Chapter 29: Chapter no.28

Uzumaki-Namikaze Estate
Tsunade had just made her way into the compound. She was curious, ever since Naruto had gotten out of the hospital she had been wondering about him more and more. She was supposed to be his godmother and yet she didn't know a single thing about him besides what medical reports said. She didn't even remember ever speaking to him before. Had she pushed him aside just so she could spend time with Nawaki and the girls? Sure he was older but that didn't mean she should ignore him. What had happened.
This is why Tsunade was on her way to see the Uzumaki-Namikaze family, to find out more about her godson. She had noticed that Natsuki was the only one from the family who had visited Naruto more than a handful of times. She tried to think back on the times when all of them would spend time together and it just wasn't there. Or more like he wasn't there. She didn't have a single memory of spending time with Naruto other than when she was operating on him.
With those thought she knocked on the door of the main house.
She was greeted by an energetic redhead, "Oh hello Tsunade! Why don't you come in?"
"Sure there were some things that I wanted to talk about anyway."
They walked into the living room and were greeted with the sight of Natsuki doing her homework on the table and Narumi reading a manga.
Tsunade decided to greet the girls, "Good afternoon Narumi, Natsuki."
Namumi merely nodded, not even looking up from her book.
Natsuki bowed and greeted her, "Good afternoon Tsunade-sama. What are you doing here today?"
"I actually cam by to see how your brother was doing after getting out of the hospital a few months ago."
Natsuki looked shocked, Tsunade never came to ask about Naruto before.
Kushina's thoughts were brought to her oldest son, "You know I don't think I've seen him in a while now that I think about it. Natsuki-chan did he come with you from the academy today."
Natsuki looked down, "Nii-san wasn't at the academy today...if fact he hasn't gone for the past couple of days. Even Satsuki-san came today."
The two women remembered the poor girl who was one of the few survivors of the Uchiha massacre, but then they got curious.
Kushina started to get angry that her own son was turning into a delinquent, "If he isn't going to the academy then where does he go every morning! I didn't raise my son to be some kind of delinquent!"
Tsunade and Kushina the noticed Natsuki's downcast expression, "I-I don't know...I don't really talk to him that much in the academy...he's usually either with Satsuki-san or Hana-san."
Tsunade was getting irritated at not finding any answers about Naruto, "Well why not he is your brother isn't he. Shouldn't you at least be friends with him?"
"I try to spend time with him, I really do! But as soon as the bell rings all of us surrounded by the rest of the kinds in our class who just want to spend time with the Hokage's daughters. Nawaki also gets trapped by his fangirls!"
Yep somehow he had fan girls. It was still a mystery to all of the students and teachers of the academy. It was probably due to his stuck up emo attitude. That kind of personality just draws in girls, like moths to a flame.
Tsunade and Kushina grew tick marks on their foreheads, "Fangirls! He's nine years old how does he have fangirls? They shouldn't even know about things like love yet!" Tsunade screamed.
Natsuki just sweat dropped at her god mother, "Anyway that's when Naruto usually leaves."
"Why don't you just check his room to see if he's in there" Narumi replied, clearly uninterested in the topic at hand.
Kushina tried to remember the last time that she had been to his room but she couldn't, which confused her greatly. She knew that she was a great mother even if she couldn't train him when he was younger. "Yeah why don't we go do that."
With that said, Kushina, Tsunade, and Natsuki went upstairs and stopped just before the door.
"I don't ever remember coming up here" Kushina stated rather confused.
"You've never been up to your own son's room before?" Tsunade asked suspiciously.
"It's not like I went out of my way to avoid him, but we had to train Narumi, Natsuki, and Narumi so that they wouldn't lose control."
Tsunade could only roll her eyes remembering Naruto's previous condition, "That just worked wonders didn't it?"
Tsunade opened the door leaving a gaping Kushina and a guilty Natsuki behind.
She didn't like what she found. The room was barren. Not only was Naruto not there but there was nothing in there at all. The only thing that she found was a bed with only a mattress on it. There was dust covering everything and there wasn't a single personal item in sight. It was quite obvious that nobody had lived there in quite a while.
Tsunade's eyes hardened, "Would you like to explain what's going on Kushina?"
Kushina and Natsuki could only stare on with wide eyes, "I-I don't know what this means. I don't know what any of this means. I swear I saw him here yesterday...I think."
"You think! It's obvious nobody has lived in this room for months!"
Natsuki now had tears rolling down her face. Her Nii-san was gone and he wasn't coming back.
Tsunade had one thought on her mind, 'He's not coming back, wherever he is. What could Minato and Kushina could have done?'
