Chapter 10: Fight
[Crocodile pov:]
After a few nights here in Water 7, Rob Lucci, Kaku and Kalifa, the undercover agents finally decided to confront us. They were standing in an alley just a couple of streets from the hotel I was staying at, of course I easily detected them with my observation haki and I made my way towards them.
"Crocodile, you're a Shichibukai but not even someone like you should be aware of the World Government's business, you have some explaining to do." Rob Lucci steps towards me and says.
"I don't have to do anything... especially to those weaker than me." As soon as I said that he rushes towards me and tries to kick me, (honestly I was tempted to just stand there and see his face once his kick does absolutely nothing.) When his kick reaches me it passes right through my body, seeing that it wouldn't work he retreats.
"Okay... my turn" I said those words and suddenly I appeared right in front of him and I hit him with a haki imbued punch. He tried to lessen the blow using Tekkai but it still sent him flying.
"Look, can we just skip the part where I beat the utter shit out of you? I say this for your sake."
Lucci gets up but I can see he realized that they don't have the power needed to deal with me. "I don't care about why you are here, although I can probably guess why." I can see his body tense up at that.
"Why are you here?" asked Kalifa
"Like I said the other day, to order a ship and... to find a shipwright for my crew. Honestly I'm very interested in all of you. Consider this as your chance to finally stop being the World Government's dogs."
"Why would we join criminals when we serve justice?" spoke Lucci
"Justice?.... Hahahaha don't make me laugh, what justice, the one where innocent people suffer at the whims of the Celestial Dragons?"
"Celestial Dragons... those scums, they're even more disgusting than the filth of his world, no... to be more accurate they are the filth. Are you sure that this is justice?"
"Careful Crocodile what you said could make you lose your Warlord title, or even your life. Are you sure you want that?" Said Rob Lucci with a smirk.
"There is a war coming so I'm not worried about that, the Marines will need all the help they can get.
Anyway this is all I wanted to say, you have until the ship is ready to answer my question. You can either continue to serve like dogs the World Government or you can choose freedom. And even if you are to die after choosing to join my crew, at least you die like human beings rather than dogs." After I said that I make my exit, leaving three silent figures in a dark alley.
Timeskip:1 week
Not much else happened after that, I visited the Island, I even found out that place where Sanji got the sea salt from, they have amazing food.
Another thing happened when I was practicing Act Two. When I increased the temperature of my sand, it started turning into glass. The strange thing was that it seemed alive like I could control it, although very hard and it requires a great deal of concentration. I can already turn my surroundings into sand but after I made this discovery it seems like I could do it more easily and I can cover more ground.
Nanotextured glass surfaces can reduce light reflections to less than 0.2 percent across all visible and infrared light wavelengths. This reduction renders the glass essentially invisible—even at large viewing angles.
[If I can control this transformation I could even get the powers of the Suke Suke no mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that gives its user the ability to turn themselves and whatever they touch (living or nonliving) invisible, making them a Clear Human.]
[The Suna Suna no mi, what an amazing devil fruit. I can turn into and control sand at will, I can use burning attacks by heating up my sand through friction and now apparently I can even get the powers of the Suke Suke no mi. If I can do all of this now, I wonder what will I be able to do once I awaken it.]
[Miss. Doublefinger pov:]
I don't know what to say, a couple of months ago I found out that Mr.0, my boss was Crocodile all along. And that the plan we were about to start has been completely canceled. At first I thought that this means that I don't have a job anymore since Baroque Works closed but after a couple of days Crocodile himself came and offered me to be a part of his crew. Of course I accepted.
[I always thought that Crocodile was kinda hot, but now, after abandoning that stupid plan to take over a country and seeing him getting so powerful he is almost irresistible.]
[Nami pov:]
What a large world, just a couple of weeks ago I wasn't able to imagine that something like this existed. A island like Water 7, I even heard myths about a island in the sky, I wonder if it's true.
I may not show it but I am thankful for freeing my town and giving me a chance to accomplish my dream.
