesn't succeed in convincing me, I'll tell the whole village that Naruto is Minato and Kushina's child."
I left the Hokage office in anger and headed home. In the original story, I knew that the real reason why Naruto's childhood was so bad was that people did not know that he was the hokage's son, and for this very reason, before leaving the village, I told Sarutabi that Kushina wanted me to protect Naruto, but apparently I forgot to take my father into account and for this reason Naruto's life began to evolve in the direction it was in the original.
After arriving home, I opened the door and went in and couldn't find anyone. I went to the library and ripped out all the shelves, clearing the way to the root shelter.
As I walked down the stairs and walked determinedly down the dark corridor, a root ninja tried to attack me, but was bitten to death by a huge wolf's mouth that emerged from my shadow.
Luckily, the next ninja I came across saw who I was despite the darkness and immediately went to inform my father.
When I came to the cave room where my father was, I asked my father why he was spreading such a rumor without losing my momentum.
