Chapter 8: Chapter 8: Meeting

Ken started his chakra control training.

"Remember, Ken," the wise Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage, spoke in a gentle voice. "The key to chakra control is finesse and concentration. You must focus your chakra on the leaf and keep it afloat."

Ken's forehead wrinkled in concentration as he attempted to channel his massive chakra reserves. At four years old, he possessed a level of chakra unparalleled for someone of his age, a gift of his rebirth into this world.

With a deep breath, Ken whispered, "I can do this." His chakra surged, and the leaf began to tremble, hovering unsteadily for a brief moment before plummeting to the ground.

Hiruzen knelt beside Ken, his aged eyes filled with patience and encouragement. "Don't be disheartened, Ken. Konoha wasn't built in a day. It takes time and practice."

Ken's lower lip quivered as he failed again and again and he blinked back tears of frustration. He wanted to impress his grandfather, to prove that he could master this fundamental technique so that he would teach him ninjutsu already. He picked up another leaf, determined to try again.

Hours passed, and Ken's determination never wavered. Leaf after leaf fell, but he continued to preserve. Hiruzen watched his grandson's relentless efforts with pride, knowing that Ken's colossal chakra reserves held immense potential despite lacking control right now.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the training ground, Ken's exhaustion began to show. His chakra control remained elusive, and his frustration grew. Yet, he refused to give up.

Hiruzen placed a gentle hand on Ken's shoulder. "That's enough for today, Ken. You've shown incredible determination. Rest now, and we'll continue tomorrow."

Ken nodded, his eyes still fixed on the leaf that had defeated him once more. With Hiruzen's guidance and his unwavering determination, he knew that one day he would beat his enemy which was chakra control and master the art of chakra control.

--------Scene Change-----

Four figures were lined up in the conference room in the Hokage building.

The third Hokage Hiruzen, Shimura Danzo, Homura, and Koharu from the Council.

After getting the situation under control, Hiruzen decided to accept Danzo's offer to schedule a meeting.

Hiruzen looked at his three comrades, "The

Fourth and his wife Kushina gave their lives to seal the Nine-Tails. They saved the

village and the lives of various shinobi."

Listening with a sour look, Danzo picked up where the Hokage left off.

"But Konoha took a devastating blow.

Unless we rebuild immediately, the other villages might take this opportunity

to attack." Danzo said

Hiruzen nodded slightly and continued in a grave tone. "I was planning to make arrangements for that right away."

"There is a condition I would very much like to see put in place." The right half of his head was covered in bandages, and Danzo's exposed left eye glittered as he said this cruelly.

Hiruzen met this icy gaze silently, a question in his own eyes.

"I want to move the residences of the Uchiha clan on the edge of the village," Danzo said.

"What?" Hiruzen glared at him, brow furrowed.

Danzo didn't flinch but instead continued dispassionately. "You are aware that only the Sharingan of the Uchiha clan can control Nine Tails."

"Are you saying it was a Uchiha who summoned Nine Tails?"

"I am," Danzo asserted, and Hiruzen held his breath. The two Councillors

watched over the fierce back and forth with closed mouths. "The treatment of

the Uchihas during the Great War, Fugaku refusing to comment when the Fourth was decided on. Dissatisfaction with the village has been growing among the Uchiha clan in recent years."

"I don't agree."

"Members of the Foundation have been looking carefully into the movement

of the Uchihas. It is a fact that the Uchihas are dissatisfied."

"That's a long-standing—"

"That's not all." The self-assured Danzo cut Hiruzen off. "Those who lived

through the Great War are beginning to despair that even a rare genius like

'Wicked Eye' Fugaku must resign himself to being the head of the Military Police

Force. That disappointment with the village will someday become a serious

dissatisfaction, and lead to an attack on Konoha."

"Still, that said, don't you think you're being a bit hasty in declaring the Nine Tails incident the fault of the Uchihas?"

"This is not the kind of thing you can simply leave be just because you have no

positive proof, Hiruzen. Listen. The only thing that can control Nine Tails is the

Uchiha sharingan. That is a fact." Danzo said as he took advantage of Hiruzen's emotional status.

Danzo knew that Hiruzen knew that only a Uchiha could control the nine tails. And since he just lost his beloved wife, he would surely accept his decision to isolate Uchiha.

At least that was what he believed would happen and should have happened if not for the existence of his grandson.

"No, Uchihas are a valuable asset to Konoha and one of the strongest if not the strongest clan in Konoha. Isolating them would not be good for them or the village. Thus, I reject this proposal."

Unlike in the original where Hiruzen was truly grief-stricken due to the loss of so many shinobi as well as his wife, he took out his anger on Uchiha.

But now he had a grandson to care about, thus his grief and anger were turned into a desire to make the village stronger to stop any such incidents from happening and protecting his grandson. Uchiha clan was a critical piece for the village.

Ken's existence is what caused these changes to happen. Even Ken was unaware of these things. He thought that as long as he did not do anything that could affect canon, the timeline would be safe. But boy was he wrong.

Danzo was also shocked to see Hiruzen refusing his suggestion just like that, he was sure that Hiruzen would accept it after Konoha suffered such destruction.

'I can still take advantage of the situation.' Danzo thought

"You are also not supposed to spread baseless rumors about the Uchiha and also about the new nine tails jinchuriki. We don't want a repeat of the Hatake Sukomo incident. Am I clear?" Hiruzen said while looking at Danzo with narrowed eyes to which Danzo could only nod.

'Damn it' Danzo gritted his teeth as his backup plan would not work anymore.

After danzo proposal was refused, Hiruzen said "I will be going to reinstate myself as the Hokage by visiting the Fire Damiyo tomorrow,"
