Chapter 1: Chapter 1

-[Bellwood]-

In a decent sized room, a red haired teen pushed himself to his feet. His eyes darted around in confusion as he took in his surroundings.

'Where am I? What's going on?!' He wondered, not recognizing the room he stood in nor did he remember why he was on the floor.

Just then a female voice rang in his head.

-[Host Found!]

'Am I going crazy?' He asked himself as he noticed that he felt…different.

-[Binding Process Complete!]

-[Congratulations on becoming a 'Gamer'!]

'I'm hearing voices and seeing weird stuff…totally not crazy.' He thought in a sarcastic manner as he tried to figure out his surroundings.

-[Scan Complete!]

-[Memory Packet Found!]

-[Integrate?] (Yes | No)

He paused, staring at the 'screen' in front of him.

After spending the last few moments searching the room for anything familiar, he'd take anything even if he was just being crazy.

Accepting, he immediately found himself being brought to his knees as his head flared in pain. He was assaulted by a barrage of memories that roughly slotted themselves into his mind.

As the pain stopped, he found himself panting slightly while staring at the ceiling once again. The difference was that this time, he knew where he was and there was only one thing he could say.

"Shit."

Jumping back to his feet, he rushed into the bathroom to find a mirror. Staring back at him were green eyes and messy red hair.

'You've got to be kidding me. So I'm not going crazy.' He thought in shock at what he had just found.

He was Kenneth Tennyson, older brother of Gwen Tennyson and cousin of Ben Tennyson.

The memories that were now in his head felt too vivid to be fake.

'It's been a long time since I even touched the Ben 10 series but I'm very sure this isn't how it's supposed to be.' He thought as the computer on the lone desk in the room displayed a picture of people in black bodysuits, a white vest and a balaclava on their heads.

What was more interesting was the monster was behind them as well as the title of the picture. 'Providence Captures Another EVO'.

With the memories he received, he knew the history of this world he found himself in…a crazy mixture of Ben 10 and Generator Rex.

The Nanite Event happened five years ago, spreading nanites throughout the world and turning people into monsters, EVOs. Providence was created as a response.

What he didn't know was if the Plumbers were a thing in this reality.

His eyes immediately widened as he realized something. 'Max came to pick up Gwen for the summer yesterday. Which means that if the omnitrix even exists here, then one of them has found it, hopefully.'

With a frown, he turned to the bed where a brown bag laid open. Rummaging through it, his frown deepened.

According to his memories, he had just come back from school when he found a black box in it while unpacking. The last thing he remembered was touching it and everything went white. The problem is that it was nowhere to be found.

-[Harmful materials detected within host!]

-[Eliminating materials!]

-[Elimination Complete!]

'Harmful material? I don't feel any different.' He thought as he inspected his body.

The disappearance of the black box and the appearance of the system raised a lot of flags to him.

One minute, he was about to go to sleep and the next minute, he was here in this possibly apocalyptic world.

'EVOs and Aliens…why couldn't I wake up somewhere nicer?' He complained.

Letting out a sigh, he showed a small frown as he focused on the 'system'. If Gwen, Ben and Max left the previous day, it would mean that getting the omnitrix was out of the question.

He had to focus on his own advantage that could help him get stronger. He wasn't confident enough in the state of the world to attempt to live a carefree life, at least without getting powerful first.

He figured out the mechanics of the system after a few moments, pulling up a stat screen.

'Well that's underwhelming. Not even a skill to my name.' He thought as he massaged his temples.

The physical stats were easy enough to figure out and he was almost a hundred percent sure that Intelligence was responsible for his mana. Perception was yet to be explored though the name gave most of it away.

He also found his inventory which was currently empty at the moment. 'I have a lot of work to do.'

-[Providence Headquarters]-

Numerous agents moved around in the briefing room, going about their usual work.

A dark haired man in a green suit and sunglasses stood in front of a large screen displaying a white haired man in a white suit.

"Agent Six, I'm sure I don't need to remind you that you're supposed to watch the boy." The white haired man said with a frown.

"No you don't." The now identified agent Six replied.

"Then how on earth did he find his way out of the base under your watch?" The white haired man questioned in visible irritation.

Before Six could answer, the man continued. "Keep him under control. You know the alternative."

Immediately after he spoke, the call went dead, not waiting for a reply.

Six stayed silent as a dark haired woman in a lab coat walked up beside him. "You know he's more than just a weapon, right? He's just a kid. You can't blame him for feeling a little frustrated."

Six frowned as he began walking away. "What he feels isn't important."

-[Bellwood]-

Kenneth sat at the foot of his bed, feeling a new source of frustration.

He had just spent the past hour doing push-ups and other strength exercises and he quickly figured out something.

'It didn't even increase one bit.' He thought in irritation.

That meant that if he wanted to increase his stats, he'd have to find a way to level up.

There was the option of fighting EVOs to level up but that plan was only good on paper. 'A level 1 human and a level 1 EVO aren't the same thing.'

There was also the fact that EVOs were known to the world so any attempts to fight one could lead to him being recorded and broadcasted.

Were it not for the ramifications it could have on his parents and Gwen as well, he would barely have a problem with it. Though he had taken over this body, the attachment to its family was still there.

He took over an innocent person so the least he could do was respect those attachments. With a sigh, he went into the bathroom, looking into the mirror again.

'And I'm also very sure Ken looked different in the series.' He thought.

He had to figure out what to do and he had to figure it out fast.
