Chapter 2: 2. He sings for me
When I wake up my eye is healed and I'm in a strange place. I'm laying down, looking up at a plain white ceiling. Someone is watching over me. I try to sit up, they try to push me down with inhuman strength. Im weak and they succeed. It's the boy.
"Whats your name?" I ask.
"Eric, Eric Black." He says.
"Your a wolf?" I ask.
Of course he's a wolf. "Yea. But it's ok. We were happy to allow you to stay at my house." He responds, his voice calm.
"Isn't your older brother Jacob Black?" I ask.
"Yea. Because of him being friends with Bella you were allowed to stay here. He didn't want to rip you to shreds since it would hurt Bella." He says.
"Perfectly reasonable. I don't want to be ripped to shreds either." I say.
"Your not a normal vampire. Your eyes.. their not red. Not like the Golden colour of the Cullens either. It's aqua. They move really fast behind your eyelids when you have nightmares. You need food and sleep, which is strange, since vampires are undead. You guys shouldn't feel pain, pass out, sleep, or eat normal food. But you do." He observes.
"I've wondered that since I was changed." I say.
"What happened to make Carlisle save you?" He asks.
"I was stabbed and bleeding out. 39 times with a sword. Each time going through my chest and stomach like water.... I was twelve.. what could a twelve year old do to a man to make that happen?" I ask.
"That's horrible! If it helps I'm only 15. So just because I imprinted on you, age wouldn't matter. Oh! I'm sorry. I didn't-"
"Your my singer. I can't drink blood so your safe. But I'll love you forever if you let me.." I say. He kisses my forehead, his body coming into view.
He's shirtless and when I blush- how do I blush??- he laughs. "I doubt your a full vampire. Not a clue how your not a vampire but you aren't." He says.
That's when everything goes black again.
When I wake up I'm in my room. I see the familiar light grey walls, the white roof. The faint Spotify playlist that I've put on constant replay. Eric is gone. But my older brother Edward is there. "Hey Ed." I say.
"Athena your new boyfriend is in the living room. Don't freak out but Carlisle is talking to him." Edward says.
Dad is gonna scare him away. DAD!" I yell, trying to get up but Edward stops me.
"Not until we figure out what's wrong. No getting out of bed." He says.
"DAD! CARLISLE! EDWARD WONT LET ME OUT OF BED!" I yell.
"IM COMING!" Carlisle calls up the stairs, then, he is here.
"He won't let me get up. There was a contact burning out my eye. I don't like it." I explain.
