Chapter 478: He Had Missed That

Jacob continued feeling like it was all too good to be true as the weeks passed. Coming home to Addison after work. Waking up with her clinging to him in her sleep in the morning. Going on actual double dates with his friends instead of being a third, fifth, or seventh wheel. 

On his birthday, Addison spoiled him with breakfast in bed even though she had to work. He was having a sort of party with everyone going roller skating the next time they were all free but he was just going to have dinner and cake at his mom's the day of. Layla and Tommy, who had gotten more used to seeing Addison come with him after she had come a few times, wanted to know where she was. 

"She's working," he said with a shrug. 

"She's always working!" Tommy complained. "You said that last week too!" 

"Yeah because it was true."
