Chapter 7: Love Lies P.1

"Congratulations, on turning 25 and for finally completing University, Honey!",
Mi Soo excitedly exclaimed, while presenting a box to him. When Min Jun opened the box, he started jumping up and down, "No way! This is the limited edition VLD watch, isn't it?!! YOU have no idea how much I wanted this! Thank You Soooooo much."
"Don't mention it, by the way, we are going out for dinner so get ready.", she smiled.
When they arrived at the restaurant, Min Jun was shocked to see that it was the same restaurant, which he has been wanting to visit for the past month, but has been unable to because his online reservation were always cancelled.
"Honey? Is this some sort of coincidence?", he stuttered.
"Why? Is something wrong?", she asked.
"Its just that, how come we are eating at the same restaurant which I have been wanting to eat? And let me guess, after this are we going to watch 'Cheat Code' which was released last week?", he exclaimed.
"Woah, how did you know? Did Baek Ha tell it to you? I guess not *she laughed a little* Min Jun-ah (-ah is added after a name to show informality in Korean) your over thinking it. You know when two hearts are connected their desires and pain become one, so my heart knew exactly what you wanted, that's it.", she clarified.
Min Jun quietly accepted her explanation.
"By The way, next Friday, we are hosting a party, to celebrate Parfait's seventh anniversary, and on that day I will be officially introducing my dear husband to the world, so look your best.", she added on.
He quietly nodded.
28 October 2016.
"Mi Soo, was it necessary to make Min Jun-ssi (-ssi is added after a name in Korean to show formality and respect) the assistant manager of the Marketing department? He is a theater and film major, what can he possibly do in the marketing department?", Beak Ha vocalized her thoughts, towards Mi Soo, who was preoccupied in scanning through design samples.
"I did it because he wanted to audition as a directing staff, which I couldn't let happen. So, I just asked him to work here instead, whereas look at the bright side, he has much experience of working behind the lens, so he surely will be of great help when it comes to shoots and commercials. But to be bluntly honest, I wanted him in my sight, to ensure that he doesn't divert from his commitment." Mi Soo, bluntly replied.
Out of nowhere, Mi Soo decided to check up on Min Jun but he wasn't to be seen anywhere. After asking the other staff, it was revealed that he left urgently after answering a call from someone. Shortly after, Mi Soo received a text from the bank, stating Min Jun's credit card was swiped at 'Cafe X'.
Min Jun returned home, at night directly before dinner. Mi Soo had patiently awaited him.
"I heard that you urgently left the office today?", Mi Soo questioned.
"Ah, Yup, Sorry I forgot to tell you. Actually mom wasn't feeling well so I went to the hospital with her.", He immediately responded.
"Only the hospital? Did you go anywhere else?", she further interrogated.
"No.", he answered without a moment of hesitation.
"I see. I am hungry let's have dinner.", she said, putting a halt to the rising tension.

It was 11 pm, Min Jun slept earlier, but Mi Soo seemed restless. So she went down, and asked Ms. Yoo to pour her a glass of wine.
"You must be excited for something, Young Miss.", Ms. Yoo questioned.
"How did you know?", Mi Soo wondered.
"Young Miss, I have been serving you since you were born and know that you are a unique creature who strangely drinks wine when they are excited, milk when your sad. When normally people drink alcohol when they are sad." Ms. Yoo commented.
"People drink alcohol when they are sad and are having hard times, because they want to forget their pain and need courage to go through the hard times. But I don't need alcohol to forget pain, I want to remember pain, because pain is what makes me stronger and gives me the courage to go through the hard times. And Yes I am excited." Mi Soo responded.
She finished the glass, and added, "I am heading out for a walk, so I might be a bit late."
