Chapter 1: Prologue 1: Death Chamber
Hello, my dear readers,
Well, first of all, I would like to know what you think of the idea of this story and what you would like to see included.
I already have a good part of the story thought of, but I still have a lot of things to define.
For my part, I liked and found very interesting the idea of introducing the Neville Longbottom we all know to the past and see how he develops.
And even though I don't think there are any stories centred around Neville going back in time in the Marauder Era, I preferred to be a bit more original and have him go back in time but in a different world where most of things are similar but has some AU things.
Such as Bellatrix Black being the youngest of her family and not the oldest, Narcissa being the oldest sister, Andromeda the middle one and her being the youngest having the same age as the marauders, Lily and going to the same year as Snape.
Another thing to clarify is that Bellatrix will still have a very crazy and power-loving personality, but she won't be the evil version that we all know and that Neville knows.
I have to tell you, as soon as I came up with the idea of a Neville Longbottom, who hates the Bellatrix of his time for everything she did to him, having a marriage contract with the Bellatrix of this AU-time who has similar attitudes but isn't really evil, I got really excited and wanted to write it as soon as possible, I thought it was going to be a really fun interaction and I myself want to see how these two get along together having a marriage contract.

Prologue:
-Department of Mysteries, British Ministry of Magic, Whitehall, London
-June 18, 1996
"We need to get out of here. Luna, can you help Ginny?" said Harry Potter.
"Yes" responds Luna quickly while moving to Gini's side to help her continue walking due to the fact that she hurt her leg running.
Another door opens, and five death eaters emerge.
"There they are!" Bellatrix declared with a twisted sneer as she looked at Harry and his group.
In an instant, stunning spells and other spells rain all around them.
The group wastes no time and heads for the nearest door.
Luna is blasted off her feet by a stunning spell, she and Ginny tumble to the floor.
Harry kept running along with the rest of the group without noticing that Luna and Ginny had fallen.
The next stunning spell hits Neville in the back. He falls to the ground, Hermione rolling away from him.

-Room of the Veil, Death Chamber, Department of Mysteries
Harry and Ron stagger into the Room of the Veil.
Just as they enter, Ron is hit and falls.
Harry slips and tumbles down to the bottom of the chamber.
He comes to rest by the dais of the Veil.
Doors all around him burst open and Death Eaters enter, climbing down to surround him-from a safe distance.
Harry staggers up onto the dais, his wand held weakly in his hand. Blood trickles out of his mouth and down his chin.
Lucius Malfoy shoves his way towards Harry.
"Your race is run, Potter. Hand it over" said Lucius.
Harry glances around frantically, he looks around for his friends and when he doesn't see them he realises instantly that they have all been captured, and he was the only one who managed to avoid being captured.
"Let my friends go and I will" replied Harry.
Bellatrix and several other Death Eaters drag his friends into the chamber.
"You are not in a position to negotiate," said Lucius.
Neville struggles against the Death Eater holding him.
"Don't do it, Harry! Don't!" Neville shouted despite having the Death Eater's wand pressed against his neck.
"Stop, Neville!" Harry shouted.
Bellatrix looks at Neville.
"Huh? you..., Neville? Oh, yes, Neville Longbottom?" Bellatrix laughs in glee.
"My dear boy, I paid your parents a visit a long time ago. We had such a time!" she add.
"You put them in St. Mungos!" Neville hissed angrily and fearlessly as he glared defiantly at Bellatrix.
Bellatrix beams at him.
"So, Potter. Give us the Prophesy or I'll see how long it takes to crack Longbottom like his parents" said Bellatrix.
Harry began to despair at the situation, not knowing what to do, everything was against him, no matter what he did this situation would only get worse.
"Don't give it to them!" Neville shouted again, staring at Harry as if he wanted to tell him with his gaze that no matter what happened he must not give in to the demands of the death eaters.
Bellatrix points her wand at him.
"Crucio!" cast Bellatrix and Neville howls in pain, curling up in a ball and screaming at the top of his lungs.
Then the doors at the top of the chamber explode off their hinges.
Everything stops as Lupin, Sirius, Moody, Tonks, and Kingsley enter and start to blast spells at the Death Eaters.
Moody blasts two of the death eaters across the room before the rest notice.
Lucius Malfoy moves to attack, but Tonks disarms him.
Harry leaps off of the dais, landing next to Neville.
"Are you all right?" Harry asked anxiously.
"Yeah..., don't worry..., just let's go"
Neville and Harry begin making their way away from the fighting but a man grabs Harry from behind, his large, sweaty arm around Harry's throat.
"Give me the prophesy!" demanded the death eater.
Neville leaps upon his back and hits him in the face.
Harry elbows him in the ribs and the man falls away.
As he falls, he strikes Harry's hand by accident, and the prophesy flies from his hand.
Lucius Malfoy sees it and he raises his wand but Sirius leaps into him.
Both men fall the rest of the way to the lowest level of the room, landing hard.
The prophesy bounces off of a step, flips down to the next level, and shatters against the stone.
A ghostly version of Professor Trelawney appears over the shattered golden orb, speaks something which cannot be heard over the fight, and dissolves away.
Harry and Neville seem frozen, staring at the broken pieces of the orb.
Sirius gets to his feet and sprints to Harry and Neville.
"Get out of here, you two!" said Sirius and pointed at one of the doors.
"That will take you back out of the Department of Mysteries" he adds and then he makes to go back to the fight but Harry grabs his hand.
"You come with us!" Harry said.
Sirius shakes his head.
"You're the important one, now, Harry. I have to help the Order"
Slowly, Harry lets go of Sirius's robe sleeve. and he looks into his Godfather's eyes.
"I'll always be here for you, Harry. Now go!" Sirius pushes Harry away from him towards the door.
A spell rockets past Sirius's head.
Bellatrix leaps down in front of Sirius.
She smiles and Sirius grins.
"Hello, cousin!" said Sirius and he fires a spell at her.
She dodges, leaping down to the dais on which the Veil sits. Sirius leaps after. Their wands clash, blinding lights exploding from the tips.
Harry and Neville climb towards the door.
"Potter!" said Lucius.
They whirl around to find Lucius only feet away, holding his wand out at them.
"We may have lost the prophesy, but I can still deliver you to the Dark Lord!" Lucius said and he waves his wand.
"Stupify!" Malfoy cast two spells in rapid succession at the two young men.
Harry and Neville raise their own.
"Protego!" both said quickly.
Malfoy's spell bounces away from Harry and Neville.
Suddenly Sirius apparate in front of them, he immediately disarms Lucius and then sends him blasting away with another spell.
"Are you two alright?"
Before they could answer anything two more Death Eaters appear and try to attack them, but Sirius grabs both of them by the arm and quickly apparate in front of the Vail where he was before.

