Chapter 12: Atlast, came the big day
I groggily opened my eyes as my alarm was going off beside me. I shifted to the side and switched off the alarm clock, which read 5:47 AM. I sat up and looked towards the still dark say outside the window.
' At last, came the day.'
This one thought knocked all my drowsiness away. I couldn't help but feel excited for today. But before I get to that excited part, I have to complete my morning ritual.
"Mornin Sia."
"Morning host. Ready for the big day?"
"Yeah. More than ready. But first, let's complete our morning ritual."
"Yes host", and I began to walk towards the entrance of the [MIRROR DIMENSION]. And when I passed through it, I was in a place, to be honest, which I don't mind remembering. Since the day I went into the [MIRROR DIMENSION] for the first time, I've completed 13 more levels. I started using my [SHARINGAN] and other sword skills from level 4. The monsters got weirder in shapes and powers as I progressed forward.
Then Noir spoke up, "Partner, shall we get to it?"
"Yeah, let's do it."
One of the main reasons I risked going into the dungeon even though it's an important day is that today is the day I plan to learn Noir's skills. Yes, I know what you are thinking, "WTF were you doing since the last 10 days?" Well, I tried to do it in level 7, but it kinda failed. Failed in the sense, I wasn't strong enough to materialize any kind of power with my capabilities of that time. Yes, you heard right , I wasn't strong enough. It was when I asked Noir to teach me basic attacks, and he made me learn the first of his abilities, [DARK CLOAKED SHOT].
He told me to concentrate the power on my gauntlet hand, but nothing happened. I tried it again and again, till I lost it. And yeah, Noir himself was confused why and after a long hour of searching where it went wrong, he came to this conclusion, that I was not strong enough.
Surprisingly, that didn't hinder me at all, and I kept on training my ass off every day since then. Well, I was taunted a lot in my school days, so maybe this wasn't such a big matter. And here I am now, ready for learning my first skill from Noir.
"Ok partner, now do what you did last time. I think you figured it out already, so the power must materialize."
I nodded my head summoned my gauntlet. And by the way, I'm glad I don't have to shout any cringy words to bring my gauntlet out, that was my last of 'to have or do things,
I opened my palm and started to concentrate my power. I figured out the key while I was thinking what to do after a couple of days I failed to materialize Noir's attack. I started to feel something on my palm, and I could see a black and red medium-sized orb kinda thing spinning fastly and also steadily growing in size.
Noir exclaimed, "Yes partner, you got it! Now, once it fills your palm, release it."
"So that's how it was", I muttered.
Yes, the key was to have an extreme focus on the attack. I figured that out because even when I tried to talk to Noir for the first time or materialize the gauntlet, my complete focus was on those particular tasks. In other sense, 'to go into the void'.
The black and red orb thingy now is as big as my palm, and then I pointed my hand towards an empty building and released it.
BOOM! CRASH! BOOM!
Those were the only sounds I could hear for a few seconds. I could not see the damage for a few seconds clearly because of the cement particles in the air. And after the dusty air cleared away, I looked at the damaged spot and….. couldn't help but mutter, "Holy shit".
The lower half of the building is gone along with the 2 more buildings behind it.
"Well, this is how [DARK CLOAKED SHOT] works, alright. Gotta say you figured out the trick way faster."
"Yeah, than you as well", I let out a laugh while saying that.
Noir groaned in defeat at those words. Why is that? Because he had no idea of how to give a tip while I was racking my brains on how to make this attack a success.
"Don't blame me! I never had anyone to teach or give tips to during my entire life, so how can I do one now!", he said while I taunted him.
Then Sia spoke up,
"Host, first, congrats on making this attack a success."
"Thank you Sia. And what's second or whatever that comes after?"
"Well, I would advise you to have a look at the notification screen."
"Okayyy?"
I opened my notification screen and as soon as I saw the content on it, me eyes widened.
" 1 Gaulghar dead."
" 1 Gaulghar dead."
" 1 Gaulghar dead."
" 1 Zenkok dead."
" 1 Zenkok dead."

"Damn!"
I mean, that was the only thing I could speak. I didn't come in with the intention to go further into the dungeon, I just came to practice my new attack which I thought would take hours, but was done in a short time. And at the bottom, a different notification was there which made my smile grow wider.
" LEVEL UP: 41. CONGRATULATIONS."
Sheesh man, things are looking good at the moment. And if anyone has the doubt that why I didn't level up during the first visit of my dungeon, well that's because the monsters I faced were too low to give me some significant XP to level up. It wasn't until I defeated the 4th level boss that I started to level up. Currently, I was in level 33 or somewhere near that. Well, I was level 20 when I came in so it kinda makes sense that I couldn't level up then.
