Chapter 42: Lady Tsunade
Tsunade was planning to relieve her stress with some gambling after her hectic work schedule. What most people doesn't realise that even though she is privileged, she is hardworking to the core. Besides the ninja missions, her duty as a medic nin doesn't leave much time for her personal use. This was one of the reasons why she was annoyed by Jiraya who spends his free time peeping on women and visiting brothels without a care.
As usual when she just got off her shift, she was again pulled back to work.
" I am not in charge of the operation of Uchiha Asami. Why should I do it ? The operation has been handed over to capable medics, even if they say it's a 40% chance of success, in actuality it is 60%. They will handle it. They just lied to be not under pressure from the Uchiha. After all, the Uchiha are know to be too emotional and aggressive. Besides, my shift just ended. I am leaving! Tell the geezer to stop bothering me in my free time. " Said an annoyed Tsunade as she turned to leave.
The Anbu lady with the dog styled mask stopped her as she blurted out :
" Wait, Lady Tsunade! Lord Third wants you to do it! It seems really important to him! "
Tsunade had an amused smile on her face as she said :
" Your mouth seems loose, Anbu miss! What's the geezer's angle here? And why do I feel that you have some personal goal here? Or is it that the Anbu training has gotten worse over the years? "
The Anbu lady bowed and said :
" Uchiha Rayzen! That's all I could say. My apologies, Lady Tsunade! "
Tsunade had a thoughtful look as she said :
" I seem to have heard of him... Oh! It's that weird Uchiha kid who wanted to learn healing techniques from Chizuru. Interesting... This kid seems to be special to even have that geezer's attention on him! "
She donned her coat and said to the Anbu lady as she was leaving:
" Why are you standing there? Let's leave! I would like to meet this kid as well! "

When Rayzen attacked the Anbu nin, Tsunade was surprised not knowing the reason. But when one of the shuriken, went behind her. She felt there was someone hiding behind them. Nonetheless, her attention was again drawn to Rayzen's Sharingan as she was unable to find anyone behind her and the Anbu nin.
After hearing Rayzen's and Sakumo's explanation, she understood the whole matter. She was impressed by Rayzen's sharp senses as he managed to detect someone and attack that person, even when the rest of them had no clue.
' Unlocking Sharingan at such an early age! His potential seems to be good enough to be... the patriarch of Uchiha clan! As a plus point, his attitude seems different from most of the Uchiha's arrogant demeanor. Is that why the geezer was interested in him? '
As she thought upto there, she also noticed that the kid had ignored her presence, most likely feeling that she was not a threat. But this was new to her, her stunning figure and beauty always drew the attention of everyone, even in the midst of battle. It was a deadly weapon in her arsenal that she made efficient use of.
Tsunade didn't delve deeper into this as she thought the kid was too young and highly focused on his goals. And above all was not like her perverted teammate.
Seeing his relieved faced after she was introduced to him by Sakumo, she asked :
" Why do you seem relieved kid? "
" I heard from Sister Chizuru that you are the best medic-nin in Hidden Leaf ! Please help As... my Mother! " said Rayzen as he bowed sincerely to Tsunade.
Even though Rayzen barely made a mistake of addressing Asami, Sakumo just chalked it upto Rayzen being emotional. On the other hand, Takeshi felt nervous thinking that Sakumo and Tsunade may have noticed something, but seeing no visible reaction from them, he was relieved.
Unbeknownst to the three of them, Tsunade noticed this peculiar error in Rayzen's words and thought there was something more to it. She kept this in her mind and moved on as she said:
" I'll be taking care of Asami then. I heard that you were learning from Chizuru. You can join me in the room with Asami and learn something. "
Rayzen was happy to accept the opportunity to learn and hence followed Tsunade to Asami's room.
On opening the door, Tsunade and Rayzen were assaulted with the stench of something. It was then that Rayzen remembered something:
' Shit! I forgot to clean Asami of the impurities released from performing the technique! '
" What's with the stench? Uh? Its coming from Asami and what is that dirty stuff on her skin! Damn those nurses! Don't they know that the patient should be kept clean?! Its basic protocol! "
As Tsunade started lashing out and was about to call the nurses and make them feel sorry, Rayzen stepped in and took the responsibility.
" I am sorry! Its my fault! I'll help in cleaning! "
Tsunade was still angry from seeing a patient being mistreated like this and hence lashed out at Rayzen too!
" What is your intention? Do you really want Asami to get better? Just because you are a kid, doesn't mean you can get away with whatever you do! Get the hell out of here, before I lose control and do something bad! "
Rayzen didn't want to test Tsunade and left the room hurriedly. He was not worried about Asami now that Tsunade is in charge of her. With a relieved heart, he left for home, but not before getting a lecture from Takeshi due to him addressing Asami by her name.
Seeing the leaving Rayzen, Sakumo's thoughts shifted to Rayzen:
' Unlocking Sharingan at such an early age! His keen senses that picked on the hidden person even when I failed to notice! Lord Third's interest on him! It seems the kid is special and is at the centre of attention of the higher ups. Will he bring glory and honor to the village or be forgotten in its history like other geniuses have been? I wonder... '

After Rayzen left, Tsunade calmed down and instructed nurses to clean Asami and disinfect the room.
She then conducted a diagnosis and was surprised to see that the injured right hand was not as problematic as before.
' What happened? If things are like this, then the operation will be less complicated and a sure success, if the medics do their part! '
She thought hard on how this could have happened. Nothing came to her mind, other than the illogical action of Rayzen doing something to make Asami dirty.
' Could this be the result of his actions? He accepted responsibility for the incident. But why and how did he do that? I should have asked him. It seems that I need to keep an eye on the kid! The geezer might be right in his intuition. He might be a valuable asset to the village! '
