Adele furrowed her brows as she followed Brianna's gaze but couldn't find the reason behind her sudden outburst. "What is it?" she questioned. Her blue eyes traveled through the crowd of people, "Is there someone famous?"
Adele's eyes widened as she looked at her gaping friend, "Is BTS here?"
"Better," Brianna told her, inexplicably captivated by whatever or whoever she was staring ridiculously intently at.
Adele scrunched her face, rubbing her chin as she voiced her thought, "Who's better than BTS?"
"It's Prince Elliot!" Brianna said a bit too excitedly. Only hearts were left to form in her eyes as she swooned, "He's so damn hot! And sexy! And handsome! And fucking perfect!"
"If I weren't married, I'd...I'd!"
"Drool?" Adele questioned. With a bored expression, she handed Brianna a napkin, "Because you're already doing that."
Adele's blue eyes fell on the culprit of her cousin's red face and sudden erratic behavior. 'It's the guy with the bourbon,' she thought as she stared at him. He was talking with Brianna's husband and two other guys she didn't know.
Adele agreed that Elliot looked like a god among men; he was taller and more handsome than all the other men in the room. Even the men were staring at him in awe. But he was far from her type.
'No thanks,' Adele thought as she averted her gaze.
"Wow!" Brianna exclaimed. Her cheeks were warm and red as she added, "I'm getting turned on from just looking at him!"
'Has she been drinking?' Adele thought with furrowed brows as she got up from her seat. 'I know I need to be if I'm going to survive this.'
"Where are you going?" Brianna questioned, snapping out of her trance for just a moment. "The dinner is starting soon."
"Don't worry, I'll be back soon; I'm only headed to the bathroom," Adele lied; she was actually heading to the bar.
"Adele looks so hot in that dress," Fabian, one of the guys standing with Elliot and Daniel, commented as Adele walked by them. His eyes never left her butt until she disappeared into the crowd. "She has the body of a goddess," he added.
"I'd worship those boobs," the other guy, Mateo, commented. "I feel so blessed from only seeing them in person."
"Who is she?" Elliot curiously questioned.
"She's Adele Ricci, the sexiest woman of our generation." Daniel smirked at his cousin, "I'm guessing she's caught your eyes too."
"I don't think there's any guy in this world whose eyes she hasn't caught," Mateo commented. "Every guy wants to do her."
"Even the gay dudes," Fabian interjected. "But somehow, she's still single and still a virgin."
"Which, of course, makes her so much more alluring," Mateo added.
Daniel raised his upper body slightly to throw his arm across Elliot's shoulder. "However, that doesn't mean you stand a chance with her." He lowered his voice, "She's heavily alcohol-dependent and is kind of insane with extremely high standards and ridiculous relationship demands."
Daniel cleared his throat and adjusted his tie after he withdrew his hand from Elliot's shoulder. "Or so I've heard."
The newlywedded duke was speaking from experience. He was and still is into Adele, but she turned him down after he failed to meet her high standards.
"Thanks for that," Elliot said before adding, "I guess?"
During the wedding ceremony, he found it most difficult to tear his eyes away from Adele when he saw her. He had dated many models and A-listers, but she was by far the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on.
However, he wasn't interested in her, not because of all the things Daniel told him, but strangely enough, it was because she was too stunning and ultimately wasn't his type.
Elliot is into simple women with simple lives, features, and tastes. He'd prefer a woman who he would tell that she's beautiful, and she'd blush; he's sure Adele already knows how captivatingly gorgeous she is.
He wants a woman he could ruin, a woman who would try to change him into a good person. The possessive and short-tempered guy he is, he would end up behind bars again after killing every guy who glances at Adele.
Elliot's already a bad person; a woman like Adele would drive him nuts and make him even worse.
The woman at the subject of conversation marched past the small group of men with an irritated expression. She plopped down on her seat next to Brianna, who was still swooning over Elliot.
"Why do you look so pissed?" Brianna questioned.
"Because I am!" Adele raged. "I went to the stupid bar and couldn't get a fucking drink because my mother had me banned!" She huffed as she angrily folded her arms, "Could you believe that?!"
"I can't go through this sober!" Adele complained. She rested her forehead on the table as she muttered, "This seriously sucks."
"Oh, my God. Oh my God!" Brianna exclaimed with her hand over her mouth.
Adele furrowed her brows as she raised her head, "What?"
"He's coming over here!" Brianna screeched.
"Who?" Adele questioned and intended to turn her head to have a look, but Brianna cupped her face in her hands, stopping her from doing so.
"No, don't look," Brianna told her. She took a deep breath before whispering, "He's behind you."
Brianna withdrew her hands from Adele's face as she adjusted her hair and clothing. "How do I look?"
"I don't know..." Adele trailed off with a straight face. "Married?"
Brianna pursed her lips at her friend's response, but her face was later brightened by a smile when Elliot and her husband reached them.