"Partner, I suppose you don't have any plans to go further into the city right?"
"Yes, I don't want to waste my time here on this big day."
"Well, then c'mon let's get outta here. It wont be surprising if hordes of those thingys come in this direction. Those are aint a problem but it will take a lot of time for you to clear those."
"Yeah, you're right. C'mon lets go."
TIMESKIP AFTER A LONGASS BATH AND PUTTING ON THE UNIFORM:
Currently, I am looking myself in the mirror, and damn man, even though I had a look yesterday, I can't help but praise myself again. I mean, I am not a narcissist but I can't help it because I never looked this good in my previous life.
"Sigh.. host, why do I feel you are praising yourself for the past 10 minutes?"
"Can't help it Sia, that's how mesmerized by my appearance at the moment. It's like seeing a whole new me you know."
"So in short, you are a narcissist."
"NO! I – ",
"Haruu-kunn.. breakfast is ready…."
I was suddenly cut off when I heard my mom calling me downstairs. And why did it sound kinda….. weird?
"There you go partner, the part I was waiting for", Noir says with a laugh. Shit, I don't know why but I'm feeling anxious.
I opened the door and made my way downstairs….. slowly. I peeked slowly to the dining table and I could see my father with an expression, ' You're fucked but damn kid you look awesome'. I didn't get him at first but then a suddenly I was enveloped in a tight hug from my blindside.
'Shit, I let my guard down!'
It was my mom and she was hugging me so tightly and resembled a Koala.
"Haru Kun don't go to school please please please !!!!"
I was dumbfounded, " HAAA! What do you mean kaa san?! Why shouldn't I ??!"
My mom replied, " I mean look at you!!! You look so cool and handsome right now that I fear some thieving cat will come and capture you. After all you took over your father's girl weakness trait.!!," said my mom with this >_< expression.
MAJI?? And wait, my dad had a weakness to women? And why is your face kinda red oyaji???!!
My mom spoke up again, " So, you're not gonna go to school, socialize or go outside again okay? I can do all of that okay? So, cmon strip those clothes!
"Wait wait wait!!!! First of all, that phrasing is wrong!! Second, how am I gonna live without going out or socialzing? And finally, I succumb to a women's seduction alright(lol)? Please mom let me go to school."
My mom made a face as she was asked to choose a life or death matter for a couple of seconds and then spoke up of seconds later," OK Haru Kun…. I'll believe you because of you said you won't succumb to any women okay? But if you break that word...", her eyes lost all the light at that moment, "Kaa san will be angry…."
I gulped at her expression. Goddamn it , I got a yandere mom. Thank god( who isn't here in this universe) that she was convinced by my words, which are abslfuckingluetly lies.
I sat down at the dining table after the commotion and began to have breakfast. Mom and dad talked about how to be careful in school and as always, mom and dad began to quarrel on how I should behave with girls and everything. I looked at them and a smile formed on my face. There could be a worldwide crisis going on and these people will still bicker like this when it comes to me. And yeah, I love them as well.
And like that we talked a bit more, and when I looked at the time, it was almost up. I got up and took my backpack. I put on my shoes and everything, and when everything was done I looked at my parents. They had a mixed expression on their faces, both worried and happy I guess.
"Don't look like that you guys, I'll be on my guard", I left the house with the most assuring words they would've wanted to hear. Well, that's how fucked up my childhood used to be for those to be the most assuring words I can give to my parents.
The school is like a 15 min walk away and I'll be there in no time. And as I went further towards the school, the more the students of my school appeared. Wait, how do Rias and Co commute to school? I never saw them going to their house and I don't even know where they used to live before moving in with Issei. Did they magic circled to the school or something? And as I was thinking about various theories and probable answers, I could see my school entrance.
"Hmmm…..if I'm correct, Sitri and Shinra must be near the gate to welcome new students. Sigh…. To this day I don't understand why only the student council president and Vice president must be standing near the gate only to welcome students? I mean, isn't it funny that no other ordinary student council member was there with the two most important members of the council to welcome students? And as my brain tried to decode that strange and irrelevant mystery, I neared the gate.
I took a deep breath to condense my excitement while seeing the school and the students. And as I shifted my gaze towards my right which made my eyes widen.
'Jeez calm down.'
A slim-figured and black hair bob-cut woman with purple spectacles.
Sona Sitri

And as I was making my way to her, my eyes widened. Again, but this time in a different manner
Fierce-looking eyes, and perfect body structure. The atmosphere around her was as cold as ice but that was what drawing the attention of others, with the help of Sona.
I sighed and laughed inwards, ' What happened to ' No contact with those guys' huh?
I was looking at my once childhood friend and now 'I don't know what but definitely not good' girl.
