Chapter 2: Mother
Some things are clear: I need to improve my stats and get a magical class. I know some basic methods to build-up certain stats from another life. As for classes, Wizard and Sorcerer require inborn aptitude, so my options Cleric, Bard, Druid - I lean towards Cleric but have to consider them all.
At that point, the rooster has cried for the 3rd time, which means it's time to wash up and help with a breakfast ... and ask her for a haircut, can't forget that. By the time I came to the kitchen, Olga (my new mother) was already busy with a breakfast, so I greeted her and started with Natasha's usual tasks.
"So how do you feel being 13, honey?" mom asked with a small smile.
"Feels like I need a new haircut, new best friend, adventurer class and a world at my feet."
"Oh, Tasha, what happened?!!" she turned to me in alarm.
"The usual, when the girl and the boy like each-other, her best friend gets jealous and things fall apart."
"But your hair, it's just unforgivable!" alarm turning to rage.
"I'm 13 already, time to learn how to deal with 'unforgivable' myself." In these lands, 13 is legally adult: can sign contracts, inherit, marry. Mother married at 14.
"Huh, yes, you are correct but do you have a plan?" she turned back to cooking, cooling a bit.
"Thinking about it, some rumor would be nice, what if we were secret lovers."
"It would be mutual destruction!"
"I'll become an adventurer, like grandpa was and she can go to hell."
"You know what 'adventurer woman' means - our entire family will be shamed. The thing between girls can be passed as a game, but there is no coming back for adventurer."
"Mom, I was serious about finding a friend and having the world at my feet."
"Please don't rush it, think about it, talk with Roman Sergeevich and the rest of the family."
"We talk at breakfast, then I want a short haircut and see about that rumor."
"Breakfast, talk, haircut - you are 13 indeed," replied Olga with a pained smile.
