Chapter 22: Chapter 21 : Gift
Waking up from his bed, Kai changes his clothes to the one he usually wears when he is doing his morning run.
Proceeding to go outside his home, Kai does some stretching in the front yard of his home feeling that his body is already warm enough, he finally starts his daily morning run.
Even though the mission is already over, running in the morning is already becoming a habit that he does every morning.
What's the difference in the past few days since he redeem Camel Endurance is he needs to wake up more early when the sky is still dark and he needs to increase his pace more so he can get the benefits from the work out that he did.
He loves fresh air in the morning, moreover after he redeems the eagle eyes he starts to love more about his daily morning run.
Being able to see scenery around the village in a new perspective is always wonderful things to see and because it is still quite early, not many people are up yet so it's quite peaceful.
"KAIIIIII...!!!"
Hearing a loud shout from behind him, Kai knows that there is no peaceful morning anymore.
"Father is still quite early, you're gonna get a noise complaint later from the Uchiha"
Kai said to his father who's already beside him, who's started running at the same pace alongside him.
"Alright, alright"
"Are your mission already done father?"
His father promised him that his mission was gonna be done after the day of peace treaty, But It's been a few days after the peace treaty yet it was his first time seeing his father again.
Kai doesn't know what happens about the peace treaty between the two villages after the head ninja of Kumogakure was captured on Hinata's birthday.
He assumed that might be the reason that his father needed to prolong his mission.
"Don't be angry Kai, your father is gonna give you a present as an apology."
"I'm not angry, I know there's so much going on in the village lately."
And maybe because one of the reasons that his father needed to prolong his mission was because of him.
"Of course I know Kai was not gonna be angry at his awesome father, but still this is gonna be your present for being able to complete your father's task."
After saying that he sees his father disappear for a moment from his side and reappear in front of him while holding a gift box in his hand.
Stopping in front of his father, Kai looks at his father who has a smug face while holding a catchy big box in his hand.
It seems that his father always pays attention to his growth.
"Thank you father" Kai takes the gift from his father's hand and surprisingly even though the box is quite big there's little weight in it.
Even he was quite suspicious about everything that his father gave him because of the unique taste that his father has when giving a present.
"Can I open it now father?"
"Of course, it was one of the reasons that your awesome father gave it to you during your morning run."
Deciding to just open the gift, Kai sees in the bottom of the box what seems to be a bracelet made from metal with weird carving in it.
Kai looks at his father again who's still in his smug face that seemed to say he was just giving an amazing gift to his son as morning light shone all around him.
"What does it do father?"
Kai takes a metal bracelet out of the box that weighs very light, still trying to be positive about his father's gift.
"It's a legendary bracelet with mysterious fuinjutsu in it that can increase weight according to the user's wish."
"Your father gets it when helping a weird old man with red hair."
His father whispers to him with his hand in his mouth.
"Thank you for the gift father" Kai was really happy about the gift that his father gave him, since he redeemed Camel Endurance he needed to spend quite some time for him to start feeling fatigue.
"Of course for my son who successfully completed his father's task, it was gift worth giving"
"Let's celebrate it by running home on your father's back."
"Your mother might have already woken up. We need to clean the house for the new year's celebration."
"Yes father"
Kai jumps to his father's back then his father starts to run very fast in the direction of their home.
