Chapter 78: Sports Festival: Reactions
As Kaga walked off the stage and headed to her own waiting room only to find Himiko waiting there too, the audience within the stadium and people watching were going nuts!
A few people voiced their concerns that Kaga's actions were excessive, however, they were drowned out by the people that were saved by Kaga.
Some were even calling for Bakugo's expulsion from the school since he was showing behaviors of a villain with how he acts and the way he has no regard for his surroundings.
Even if people had different thoughts about what just happened, they all had one thought in common, 'We need better Heroes!', is what they thought.
Ever since Kaga's outburst during the Slug Incident, people and a certain Hero Killer have been videoing Heroes of their incompetency and posting it on HeroTube.
This wasn't anything big, however, it snowballed to the point where people are already noticing that not a lot of Heroes are truly competent.
The HPSC that usually handles the image of Heroes couldn't do anything about Kaga since her backing is just too massive to dismiss and ignore, they can only put out the fires that Kaga left...but they can't remove the source.
[CLASS 1-A]
"Talk about a beat down *whistle*", Kaminari commented as he observed how Bakugo was being taken away to the infirmary.
"His soul is darkening...he might stray from the light", Fumikage commented on the side with his casual remarks.
"Kaga may have been excessive but her comments about Bakugo's character is not without weight, Bakugo shows villain tendencies...but we just shrug it off as his attitude...however, he just proved it today", Momo said after analyzing her interactions with Bakugo since her first day in U.A.
"W-Wait! Kacchan isn't l-like this! His determination to become a hero is strong!", the 'boyfriend' of Bakugo comes to the save...Mr. Brocolli
"But didn't you hear what Asakura-san just said? Some people are prioritizing Fame and Glory before their job as a Hero, and didn't Bakugo keep screaming in class that he'll be the richest Hero there is?", Sero came in with a jab, super effective!
Midoriya couldn't even come up with an excuse, all of his classmates were coming up with logical reasons while all he has to offer were emotional reasons.
"And don't forget, he has a passion for calling other people names!", Inas added on the side...though probably he was just petty when Bakugo called him Windy.
"He doesn't even remember or know my name at all...and he even calls you Deku or Nerd...I don't know if you have a fetish for that but it's weird to hear, I guess?", the last to land the blow was Uraraka...she just came back after crying somewhere for not being able to make it far into the Sports Festival.
Midoriya didn't even know what to say after he heard all of his classmate's comments, he couldn't blame their opinions since they only stated what they saw and experienced personally.
"Man, I know you're friends with Bakugo for probably years seeing how you interact with him, however, we have only met him for less than a month and he has told each and every one of us to die at least once since the first day of school", Kirishima said after seeing Midoriya's conflicted look.
"*sigh*...I'll visit Kacchan, I guess", Midoriya decided to just leave since it was getting awkward for him, no one even wanted to tag along with him since they didn't want to see a grumbling Bakugo of how he'll win next time.
[VIP Section]
"Principal Nezu, you know if my daughter didn't erect that ice wall right behind her, you would have multiple dead and injured people on your hands", Ryu said as he observes his daughter leave the stage.
Nezu could only sigh in relief and disappointment for his lack of insight, "Indeed, that is true, I'm disappointed at my lack of insight regarding this matter. I should have erected the protective glass sooner"
Ryu only nodded since everyone makes mistakes, "What are you going to do with the student?"
Nezu was sent to ponder, "Anger management classes is a must, and we would most probably send someone to monitor him on a daily basis. We can't have him turn villain, if he does, then he'll be in jail almost immediately"
"We can only hope that he doesn't turn into a villain then, by the way, how's Toshinori's successor?", what Ryu asked shocked Nezu since he didn't expect Ryu to know about it, however, he didn't let it show on his face.
"*Cough* How did you know about it?"
"Not much...Toshinori's file stated him being quirkless before...and all of a sudden, this quirkless kid just happens to have his quirk suddenly awaken too...super strength at that. Worst of all, he tends to scream out All Might's moves from time to time"
Now that Nezu thought about it, it is quite easy to connect the dots as long as you know where to look the dots for...the dead giveaway is Toshinori's successor who hangs around him and also screams out "Smash" even if it's rare.
"Well, I can only hope that you keep this secret to yourself then, I wouldn't want countries sending in fake villains only to try and steal this power", Nezu said as he looked towards Ryu.
"Then we'll send in fake villains too, isn't this how countries go to war nowadays? All these nonsensical ideals of being a Hero...I didn't want my daughter to be a Hero at first.
I was scared that she'll catch dumb morals of sacrificing herself for a bunch of unknown people, but it turns out I didn't have to worry.
And it seems Toshinori's successor has those dumb morals that I was afraid of, even worse actually. He seems to be the type that will duke it out in a city causing thousands of deaths...only to throw the villain to jail, and sacrifice himself to save one when he can save more in the future."
"Oh well, we'll see how they grow then", was all Nezu said before they watched the fight between Midoriya and Shiozaki.
The fight between Midoriya and Shiozaki was dumb to watch...Ibara apparently just stood there and went into a praying motion, hoping that her vines will catch Midoriya.
And as expected, Midroya simply kicked her right in the face to quickly end the match.

The Television screen turned on and immediately spoke, "Tomura, you should try and recruit that kid, he might be a useful ally to have. That fox brat is unknowingly helping us to push that kid onto the path to become a villain"
If anyone could see All For One's current face, you could see him smiling with glee, probably thinking that he can recruit an ally for his successor.
"Very well, Sensei, by the way...what will we do with those royal brats? They seem to have strong quirks for the taking"
All For One thought for a second before he spoke,
"We shouldn't poke the Asakura Family, they haven't minded us and we haven't minded them, we villains create Chaos...and the Asakura Family reaps from that Chaos by medical technology, construction, and Hero Support Gears.
We never spoke...but think of it as a symbiotic relationship, and don't bother those two friends of hers, their quirks aren't much...they simply trained it to that level...nothing spectacular"
Tomura only nodded and understood what his Sensei was trying to teach him...no need for added attention, "Then what is our plan? I can't just sit here and drink the alcohol", he annoyingly said.
"Your personal Nomu is coming, the Doctor managed to duplicate the warp quirk that I have, although...your new Nomu would be rather slimy, however, only move once you have gotten the Nomu"
As All For One said this, the television quickly turned black, ever since Kurogiri disappeared he couldn't get out of the bar, especially when his general outlook was plastered on the news with his hands and everything.
"I'll get him to attack U.A. again! From what Sensei has hinted before...the HPSC is hiding something...a better trigger that helped heroes improve their quirks! Endeavor with blue flames and All Might one-shotting my Nomu!"
"I'll surprise the two of them...haha...hahah...hahahaha!", a mad cackle resounded within the bar but he was forced to stop when a ring was heard outside his door.
*Ding*
*Dong*
"Next chapter delivery!"
"Tsk! I have to wait again"
