Chapter 14: The Aftermath
-Satsuki POV-
Blood.
dead bodies drowning in their blood.
that was the sight Satsuki was seeing right now.
looking down at her hands, she saw them stained crimson.
she had taken a life, life of a thug, essentially a civilian, sure with a sharp sword but still, a civilian.
(that was Easy, Disgustingly easy).
surprising a grimace, she looked up from her bloodied palms to her client who was getting protection from Outa, one of her teammates, and team Ten.
Satsuki didn't know when they got here, they were supposed to be protecting Tazunas family, but frankly, she didn't care.
Her eyes turned to the other side of the bridge, where far more dead bodies lay than around her.
she saw three figures standing in the sea of corpses, one shorter than the other two.
Asuma, who was standing in the middle of decapitated bodies, some corpses ware missing limbs and some ware even cut in half, surely due to his wind affinity.
Anzashi however was in the middle of bodies who had rigid slashes, a clean hole in the chest, some ware burnt and some ware stabbed with kunai.
And finally, her other teammate, Naruto, standing in front of a cowering Gato, holding his Tanto loosely in his right hand and a customized knife in the left, the bodies near him had necks sliced, stabbed, or halfway cut through.
(only neck... and he used minimal effort).
she thought absently, watching as an unconscious body of Gato hit the ground, and Naruto bent down to pick him up.
she passed out from chakra exhaustion soon after that, the eyes took more than she thought.
-General POV-
[knock, Knock].
A voice rang out in the Blondes' head, making his sigh at the tone it had.
the ninetails was holding back laughter.
(I just killed 67 people, it's not the best time for a knock-knock joke).
Nevertheless, he had to answer him, or the fox would be annoying him the whole day.
[play along, Knock Knock].

[Daisy].
(Daisy, who...?).
[DEISY ME ROLLING, THEY HATING...].
(... you got that from a Marvel meme, didn't you?).
he didn't get an answer, just laughing in his head as he dragged out the unconscious body of Gato from the pile of corpses, and left him in a clear place for one of the two jounin to pick up later.
he stretched his hands, producing a few pops, and looks around the bridge.
team ten had arrived as backup... Ouka is protecting Tazuna and Satsuki...
he didn't see Satsuki.
his eyes roamed around the bridge and found her... laying on the floor.
(...shit).
using a little chakra in his legs, he dashes to the fallen form of his teammate.
rolling her over, he checked her for injuries, but thankfully only found a few scratches.
(...chakra exhaustion).
with the sigh, he picks her up in a bridal carry and turns to his sensei, who was Carrying the unconscious Gato, or as Kyuubi calls him "Useless bag of flesh".
"What happened to her?".
was the first thing that came from her, seeing one of her students unconscious caused her to worry.
"Chakra exhaustion, other than that only scratches".
he Answers back, carefully adjusting her in his hands, and starting to walk towards Tazunas home.
"Where are you going?".
this voice was male and deep, it was Asuma, and he sounded worried, most likely because of what he did a few minutes ago.
"She needs rest, im taking her to Tazunas house".
he didn't even turn back as he answered, and continued walking, taking care to not shake the person in his arms.
"... I bet three years".
Anzashi says absentmindedly, still looking at the retreating back of her students.
"...hmmm, two and a half".
Asuma counters back, standing a bet like they haven't just painted half of the bridge red with the blood of numerous thugs.
and none of them would admit it but a Genin was more efficient than them.
nope.
it will be in a report though.

it was time he dispelled his clones... Naruto was a little concerned, he had... he didn't remember how much training, so he did the only thing reasonable.
made a single clone, and went to sleep, instructing his copy to dispel when he was sleeping, and the fox would help his headache as well.
he just hoped that there was some progress in certain areas.
like explosions.
though he was more excited about the chains, so he had to train with them soon enough.
