It did manage to contain the shockwave but instead of the cultivators running away from the scene, they stood there with their hands clutched onto the queue barriers, and their toes tipped to have a better view of the fight.

Lao Ku was shocked by the fact that Captain Hei merely stood there with his signature cigar, staring mercilessly at him the moment their eyes met since the Loud Lion Cultivator could not believe that there was a drastic jump in power compared to the SWAT Pandas he fought against.
