Chapter 22: The fight
"The fight will be a team battle, jutsu are allowed, weapons are allowed, if I think that you are going overboard I will step in".
Dais the proctor, who was wearing the standard jounin outfit with a bandana on his head.
Team seven and Team Guy were facing each other in the arena, their teachers were watching as well as the other team's. Anzashi was just watching her team while Guy next to her was talking with a serious look on his face.
(probably blabbering about how we don't stand a chance).
He mentally chuckled. Knowing exactly what to do, he stood to the left where his opponent was. Rock Lee, was standing to the right of Neji, who was standing in the middle of his two teammates. Noticing Narutos eyes on him, he lock their gazes but didn't last long. The blonde wasn't his interest, he wasn't labeled the best of the year, Ouka might have been the rookie of the year in the title but Uchiha Satsuki was the best Rookie to come out of the academy after Neji. He wanted to see just how strong she was.
Naruto, Seeing Lees gaze on Satsuki, decided on his next course of action and waited for the signal to begin.
"-and if I say the match is over, the match is over, understood?".
The proctor finally finished. Naruto realized that he had turned everything out... it was nothing important anyway. Probably.
"Begin!".
As soon as the command was given, Naruto dashed in front of Satsuki, blocking a kick from Lee. as planned, Satsuki left the green-clad Genin to him and rushed towards Neji... If he was being honest, their clan rivalry is very irritating.
Grabbing his opponent's leg, the blonde swings his fellow genin into the wall.
(That's heavy).
He was tempted to use the only fore jutsu he has and enhance it with his Gunbai to finish the fight, but Naruto couldn't, he was fighting a fellow Konoha Nin.
So...
With a burst of chakra, he was in front of Lee again, sending a kick to his head. The green-wearing ninja seeing this snapped out of the daze and ducked.
"You're not the one I want to fight".
Naruto raised an eyebrow, amused at his words.
"I'm not giving you a choice".
And with those words finally uttered, both of them blurred into action.
-Anzashi POV-
"-you have trained your students well, but the experience will win out".
Anzashi wasn't listening. She didn't care what this weirdo and Self proclaimed rival was saying right now. She was too proud of her students to hear anything right now. Ouka was always staying close to the tenten girl, not giving her a chance to pull out her weapons from her scrolls.
Satsuki, knowing the specialty of Hyuuga, was keeping a distance, evading any attempts at a strike on her body.
However, Naruto was the one she was keeping a keen eye on. He was dodging his opponent's blows, throwing in counterattacks when there was a chance, and blocking any blow he could take while his clone went in for a strike.
(...he's not using his Katana, not his Gunbai... why would he need a Gunbai anyway?).
She watched as Narutos punch was caught, the blonde taking advantage of it by jumping in the air and sending a kick right for Rock lee, sending the green-clad Genin through the air. Unfortunately for Naruto, He managed to land on his feet.
-Naruto POV-
(...Is it just me, or is he using those weights on his feet as weapons?).
Naruto mentally questioned. Tilting his head, he dodged a kick and grabbed the offending leg, he pulled and sent a punch. It was blocked but that wasn't important.
[He is, but why aren't you using your katana? you did place some dulling seals on it. they were the first ones you learned afterall].
Naruto did the mental equivalent of an eye roll, not wanting to pull out the deadly sword... because he didn't want to admit that he forgot to dull his weapon.
[Ha dumbass].
(I hate you).
"Fire style: Fireball jutsu".
(...Did she just call out her jutsu?).
[I Believe so].
"Heavenly Rotation!".
He had the urge to slap the back of their heads. why the heck do they do that?.
[they're idiots, ignore them. Finish this].
And with that, he kicked Rock lee into the wall. Again.
-Anzashi POV-
"..."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"... did they just call out their attacks?".
Asked Obito, Rin standing next to him, looking down at the students. A mix of confusion, Astonishment on their faces.
Anzashi just stared. she was disappointed. not at the kids, but herself. How could she forget to tell them that?...
Maybe Naruto wouldn't do the same...
She could only hope.