Once the three of them apparate in front of the Vail, they stop to look for a moment around them at the current situation.
And it was chaos.
Yes, pure and simple chaos.
Spells were flying in all directions, and screams of rage or pain were the only things to be heard in this nightmare.
After a while, the death eaters from before apparate in front of the three of them, but this time Neville and Harry didn't run away with Sirus, instead they decided to confront them with him.
Sirius, seeing that they seemed to be able to fight the situation, decided to let them participate in the confrontation, besides, the Order needed some help, there were too many death eaters for just them.
...
After several moments of constant confrontation between death eaters and members of the Order.
Sirius in the middle of his fighting was keeping an eye on Harry and his friend in case he needed to jump in.
He saw that Harry and Neville were doing everything in their power to overwhelm the death eaters they were facing.
So far Harry was performing remarkably well, and he wasn't the only one.
Neville with his recently acquired confidence was casting spell after spell with perfect accuracy.
Of course, unlike the two of them, the members of the Order of the Phoenix were pushing the death eaters to their limits.
Six or seven Death Eaters were disarmed and tied up, Remus and Tonks were now facing Rodolphus Lestrange and Lucius Malfoy who somehow recovered from his duel with Sirius.
And Moody was handling three death eaters by himself.
Sirius finally defeated the last death eater that faced him and shortly after with a well-placed Stupefy, Harry also finished his fight and the death eater fell to the stone floor.
Sirius watched his godson who didn't waste any time and quickly broke his opponent's wand in half and turned to him with a smile that Sirius returned with a huge proud smile on his face.
Then suddenly Bellatrix appears and she fires a spell at Sirius.
Sirius ducks under it, laughing.
"Is that the best you've got, cousin?" Sirius asked Bellatrix laughing as the two began to cast spell after spell.
Harry, on the other hand, went to help Neville to finish defeating the death eater he was facing.
When Neville and Harry finally defeated him they looked at Sirius and his duel with Bellatrix.
Both were quite impressed, especially Neville who hated Bellatrix for what she did to his parents.
Sirius was playing with Bellatrix. It looked like he was playing with a child, mocking and insulting his cousin.
And it was undeniable that he was doing a very good job provoking her.
Bellatrix's anger overwhelmed her, she began to cast more lethal spells at Sirius.
Harry and Neville decided to break the wands of the defeated death eaters to quickly help Sirius even though he didn't seem to need any help.
Once the two had finished doing this they went to Sirius.
He was still mocking Bellatrix as the two of them cast spell after spell, it seemed like a complete game to him.
"Come on cousin, this is getting boring," Sirius joked as he easily took care of another of Bellatrix's spells.
Then he doesn't even see it coming. He's barely finished his sentence when a second spell was a second away from hitting him in the chest.
It was then that Harry's heart jumped a beat watching the duel, he hadn't expected this to happen, Sirius was about to be hit by Bellatrix's curse and he just didn't have time to move or do anything to stop it.
To Harry it was as if time itself stood still and he was watching it all happen in slow motion. The look of surprise on his godfather's face, the smirk on Bellatrix's face at Sirius's imminent death...
'I have to do something, I have to save Sirius! I can't lose another member of my family in this bloody war! I have to do something!' Harry said to himself running with all his willpower, he wanted his body to run and catch up with his godfather before his imminent death, but he knew that wouldn't happen, it was too late for even Sirius to do anything.
But Bellatrix, Sirius, as well as Harry, had forgotten one person.
