Chapter 54: Ghost From The Past
" Dan! "
Tsunade knew it was him! She might be drunk but there's no mistaking this closeness she feels! It was her Dan!
" Hmm? "
Mizuki turned slightly confused at the screaming going on behind him.
" Dan..? No you are not Dan! Who are you?! "
* Boom *
Tsunade yelled as she patted the table before her hard enough that wood chips went flying.
The gambler infront of her knew this was time to escape, this doesn't look safe, the fat sheep before he could handle, not this furious girl. That's this Dan fellows job he thought as he ran.
" Who am I? I would glady mention that, but shouldn't you tell who you are first? "
Mizuki lightly spoke with a smile on his face, looking approachable and all around warm.
The emotionally excited Tsunade was currently in her twenties, that's the form she chose to gamble this time in.
Of course Mizuki understood who she was, but this wasn't a proper way to ask a gentleman his name now was it.
* Rush *
Tsunade rushed forward.
* Scatter *
The tables and chairs broke from her forceful rush, Mizuki smiled as he looked at her rushing towards him, her fist raised up.
* Boom *
Gusts of wind flew around as accumulated dust rose in the air, blinding the drunken Tsunade for a moment.
when she focused her eyes she saw the man standing in place, not having moved an inch.
To Tsunade's astonishment, the fake Dan, Mizuki caught her chakra empowered fist without any effort.
" This isn't a good sign, am I to assume you want to start fighting now..? "
Tsunade really wanted to say yes and rush at him for giving her false hopes of seeing Dan again!
But seeing his smile slowly vanishing from his face she somehow faltered.. She didn't want that smile to vanish.
" Che.. Loosen my hand. "
Mizuki looked at her lightly as he said
" No. "
Frowning her eyebrows, she was about to attempt force but-
" You don't want me to loosen your hand.. "
Tsunade stopped in place.
" Do you..? "
Her pupils trembled, gritting her teeth in frustration, she didn't move, just glared right at him.
Mizuki didn't falter either, he too looked at her, straight in her trembling brown eyes.
As time went on everyone assumed these two have it settled, ninja stuff they didn't want to meddle in. So everyone simply left as fast as they could.
As minutes went by and Mizuki and Tsunade were almost having full conversations via their eyes, at least to Shizune that's what it seemed, she figured it was time to stop this.
" Ugh.. Tsunade sama.. please let him go, it was your fault anyway.. "
Pupils shaking one last time Tsunade broke eye contact first.
Taking her fist back, easily this time around, she lowered her head as and walked forward staggering, after reaching her destination, she collapsed in her chair..
Grabbing her head in her hand she looked like a sad, emotionally broken person.
' He looks like Dan.. But his eyes.. they are like Grandpa's.. that warmth.. am I so- '
* Step step *
' He's coming closer.. haah he will probably ask for compensation.. sad, I got no money, you can just punch me back, I'll heal anyway- '
* Pat pat pat *
Shizune's eyes opened wide, the man, Mizuki started lightly rubbing Tsunade's head, almost as if he was caring for an injured little creature.
" Shit don't do that- Tsunade sama she will- "
" It's okay... She will be fine... "
Shizune looked very confused as Tsunade didn't shake his hands off, she instead started shaking herself.
' Is she.. is she crying..? '
Shizune couldn't make out her face due to her keeping her head down, but Tsunade sama was totally shaking right. And what did the man mean-
" It's alright.. it's gonna be okay.. "
The man whispered, and Tsunade sama slowly stopped shaking as he subsequently kept quiet.
The next half an hour was extremely stressful for Shizune, as the man lightly whispered once in a while and Tsunade sama either started shaking or stopped shaking.
Believe her when she says this, she was very very stressed!
* Huff Huff Huff *
Tsunade was breathing lightly.
" ... She's resting. "
The man's voice raised Shizune from her daze.
Finding the chance, she quickly started speaking in a low voice.
" Uhh thank you.. sorry for before, but can you uuh, can you tell me what happened to lady Tsunade? "
The man, smiled even she had to say that was a smile which made her feel comfortable, or was it his general aura..?
" I do not know what your lady has been through, I do not know who she mistook me for or why she attacked me. "
As the man sharpened his gaze, Shizune gulped.
" But I do know a feeble soul when I see one.. she needed help, I gave her said help. "
Shrugging slightly, the man concluded.
" That's all there is to it. "
' That explained nothing! '
Is what Shizune wanted to yell, but, how can she yell at him now of all times!
" Oh. Ugh. Okay.. haha. "
She just awkwardly agreed, anyway it wasn't the first time she didn't get something, if she was so smart she would have been a full fledged medical ninja by now.
Giving a smile that showed he knew she understood nothing, thoroughly embarrassing Shizune, the man got up and he started walking away.
As Shizune watched him leave, she saw he was waking in the opposite direction?
" Ugh the door is that way- "
Before Shizune could say anything more, that man passed through the every single furniture, and then disappeared into thin air!
Giving a silent scream Shizune attempted to process what just happened, if only lady Tsunade wasn't asleep-
" He's gone.. "
" Aah! Lady Tsunade! Weren't you sleeping? "
Tsunade was looking up from her chair, her eyes slightly red, but face brimming with life and a beautiful smile upon her lips.
' She looks so... Alive.. '
Shizune thought in wonder as she saw Tsunade looking her most alive since forever!
Getting out of her daze Shizune quickly asked the most urgent question
" Aah Tsunade sama, he vanished in thin air and he passed through things, it's just like uncle Dan's spirit- "
Tsunade cut her off.
" No, Dan couldn't touch anything in his spiritual form.. that man.. he was here.. in flesh.. "
Shizune was a little flustered by the simple way Tsunade sama was speaking, she almost forgot how she spoke when she wasn't attempting to drink her sorrows away.
" Ugh I see, well, Tsunade sama, what just happened, between you and him..? "
Tsunade tilted her head as she put a lock of her hair behind her ears.
She looked at the direction Mizuki vanished in as slowly whispered.
" Didn't he say it before.. I was injured.. he simply came to heal me..! "
Shizune asked slightly confused.
" Aah you were injured? But you are the world's best medical Ninja! Who can heal you! "
Tsunade gripped her cheek with a smile as she lightly touched her chest, her hand above her heart.
" Even I can't handle every wound Shizune... it's a good thing he could! Isn't that right Shizune! Hahahaha! "
Shizune was not understanding much, but Tsunade sama seemed much happier..? Wait! Could she be meaning to say he healed her emotional stat-
* Shinng *
* Stab *
" Aaah! "
Shizune screamed out as Tsunade out of nowhere, took her kunai out and stabbed her plam.
* Drip dirp drip *
Looking at the copious amounts of blood flowing out Shizune quickly attempted to hide that from Tsunade's eyes.
" Aah lady Tsunade! Look the other side- "
" It's okay Shizune.. I am fine. "
Shizune looked shocked and surprised as she saw Tsunade not even flinch as the blood kept dripping.
With her wide open mouth Shizune slowly put her hands on her mouth, as she saw Tsunade simply bandage her hand up.
" Uhh lady Tsunade, shouldn't you heal yourself? "
Tsunade smiled widely as she showed her teeth.
" No, didn't I say before Shizune, he has healed me, completely.. "
As Shizune heard Tsunade's last whisper. They both failed to notice something.
The soft green glow Tsunade's necklace was emanating.
