Chapter 2: Awakening my Cheat
Akabane Haruto, a 21 year old shinobi who just got promoted as an Elite Jonin of the Leaf Village, laid on his bed, resting after a Jonin selection mission.
But he is not a normal person. He is a reincarnator who had watched Naruto and even read more than hundreds of fanfics. So as any fanfic protagonist, he dreamed big and thought he could simply master 8 gates and FTG and become godlike powerful after getting Rinnegan.
But reality was very different. He was born in Kakashi's generation, and barely became the third Jonin in his grade after Kakashi and Guy. He worked hard on fuinjutsu, but he didn't have much talent in it. So no FTG for him.
In ninjutsu department, he was more successful and was able to develop purple lightning, which has become his signature jutsu. Other variants like Sharp spear, Stream, Purple Kirin, all of them were currently in progress, but he hasn't been able to develop them until now.
His chakra nature was lightning thankfully, so he was able to develop into an offensive ninjutsu specialist. Still, his best jutsu was the A-rank purple lightning, and the rest were B or lower.
In taijutsu, he was the third best in his generation after Guy and Kakashi, and even able to open two gates. But the pain was so much due to the vast chakra reserves he developed that he couldn't go further, and they were the last resorts when he was low on chakra and couldn't use much ninjutsu.
His genjutsu capabilities weren't high, and he was even caught in it by Kakashi's three-tomoe Sharingan during spar, even if it was for a moment. And he didn't know much genjutsu on the offensive side.
In terms of weaponry, he got custom kunais similar to Minato, but wasn't ever able to even get close to mastering his skill. But he just got used to that kunai and uses it. And he didn't really had the time to master a sword till now. He could fight with it, but only at Chunin level swordsman. Nothing too great.
All in all, he was a fairly powerful Elite Jonin without any cheats, ranking just behind Kakashi and Guy in his generation. But this was Kakashi who is depressed and Guy who didn't really had to go beyond Fifth gate in fights. So when the war comes about 9-10 years later, he had a very high chance to die.
But just then, he finally heard a 'Ding!' in his mind that he had given up more than a decade ago. He was suddenly very excited!

Haruto was displeased by this. What kind of cheat it is if he can't directly benefit from it? But he could only suck it up and start working on it. If he can't directly benefit from it, he can make his allies stronger atleast, and even has some fun in this boring world without much entertainment.
