Chapter 8: Found

6 hours later
Creed's POV
"I think we're getting close." said Apollo
I examined the floor and I was starting to get even more anxious.
"There's no way..."
"What is it Creed?" asked Josiah
"There's more than one human, more than 10 at most who were here." I said
"How?" asked Josiah
"Look, foot prints are different, the size of certain foot prints are different. There are multiple different kinds of footprints like as if they have multiple different shoes." I said, "This hasn't been 2 hours long."
"Creed take a look at this." said Tory
She pointed at a pile of bones. I picked some up and they still had some meat left on it.
"They were definitely eating 2 hours ago." said Creed, "Let's not waste any more time, let's go."
We left the building and out into a city that was on the map. The city looked different from City Ruins, this one looked more demolished, the ones in City Ruins looked more like they stood there for ages, these looked like they stood there for ages but most of it were destroyed. Vegetation took over it entirely, vines, moss even trees grew off the fucking buildings.
"Once we pass this city, we won't know where to go." said Ethan
"We're about a 3 and a half day trip from the resistance, and that means I'm about a week or a bit more away from my home." I sighed
We just kept running and about 1 hour and 30 minutes later we ended up looking down at a huge valley.
"Creed, ropes." said Ella
She pointed to our left and there were ropes tied to a tree that led to the bottom of the valley. I examined the ropes and they were new.
"They must have gone down for a reason but I think they might come back up here." I said
"What should we do?" asked Josiah
"Ethan, Apollo, Ken, Havoc and Evan stay here. Josiah, George, Ella, Koi and Tory with me." I said
My group took the ropes and we started descending down the valley, the valley was about 30 feet apart with a small stream about 5 feet wide. I checked the pebbles around the river and noticed that they went to our right.
"Move it." I said
We ran and ran for who knows how long, probably about 20 minutes.
"Are you sure this is the right way?" asked Josiah
"Creed, I'm getting tired, my short legs can't keep up anymore." complained Ella
I looked around and then I saw something hanging on a small rock. I approached it and it was a towel that was still wet.
"Towel, water." I whispered to myself
The stream wasn't moving so I quickly drank some of the water but I immediately spit it right back out.
"Fuck, soap water. Where the fuck did they get soap?" I questioned
"What's soap?" asked Koi
"Something. Nothing important." I replied
We kept running for about 1 minute but then the valley started to curve to the left and once we started to turn the curve we saw a whole group of humans. They were doing their business and once they saw us they all froze, some of them drew their guns at us.
"Hey! Hey! Drop it, we're on your side." I yelled
"Oh thank god, people who are not in the military." sighed one of the humans
There were at least 15 humans there both male and female.
"Wait he's SAS." said another man
"Bloody hell you're Sergeant George Walker." called out a woman
"I remember you, you were in Alpha company 2nd platoon 2nd squad." said George
"Who's your commanding officer here?" I asked
"Me I am. I'm Captain Tristian Gonzalez." said a man around is late 30s with a beard.
"Look, how much do you know?" I asked
"About the war? Nothing our comms aren't working-"
"No no no." I sighed
I looked at George and he seemed worried.
"Have you bumped into any machine?" I asked
"No? Machines, now our enemy uses machines?" asked a man
The group was chattering and I just didn't know what to do, I found what I was looking for which I'm grateful but how am I going to explain.
"When did you wake up?" asked Tristian
"Almost 3 years ago." I said
"Holy shit, we all just woke up no later than a month." said Tristian, "You must know about the war then."
I was a bit uneasy but we didn't have much time to spare.
"The war is over." I said
The group started laughing and cheering.
"That's awesome, who won?" asked Tristian
I started to get worried.
"I don't know." I replied
"What do you mean you don't know?" asked Tristian
"Sir, umm what year do you think it is right now?" asked George
"Around 2100s I don't know but who won?" asked Tristian with a smile
Ella, Koi and Josiah both looked around worried about the outcome.
"Sir, you've been asleep for centuries." I replied
Tristian's smile disappeared, the chattering in the group died down and everyone's eyes were now on us.
"It's 11948 AD." I replied
Some of the humans began dropping what they were holding and collapsed onto the ground while others started shaking their heads in denial.
"And these three aren't human." I said as I pointed to the androids in our group, "They're androids."
"Stop lying." said Tristian, "Tell me the truth, that's an order."
"I have no reason to lie to you sir." I replied
"Even with a gun pointed at your head?"
He drew his pistol cocked it and aimed it at my head. Ella aimed an arrow at him, Koi and Tory had their guns out, while Josiah had his hand on his sword but George looked worried.
"Yes sir, even with a gun to my head." I replied
He looked tempted to shoot me and the atmosphere was getting heavy. The group of humans looked ready to fight, and my group looked ready to shoot Tristian.
