Chapter 6: A Little Bit of Training Never Hurt Anyone *Cough cough
The next day, I went back to the clearing. Remembering last night's dream, I shuddered. I might have thought a little too much about the seal, because throughout the entire night, I just dreamt about the seals. They were doing various things, including singing, dancing, drawing, sparring, and something that looked like dry humping. It wasn't a pleasant experience, to say the least.
I start practicing the seal, and I'm still at the same spot I was yesterday. I continue to practice, and by the end of the day, I still haven't gotten it.
"Damn. This is way too hard. Maybe if I butter Mito up a little bit, she'll give me a bit of a hint." Oh yea. I forgot to say this too, but because I technically still have to go to the academy, I just send a shadow clone there. With around 1/8th of my chakra of course.
When I get to Mito's house, it's already getting dark. Hopefully the old hag is still up. Before I even knock on the door, it swings open, barely missing my nose in the process.
"No, I will not give you any hints." She shuts the door. A tick mark appears on my forehead.
"You almost hit me!" From behind the door, I hear
"Suck it up you pansy." When I hear that, I storm off, but not before cursing her multiple times in my head.
I go home, and promptly fall asleep, and I have the same dream as last night.
-Next day-
Sigh. It's just train and sleep. Rinse and repeat. Nothing else, just failing to make a single seal. I'm starting to think that I probably shouldn't have taken that mission from Alfred.

For some reason, I just keep having the same dream, over and over again.

I finally figured out what the dream wanted me to see! To correctly make a seal, you have to find out what the essence of what the seal does. For the Four Trigrams seal, it's very simple. It seals something into something else. Ha. I can't wait to see that old hag's face when she sees me do this.
I've already made five seals, and although it takes a lot of concentration to make one, I can do it.
I knock on Mito's door. She seems surprised to see me, probably because it's only been five days.
"I'm here to show you that I can make the seal." She looks even more surprised now.
"Well then, you little genius. Why don't you show me?"
"Ok. I will." I say as I start drawing the seal. I infuse the chakra into it, and focus. And there you go. I made one.
"Fine. I will teach you funjutsu. But I can only teach you for a year. I can't do any more than that."
"Why?" I ask. Although I already know the answer.
"You'll learn in a year. Come tomorrow if you really want to learn."
"Ok! See you tomorrow!"
I walk home happily, because not only am I going to learn funjutsu from a grandmaster, I get the reward from the mission. I have enough SP to buy another kekkei genkai, but I'll hold off because I want to buy something else. I also noticed something else strange with this reward. Instead of making my chakra pool 30% bigger, in made my chakra 30% denser, so while I don't have as much chakra, it takes less of it to use jutsus.
And now, I get to open the best part of the reward.
"Alfred, open the seal of my choosing and get me hirashin no jutsu."
"Ding! Host has gained hirashin no jutsu."
Ha ha haaa. I finally got it. Kanon Minato's signature jutsu. The same one that gave him the nickname "Konoha's Yellow Flash".
