Chapter 126: Yoriichi Vs Genkai(1)
Yoriichi had his blades covered with lightning as he zoomed towards Genkai who had an expressionless face and took out his Tanto covering it with his dark release chakra and met Yoriichi's attack head-on.
Genkai had taken inspiration from Yoriichi's sword techniques and created his own technique using his kekkei genkai of dark release. While it did not increase the power of his attacks by much, it could instantly nullify any chakra defenses like Earth wall or anything chakra-related easily which included Yorrichi's breathing techniques.
*Boom*
*Clang*
As the two met head-on, the lightning on Yoriichi's sword was immediately fuzed out as soon as it came in contact with Genkai's but surprisingly It was Genkai who lost the first exchange as he could not handle Yoriichi's physical strength and was sent backwards slamming to a wall.
As for why Genkai lost the first clash despite nullifying Yoriichi's lightning, it was because Yoriichi's physical prowess was much higher than his. On top of that, The thunder demon slayer mark not only increased his control and power of lightning but also multiplied his physical attributes by ten making him even stronger.
Yoriichi knew that it would take a lot more than that to knock Genkai out so he continued his onslaught.
'Thunder breathing: Fifth Form: Heat Lightning'
He unleashed a long-ranged upward sword slash accompanied by lightning. The slash was about 10 metres big and with lightning speed reached Genkai.
It cut through the entire wall before exploding. Some of the prisoners who were inside the prison were killed in the aftermath.
Yoriichi though before even seeing the result of his attack turned backwards to block Genkai's blade who had teleported himself at the last second behind Yoriichi.
Their blades met in a clang before Genkai again teleported to another of Yoriichi's side. Yoriichi summoned another of his blades from the storage seal he had inscribed on his arm to block Genkai's strike.
This pattern continued before Genkai managed to land a kick on Yorrichi. And it was now Yoriichi's turn to be blasted away through a wall.
As Yorrichi got up, he saw a fireball jutsu heading this way. With a quick use of his dojutsu, the fireball disappeared just like that.
'Genkai sensei would not be using a ninjutsu like the fireball jutsu against me. He knows about the abilities of my dojutsu and surely he would not do something this stupid. That means he is acting purely on instincts which means he is not capable of thinking of different battle strategies. I can use that to my advantage. GH, I wanted to fight him when he was at his best but guess I would have to do with just a mindless Genkai sensei. But still, his instincts are terrifying.' Yoriichi thought
Yoriichi was not planning to use his dojutsu abilities for attacking just yet. He was pretty sure that with Genkai sensei's instincts, he would be able to dodge the minimized black rods easily. He even believed that Genkai was bitten by a spider that gave him spidey senses.
'First form Thunder breathing: Eightfold'
In a flash of lightning, Yoriichi appeared in front of Genkai and swung his sword towards Genkai who did not even have time to teleport but was still able to protect himself with adamantine chains.
"Damn, I thought Yoriichi was going to kill sensei there," Chino said
"Does he have to use such dangerous attacks against sensei? What if he accidentally kills him?" Jiro said not wanting to see his dear sensei die.
Kaito though spoke in favor of Yoriichi "He is fighting Genkai Uzumaki of the dark release, mind controlled or not if Yoriichi does not fight him with the intent to kill him, it would be him that would die."
"Keep watching the fight, Be ready to help Yoriichi if he falls into a disadvantageous position." Everyone nodded at Kaito's words. Kakazu too watched the battle while the Kusakage was next to him unconscious and wrapped in black threads.
Yoriichi continued his onslaught with seven more attacks enhanced by bursts of lightning. He managed to cut through several adamantine chains but Genkai kept making more and more.
He knew that Genkai was one of the best masters of using Adamantine chains second only to his dad and grandpa. Heck, he has not even awakened his ability to conjure adamantine chains yet.
If he did not have confirmation that God would certainly have 'installed' that ability in his body, he would have thought that he would never unlock the Adamantine chains ability. After talking with his dad, he got to know that the ability usually awakened at the age of 18-21 so he does not have to worry about it.
Yoriichi kept slashing at Genkai from different sides but the chains protected him. Taking the chance, Genkai weaved hand signs one that Yoriichi has not seen Genkai use ever.
'Dark Style: Shadow Destruction'
His shadow elongated and as it touched Yoriichi's shadow, Yoriichi felt some chakra being passed to his shadow.
Yoriichi felt his own danger senses tingling but before he could react an explosion took place engulfing both him and Genkai.
