Chapter 128: Genkai Vs Yoriichi (3)
"I am the bone of my sword. Rho Aiassss!"
Yoriichi formed a full seven-layer Rho aias shield to defend against the tailed beast ball that Genkai had launched.
As the tailed beast bomb came in contact with the first of the barriers, it exploded.
The entire area was engulfed in the explosion. Thankfully for the prisoners, their cells were protected by fuinjutsu barriers that protected them before breaking.
Normally, no fuinjutsu seals would have been able to defend against such a strong explosion. But these seals were supplied to the Hozuki castle by the Uzumaki clan so they managed to hold out. They broke down in the end.
Kaito, Chino, and Jiro were inside a crystal dome that was created by Kaito using his kekkei Genkai.
*Crack*
The dome shattered after withstanding the explosion.
"That was insane!" Chino said excitedly looking at the destruction.
"Why are you excited about it? Yoriichi might have died after taking that hit. I doubt even his shield would be able to take that thing on before breaking." Kaito said annoyed because if Yoriichi died, they would have to fight Genkai sensei and it would be a pain in the ass.
"You should know by now not to underestimate Yoriichi. Even if his shield did not stop that attack, it would have taken most of the force of the explosion leading to only some major burns. Yoriichi could easily heal from that." Chino said confidently
"I hope so. I don't want my uniform getting torn up or dirty. My mom would have me wash it or even sew it if that were the case." Kaito sighed thinking about the troubles that lay ahead of him. He then looked at Kakazu's direction to check whether he was still alive after that explosion or not.
Kakazu was covered in layers upon layers of black threads. He removed them before he disposed of the ones that had been burned or turned into ashes by the attack. The Kusakage was protected by him too.
"Look the smoke is clearing !" Jiro shouted
They turned their eyes to the battlefield where they could see that Genkai was unharmed as he had used his jutsu to absorb any explosion coming his way.
They were more surprised to see Yoriichi unharmed with only two of the seven barriers broken.
Kaito cursed "How hard is that barrier even? What is the procedure for getting one? It would save me the hassle of learning defensive jutsus."
The others agreed with him. If Yoriichi heard Kaito's words, he would say to get the barrier you would have to die and spin a roulette in front of a God.
Yoriichi was himself surprised as this was the first time something had managed to break his barrier. Honestly, he thought that an attack from Genkai would break at least four barriers. But it was helpful for him to know the limits of Rho Aias so he could determine how many barriers he should deploy considering the strength of the attack.
'I have almost exhausted my chakra by forming all seven barriers. They are really chakra-extensive. Jeez, If I could just use them like a C rank jutsu, It would not be Gaara who would be called the one with the absolute defense but me hahaha.' Yoriichi got in a deep thought about his fantasies before focusing back on the battle.
'This farce has gone long enough. I should try that technique. Sensei does not know about it and considering he is functioning without a brain, it would work on him.' Yoriichi thought as he deactivated his thunder demon slayer mark before recharging his chakra by taking it from his scabbard.
'Water Breathing: Seventh form: Drop Ripple Thrust, Curve'
Yoriichi drew a square with his sword in the air with Genkai in the center of it.
A transparent wall appeared in front of him made out of a thin layer of water. Genkai's image was in the center of it.
Genkai did not move as he did not sense any danger coming from Yoriichi so he just stayed put and weaved handsigns for his next ninjutsu.
But before he could complete his hand signs, Yoriichi performed a precise, fast, and accurate thrust with his blade on the water layer that was in front of him. A ripple of water followed the thrust.
Genkai suddenly stopped his hand signs as he spitted blood. A wound appeared in his abdomen.
This was the seventh form of water breathing technique and the one that had undergone the most change after chakra was integrated into it.
To simplify what happened was that Yoriichi created a water mirror with Genkai's image on it and when he struck the sword in the image of Genkai's body, a similar wound appeared on the real Genkai.
The technique was similar to Hidan's ritual with blood. But like Hidan's technique, his also had limitations.
He could not move from a single spot while performing this technique. The enemy who is the target of this technique can't move either and has to be visible on the water layer formed by this technique.
So if anyone hides behind a tree or earth wall, the technique won't work.
He was planning to use this technique from afar to assassinate people without them knowing how he did that. If people got to know the limitations of the technique, it would become useless.
Just like Hidan who caught Asuma unaware of his technique which led to Asuma's death but facing Shikamaru or Kakashi he could not do the same as they knew about his technique and took precautions for it.
That's why he was planning to use this jutsu only when not many enemies watched him perform this technique and if an enemy did watch it, he would make sure it would be the last time they had watched it so they can't spread information about his abilities.
As he saw Genkai bleeding out, Yorrichi had a weird expression on his face as he looked at his teammates and asked "Anyone of you know medical ninjutsu?"
