Delia jumped up from her sleep with a heavy breath, having the veil from her hat stick on her face by sweat.

She paused.

Her room was brightened by the early morning sun rays that rushed through the open balcony door and windows.

Delia held her chest for a moment whilst struggling to control her shivering breathes.

She then looked down at herself, realising she was still in her party dress with her hat still on.

Her brows furrowed.

Skimming her surroundings for a short moment, Delia slowly moved herself to set her feet on the floor and stand up.

"Ugh!" She fell back on the bed in pain.

Her entire body felt inflammed and battered.

She rubbed her arms and let out a hiss, gently pressing her sore muscles that only ached more. A small cry escaped her lips.
