In the pitch-black void, there was nothing but endless darkness. Time seemed to stand still, leaving Kenji in an abyss where seconds felt like eternities.
"Am I... gone? Or still kicking?" His mind raced with unanswered questions, trapped in a state where he couldn't even blink.
All he could recall was the blaring horn of a speeding truck, then nothing but this suffocating darkness.
Hokage?
Senju Clan?
Exams at the Ninja Academy?
Foreign memories flooded his consciousness, threatening to overwhelm him.
Somewhere in the void, voices murmured faintly, as if from another realm.
At the Chunin Exams venue, the crowd was entranced by illusions. High above, a purple barrier encased the area.
Sarutobi Hiruzen stared gravely at Orochimaru as the latter shed his disguise.
"Sensei, Konoha's decaying. Let me, the wind, hasten its fall," Orochimaru declared, his sinister demeanor belying a serious intent.
"Is that so? Orochimaru, let's see if your jutsu stack up to my standards," Hiruzen responded calmly.
Tension hung heavy in the air.
In an instant, Hiruzen charged at Orochimaru, hand seals forming swiftly. "Ninja Art: Tile Shuriken!" Roof tiles surged toward Orochimaru with lethal precision.
"Too easy," Orochimaru dodged effortlessly.
"Hidden Shadow Snake Hands!" Despite the name, it wasn't Orochimaru's hands that extended, but his long, serpentine tongue, wrapping around Hiruzen's neck with deadly accuracy.
"Earth Clone?" Orochimaru realized, teleporting to evade Hiruzen's surprise attack from behind.
"Earth Style: Mud Dragon Torrent!" A massive dragon made of mud and stone surged toward Orochimaru.
"Combination Jutsu: Earth Dragon Fire Style!" Fire and earth melded, a testament to Hiruzen's masterful chakra control.
But Orochimaru, with his arsenal of life-preserving techniques, remained unfazed.
"Sensei, playtime's over," Orochimaru smirked, fingers dancing through seals.
"Summoning: Impure World Reincarnation"
Hiruzen's heart sank at the sight of three black lights beneath Orochimaru. From one, a coffin labeled "First" emerged. Then, a second labeled "Second."
A sense of urgency gripped Hiruzen as a third coffin, labeled "Fourth," began to rise.
Surprised, Orochimaru muttered, "The Fourth's resurrection failed?"
"But, Sensei, what will you do about these two?" Orochimaru's query hung in the air as the lids of the two coffins crashed to the ground.
Inside, two figures emerged, shocking the anbu guards outside the barrier.
"The First Hokage! And...the Second Hokage!"
The tension in the air thickened as everyone focused on the unfolding events.
Unnoticed by the crowd, the second Hokage, Senju Tobirama, within the coffin, quietly opened his eyes.
Kenji, or rather Tobirama, scanned the surroundings discreetly, his expression a mix of surprise and anticipation.
"Did I just get reincarnated into the dead body of Senju Tobirama?!" Excitement surged through Kenji's mind at the thought.
