Chapter 46: Tournament (2)
"Alright here are the matches for the next round." announced Genkai and on a huge paper which could be seen from all over the arena, the matches for the next round were displayed.
1.Yoriichi Uzumaki vs Hisame Hoshikagi (Dark Horse from the Hoshikagi clan)
2.kaito Eizen(Yoriich's friend with high IQ, laziness and crystal release) vs Ayaka Yuki( Daughter of clan head of Yuki clan)
3.Kiyoshi Watanabe(Yoriichi classmate, created his own taijutsu like Hyuga gentle fist and combined it with wind style) vs Chikao Yuki ( Son of one of the elders of Yuki clan)
4. Hiroko Nabe (Son of Land of Fire Damiyo) vs Fumiko Kurama(Best Genjutsu expert in competition)
5.Kin Chinoike(Son of patriarch of Chinoike clan) vs Riku Hasegawa (Son of merchant, Yoriichi's classmate)
6.Benjiro Uzumaki (Member of Uzumaki clan of Adamantine chains branch and is a Fuinjutsu expert) vs Itsuki Kenda(Yoriichi friend, has Aburama bloodline and has created his own insect breathing)
7.Hiromi Uzumaki(Member of Uzumaki branch of healing) vs Jiro Uzumaki (Yoriichi's friend with Akimichi and Uzumaki bloodline)
8. Hito kaminari(Son of water Damiyo) vs Chino Chinoike (Expert in her Dojutsu ketsurgyan and puppet arts)
"This is going to be an interesting round. Especially the battle between Kaito Eizen and Ayaka Yuki. Crystal release vs Ice release. It would be fun to watch." said Tsuchikage.
"I am looking forward to the battle between Yoriichi Uzumaki and see what else the grandson of the Uzukage can do." said Mû
In another corner, Tobirama was talking to his students.
"Do you think you all can beat these kids from the Top-16?" asked Tobirama.
"Of course I can beat most of them easily." said Danzo proudly
"Danzo you should not underestimate your opponents. All of them are very strong with unique abilities and kekkei genkais. I don't think you would be able to beat most of them." said Hiruzen
"So what? I will have a kekkei Genkai myself too." retorted Danzo
"Hiruzen is right Danzo, You should not underestimate your opponents.Who do you think can defeat you Hiruzen?" Tobirama asked
"I will have to watch more of their battles to know who can manage to beat me. But Fumiko Kurama with her strong Genjutsu would definitely trouble me since I don't have any method to counter it except my exceptional chakra control." Hiruzen answered
"The Genjutsu from both Uchiha clan and Kurama clan is very strong but both of them have weaknesses. You could avoid Uchiha's Genjutsu by not seeing their eyes while you could avoid the Kurama clan's Genjutsu by not hearing what he or she speaks." Tobirama said
"Who do you think will be the most troublesome opponent sensei?" Koharu asked Tobirama.
"Looking at these kids, I can feel at least 5-6 can beat most of you except maybe Hiruzen and Torifu." answered Tobirama
"Sensei is right, I sensed their chakra and there are many monsters among them. They have not even shown what they are capable of. Yoriichi, grandson of the Uzukage has a vast amount of chakra and even Hisame has a lot of chakra.Their battle will definitely be worth watching." Homura said
"The match is going to start."
"Hisame Hoshikagi and Yoriichi Uzumaki make your way to the arena."
Both Yoriichi and Hisame Hoshikagi made their way to the arena. Hisame had a strong build with a shark face like a typical member of the Hoshikagi clan. He carried two tantos on his back.
"Let's have a good fight Yoriichi San." He said politely to Yoriichi.
Yoriichi was surprised to hear the kind tone and said "I am looking forward to the battle."
"Begin" announced Genkai
Both of them drew their blades and charged forward. The clashing of steel filled the air as the two kids engaged in combat.
Hisame Hoshikagi started by feinting a high attack, then quickly switched to a low strike.
Yoriichi with his experience in swordsmanship saw through his opponent's feinting tactics and reacted quickly.
He parried the enemy's strike with ease, sidestepping with eloquence.
Yoriichi continued it by thrusting his sword forward in quick movements as he danced around Hisame.
The quick slicing of the sword left Hisame's torso with a slight injury. He then maintained some distance from Yoriichi.
"You have got good swordsmanship skills." said Yoriichi praising Hisame
"Not as good as you." Hisame said while putting the tantos back in their scabbards. He did quick hand signs.
'Suiton: Dai Bakusui Shōha(Water Release: Great Exploding Water Colliding Wave)'
He expelled a large amount of water from his mouth and covered the entire arena with water.
Yoriichi balanced himself on the water and started walking on top of the water.
"What a massive amount of chakra!" said the Uchiha Patriarch
Hisame did another jutsu.
'Suiton: Ameshikō( Water Style: Four shark shower)'
Hisame slammed his palm onto the water surface, sending a large surge of water into the air. This water then formed into a group of four water sharks that attacked Yoriichi.
Yoriichi made his own handsigns.
'Katon: Hōsenka no Jutsu (Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu)'
Small fireballs were launched towards the sharks.
Each fireball hit the water sharks and managed to destroy them out but Hisame just smirked and made a hand sign "Water style: Infinite Shark assault"
The water that previously formed the four sharks formed into countless small sharks and attacked Yoriichi.
"As good as you are, Even you can't dodge all of these sharks." Hisame said
"Is that so?" Yoriichi said
'Water breathing:Third Form: Flowing Dance'
Yoriichi swung and bent his blade in a winding motion with water flowing from it and danced in a flowing pattern, slicing everything in its path, jumping around the small sharks and at one time, he was in the air with no sharks.
Yoriichi swung his blade downwards midair with flames covering the sword.
'Flame Breathing: Seventh form: Volcano Eruption' [A/N:Self made move there was no seven breathing form for fire in anime or manga]
He struck the flaming sword vertically downwards and sliced both the water and the ground beneath it.
The ground exploded with flames and the water covering it also exploded in all directions along with mud and rock.
Now the ground was covered with flames and all the water had evaporated. Hisame dodged both the rubble from the explosion and the flames.
"That's a brilliant sword technique he used here especially considering he didn't even need any handsigns to do it." said Mû
"Well, it looks like you no longer have the environment advantage." Yoriichi said
"I yield" Hisame said
"Yoriichi Uzumaki wins" Genkai said
Yoriichi was surprised by this and said "Why did you yield, I can tell you are not done yet and still have a lot of chakra in your tank?"
"Most of my techniques are water jutsus and shark summoning, all of it needs water. With your fire style without handsigns, I don't stand a chance against you right now. But the next time we fight, I will make sure to defeat you." Hisame said
"Very well, Let's battle again sometime." Yoriichi said as they shook hands as the crowd cheered for them.
