Chapter 59: Chapter 59: Chunin missions
Naruto, Sasuke, and Shino all trained for around a month in using the 8 Gates and Guy was very proud of them, Naruto reached the 4th Gate thanks to his shadow clones while Shino reached the 2nd, Sasuke was the least talented in using the 8th Gates as he was more of a high-speed Nin and Genjutsu fighter, not as much of a physical combatant like Naruto or Shino, he was still trying to master the 2nd Gate.
This was still an awe-inspiring feat though, Might Duy, Guy's father took decades to learn how to unlock the Gates, Guy himself trained all his life and could open all 8 by the age of 20, which was also very impressive, but Naruto far surpassed them in talent as he reached the 4th Gate within a month, which was quite unheard of.
Of course, this made Shino and Sasuke work that much harder but they were now Chunin and they were required to do a minimum number of missions each month, and if you didn't complete them then you would be put under review with high chances of being demoted so Naruto and his team started taking missions.
Their first mission made them realize that Chunin missions were a lot more difficult than Genin missions and by quite a lot at that, there was a certain need for experience for Chunin missions, and it made sense, the only difficult mission that Genin teams would do was maybe an escort or extermination for them to gain experience but Chunin did those type of missions all the time, and Chunins had much more complicated missions many involving killing large groups of bandits, hunting down rogue ninja and performing assassinations, of course, these missions still weren't that difficult as they were only Chunin and low Jonin level missions, any more difficult missions would go to the Anbu and to Jonin.
The first mission Naruto, Sasuke, and Shino took was a bandit extermination mission, the three of them were to go to the village that had reported the bandits, collect information and kill the bandits and if possible retrieve any villagers that have been kidnapped.
They set out at a high pace intending to reach the said village before nightfall, they made rapid pace and arrived a few hours before dark, they arrived in the village and many of the villagers looked relieved to see them, age wasn't much of a problem if u held the vest of a Chunin and the orders of the Hokage, the villagers were even amazed that they could be Chunin at such a young age which made their job a lot easier.
They found out that 4 girls had been kidnapped from the village and the reason as to why was obvious even to them, the family of those girls had already given up as it had been more than a day since they had been kidnapped, they were most likely already dead or wishing to be dead.
Naruto was angry inside, he hated seeing innocent people suffer because of the evil in others but it was just the type of world they lived in, but he would help out and make the world a better place if he could.
Shino was also angry, he hated unjustified evil, especially against innocents but he was taught by his clan that in the end only the strong survived, the strongest insects were the leader and would live on to make better future generations.
Sasuke was furious though, he hated seeing others suffer and would do anything to help them out, he had been taught by his family that in order to not be called the clan of hate they needed to love, and saving others helped out a lot in that, so Sasuke strived to be as much of a kind person as he could be, but sometimes you just couldn't forgive people, and this was one of those cases.
They set out in the cover of darkness that night provided, Naruto's sensing allowed them to easily find the camp of bandits, there were a total of 32 chakra signatures, 3 of those were extremely weak.
They stalked around the outskirts of the village and noticed that only a few guards were still awake, so they decided to end this in the easiest way possible, aka using Shino's newly developed Rinkaichu that could travel long distances and absorb small amounts of chakra, usually Rinkaichu were only usable at short distances and could only be used at medium distances if enhanced by chakra, which took a lot of it.
Shino had managed to develop a new kind of Rinkaichu called long-range Rinkaichu, they did less damage than the close-range ones but the bandits would only realize their presence when it was too late.
Naruto and Sasuke basically didn't even do anything, it was all over in a few seconds, Shino commanded his Rinkaichu to invade inside the bodies of the bandits, Naruto only showed Shino who not to kill, they kept the leader of the bandits alive and the three weaker signatures who were mixed with some other signatures.
Naruto, Sasuke, and Shino walked through the camp and made sure that all the bandits were dead, they arrived at the main tent where the strongest signature was and entered rather explosively with a seal.
The bandit leader was easily a Chunin level ninja but stood no chance against even a single of the three, they quickly incapacitated him, and retrieved all the information that they could get, a bit of the Kyuubi's chakra was good encouragement for the bandit leader, the large group of bandits were simply some unfortunate homeless people that were recruited by a rogue Chunin ninja and after they tasted a bit of power they became evil and corrupted, but they were only together for a few weeks and this was their first "big" operation, which basically killed them.
Now there was only one thing left for the three of them to do and that was to go to the three remaining signatures and confirm whether they were the girls that were kidnapped from the village or someone else.
They walked to the tent and all three of their sensitive noses were attacked by a pungent smell of various human fluids, including blood and semen.
Naruto's eyes hardened and he entered the room and what he saw truly made him wish that he had tortured the bastards before they killed them.
The four girls were there but they barely resembled the pictures that they had been shown of them, they were severely disfigured, just 2 days had passed but it was visible that they had been raped and used by the bandits, one of the four was merely a newly rotting corpse discarded in a corner with one of the bandits standing over it, all of them were also naked so it was obvious what they used this tent for.
The three girls looked terrified when the three of them entered the room, each crying while hugging the other.
Naruto crouched down and placed Samehada into his inventory making himself look a lot less menacing "It's alright now, we are Chunin from Konoha, the bandits are dead, you can return home."
The three girls simply started crying even harder, Naruto simply waited until they didn't have any more tears to shed.
One of the girls turned to Naruto, and Naruto was honestly shocked by the look in her eyes.
It was completely dead.
She was not alive anymore, she was merely a husk of her former self.
"Please kill me." The girl simply said.
Naruto nodded and simply moved his hand, the girl died immediately without experiencing any further pain.
Naruto looked at the other two and they similarly nodded lifelessly.
"Thank you." One of the girls said, her voice barely a whisper.
Naruto simply ended their suffering, the three girls had no reason to live anymore, they had been used, and defiled, their maidenhood taken from them, they would forever be scarred, and no one wanted to be with girls like them, it was kinder to simply end their suffering there and then.
They burned down the bandit camp along with the bodies of the bandits and gave the four girls a proper burial with the villagers.
The families were devastated and angry with Naruto but they eventually accepted the choice of their daughter but still believed that it would have been better if they brought the girls back, but they respected the choices of their daughters.
All in all their first mission was a success and they were paid in full, they gave a detailed report to the Hokage and took a few days of rest.