"I know sir, you're feeling sad but please lower your gun. We have to get going." I said
"Go where?" he asked
"To save our only hope sir." I replied
"Sir, Creed over here has spent two years searching for humans." said George, "He's the only one, who knows how to get back home."
"Home, after being asleep for centuries you're telling me we should go home?!" he yelled
"Sir, you're confused and frustrated right now please calm-"
I was interrupted with the sound of a hawk cawing in the air. I looked up and saw my hawk coming towards me, so I stuck my arm out and it landed on it.
"What the fuck is that?" asked Tristian who was still aiming his gun at me.
I ignored him because the only thing I cared about was 2B and the others back at home and my son.
"I'll try to hold on as long as I can, but please just don't worry too much. We came up with a plan so don't worry about us, take care of yourself. I love you, from 2B."
"Let's go." I said
"Hey where do you think you're going?" asked Tristian
"Right now, if I don't head back everyone I love will die and there will be no future in this god forsaken world." I snapped, "Either follow me or stay here that's your choice."
Tristian started to look worried so he lowered his gun. I pulled out a piece of paper and quickly wrote that I found a whole group of humans and that I'm coming back right now.
"I'm sorry I'm just a bit shocked. I don't have a family to go to, but some of them do." said Tristian
"I understand but we have to get going. It takes a week to get to where I live." I said
"But you've been searching for 2 years." said Tristian
"I went to the west and I ended up on the west coast of Japan." I said
Tristian nodded and headed back towards his group to get ready.
"These men and women look terrible." said Ella
"They're suffering because of this." I said, "Koi, go back and get the others ready."
Koi nodded and left so we waited for about 5 minutes until everyone was geared up. I looked around and not a single one of them was from the USA.
"Let's go." I said

1 day later
2B's POV
'I wonder how things are going for you Creed.'
"2B." called out Avery
I turned around and Avery was standing there looking worried as she leaned against the edge.
"Do you think we can hold?" I asked
"To be honest, if they send it in waves we have a better chance but if they don't than it'll be a lot more difficult." I replied
Avery sighed and rubbed her eyes.
"I'm really worried about Creed." I said
"Who isn't." sighed Avery
"Do you think he'll come back home? Even if he does, do you think we'll be here when he comes back?" I asked
Avery grabs my shoulder and shakes me.
"2B don't be so negative right now, if you're negative the whole Resistance's dedication will lower and there will be no stand or battle it'll just be a massacre." said Avery
I nodded and Avery held my hands.
"If you're scared, how am I supposed to feel?" asked Avery
"I'm sorry." I apologized
"It's fine, I'm just worried." said Avery
She hugged me which caught me by surprise but I hugged her back.
"I'm, scared." said Avery
"It'll be fine." I replied, "I have your back."
"And I have yours." replied Avery
She backed away and looked down.
"Avery!" yelled 8B
I looked over and they were carrying some kind of pipe with some kind of metal sticks on it with a box.
"Oh you got it." said Avery
"What is that?" I asked
"It's called a mortar, it's a bombing weapon. I'll show you." said Avery
She aims the mortar into the sky and starts fixing the sticks and aims it deep into the Forest Kingdom.
"There's no android stationed there right?" asked Avery
"No one's there." replied 8B
She took out something from the box that looked strange to me and she put it in and it blasted away into the air. About a second later there was an explosion in the forest indicating that it hit.
"There, this would increase our chances of surviving." said Avery
I nodded in acknowledgment and left as Avery gathered some Resistance fighters and began teaching them.
"Pod, how much longer till the machine army?" I asked
"Approximately 4-5 days." replied my Pod
"I'm going to need you a lot more than usual Pod, do you think you can do that for me?" I asked
"I'm always at your service." replied my Pod
I patted my Pod and he seemed to sound happy.
"2B! 2B!" yelled a voice
Avery and I looked over and Nines was running towards us with a piece of paper in his hand.
"It's Creed, he's coming back home!" yelled Nines
I gasped and stood there motionless as Nines approached me.
"He found a whole group of humans at least 15 of them and he said he's coming back!" excitedly yelled Nines
He handed me the note and I read it.
"I found a group of humans, at least 15 of them. I'm coming back home so please, stay alive 2B."
I felt like crying but I held in my tears and smiled as my heart fluttered in my chest.
"He's coming back, he finally found humans." I said
Avery started crying because she was so happy and hugged me. 8B, 64B and 22B were smiling and sighing in relief.
"Does Anemone know?" I asked
"No we should go tell her right now." said Nines
I nodded and we jogged towards Anemone who was with 4S and A2.
"Anemone! Creed's coming back home!" yelled Nines
Anemone dropped a box she was holding onto, A2's eyes widened and 4S looked happy and excited.
"He found a group of humans, he's coming back home with them and the other android survivors." I excitedly said
A2 and 4S hugged me and Nines and Anemone joined.
"He's finally coming home." said A2
"Yes, finally I can see him." I smiled
