Chapter 28: Chapter 28
Third P.O.V.
"They're here they're here!" Members of the Nix pack called as their new trainers arrived.
Devon had immediately jumped off of his chair and rushed down to greet their new trainers. But that wasn't the reason why he was rushing; it was because a nostalgic and sweet scent had tingled his nose.
'Could she be?' he thought as the light that was once lost had returned in his eyes. 'No it's not possible, but?!'
Meanwhile Kristie had stopped doing the laundry to greet these wolves who could help and get them out of this mess. She had only wished for the best but the world isn't so kind.
"Were here Skye." A deep and resounding voice came from the man who had just come out of the car parked at the Nix pack's front yard.
"I know Cade; you don't need to tell me." All eyes turned to the beautiful and strong looking woman who had followed out the car.
"Now then come on, we need to greet the alpha." Cade spoke.
"I know, I know." Skye replied.
Then coming from the other car that had also just arrived, three people came out and had a little chat with Cade.
When Devon had reached the front yard, he was shocked at the same time mesmerized at the beauty that was in front of him. Almost making him forget what she... no they were here for.
"I suppose you are Alpha Devon?" Cade spoke, bringing Devon out of his dream-like state.
{Devon} "Huh? Ah yes. And I believe that you are Beta Cade. Correct?"
{Cade} "That is correct and these are my companions. Starting from our warriors, they are Ben, Ivy, Patrick, and my mate Skye."
A growl threatened to escape from Devon when he said mate. But he did not know why, she was not even Rose but.... she seemed so much like her.
{Devon} "S-sure. Ill led you to your rooms. Please follow after me."
"Ah, no, please let me do it!" their heads turned to a bright blond chick who had just come out of the house."
{Devon} "Ah yes. This is the Nix pack's Luna, Kristie."
{Kristie} "Ah hello, nice you meet you. I'll do my best to make your stay here comfortable. So please follow me. Oh right! Let me help you with your luggage."
Cade's eyes formed into a glare as he knew all about this 'Kristie'. Disappointment and anger for Devon had also flashed through his eyes before he calmed down not a second later.
{Cade} "No need, our warriors are capable of helping themselves."
{Kristie} "Ah no I insist-!"
{Skye} with a voice coated with malice and venom "Didn't you hear what he said? We don't need your help. And just to clarify things we are here to help you."
Kristie's eyes widened at the sudden killer intend but managed to keep composed.
{Kristie} "Ah yes. I'm sorry. I will just lead you to your rooms then." she apologized while bowing, then waited their new trainers to get their things which weren't much.

How dare her!!! No, how dare them! I knew Devon was a full blown jock but I did not expect for him to make her his Luna!?! If this continues, then there really is no more hope for this pack. And how dare she try to suck up to Cade. If she dares to put her nasty claws on him then I will surely rip her throat out.
What's worse is. I don't even think Devon realized it's me. Well it's good and bad but... I know he long since rejected me but... it still hurts. It hurts so badly.
Cade nudged me on my shoulder. The tears that threatened to fall from my eyes disappeared and I quickly changed it to a fierce and strong willed look. Turning to face him, I nodded my head as thanks and shut the car door as I held my luggage which was just one bag.
What? ... Cade said not to bring much and that if I needed more clothes he would buy them. Not like were poor. In contrary, our pack is the richest after the royal pack themselves so... were pretty well off.
As we followed 'her' inside the house- it was a good thing she didn't try anything on us- she stopped in front of the guest room and told us to decide the separation ourselves. We decided on separate girls and boys.
The rooms had 2, and 3 beds which I know was 4(each) before if my memory serves me correct, so they must have moved it out to allow more space for their precious guests.
Tch. Just the thought of how different they treated their own pack member from complete strangers made my eyebrows scrunch up and my hands rolled up into fists.
"Don't worry Skye, you'll have your revenge soon, the time will come when it comes no need to rush." Ivy spoke softly with a hint of being wary. Well who wouldn't be when you know that person is capable of being on par with your beta (though I'm actually stronger than a regular alpha but not like they may know about it.)
My fists unclenched and I released a breath I didn't know I held in.
"Thanks. You're right. Time is on our side. 'Just can't wait to pay back my overdue debt."
Just thinking about my revenge alone tugs the corner of my lips as a small laugh escapes me.
"How fun~"
