Chapter 29: Vs the World
Sol watches as Nora trains. Three angels surround her with swords; Even though they're made of paper they look completely real. Nora stands there with his arms crossed across his chest, his twelve wings act as blades as they repeal and attack the soldiers.
The wings split the angels in half but they just reform a moment later.
Eventually, Sol shakes his head. This training won't help much because Nora knows how and where the angels will attack.
The Demon's head turns towards the sea, Sol can sense an island has entered his range.
He turns towards World as an idea pops into his head.
Sending a message to the others, they all make their way here. Nora stops practicing when they all arrive and they gather around.
"Captain, don't we need to keep an eye out for the weather?" Jasmine speaks first, wondering why the plan changed.
"I plan to dock Paradise with Themyscira, we'll sail above it in Nora's paper boat." His hand slowly raises and points towards World sitting on the beach.
"As we go from island to island you'll spend a few days fighting World. You can't fight here because World will destroy the island."
"All of us at once or one on one?" Eileen grabs his sword, itching to try.
"Hopefully one one one." Vivian's lips curl into an arc. "I don't want some people dragging me down." His eyes glance at Jasmine as he speaks.
Jasmine takes a deep breath to calm himself down. "Can you for once take things seriously?!? How many years has it been?"
"How many times have I beat you?" Vivian isn't even fazed by his remarks.
Sol waves his hand and silences them. "I hope you can keep this energy later." His head turns to Nora. "Make the ship."
"Yes, captain." Nora faces the sea and fans his wings. The boat forms in the air and Jasmine coats it with wax.
Nora deployed the boat at full sail, to keep up with the moving island.
Sol summons World in the distance and sends a message to Janet, informing her of their new plan.
The island begins slowing down as World walks over.
"Master!!" A silver bell-like voice comes from Byojack sitting on World's shoulder. With her baggy clothes and oversized Viking helmet, she looks adorable.
World's face darkens when he hears the voice. "What do you want." Trying not to throw his now sister away, he grits his teeth while looking at Sol.
"How dare you speak to the Captain like that, show some respect!" Jasmine steps forward with a frown.
"Respect? Like the respect he showed while twelve inches deep inside me?!?" His eyes turn bloodshot as he turns towards Jasmine.
"You should feel honored to be blessed by the Captain's seed!" Jasmine doesn't back down, his hands turn to wax as his hair ignites.
"Brother calm down! You can't be upset with Master" Byojack tries to shake World's head with her thin arms.
Hearing his own family rebuke him breaks the final straw. Just as he's about to attack Jasmine, Sol's voice rings out.
"Stand down."
World's anger fades with the sound of Sol's voice.
Sol nods when he sees this. Even if World can speak more of his mind, he's still completely bound. This makes him wonder if he can speak like this around those who aren't charmed.
It shouldn't be possible because that would cause him harm.
Jasmine smiles when he sees World back down.
"Don't be excited too fast, I just don't want my island to break. Come on." Sol speaks to Jasmine before flying to the boat.
Slim bat-like wings grow from the Desire Demon's lower back and she flies after Sol.
Nora looks at the others before making paper cranes fly them to the boat.
World looks at the crane conflictingly. On one hand, he doesn't want to accept his help, on the other he has to follow Sol.
"Brother come on, they're waiting for us." Byojack mushes her brother's face with her palm.
"Haaa." World sighs as he jumps on the crane.
When they arrive at the ship, walls begin raising around the island. Then the glass dome is deployed.
They watch as the island sinks into the water, forming a small whirlpool as it does.
Nora looks at Janet's life paper and starts moving the ship as the sub begins moving forward.
"World, if you're angry, take it out on them." Sol points at the four. "The only restriction is you can't kill them."
The words sound like music in his ears. His eyes dart between the four of them as a grin forms on his face. "Finally, a way to let off some steam."
It doesn't take long for them to arrive on the island. The boat rams right into the beach before bursting unfolding into individual sheets of paper.
Ten clouds of mist separate from Sol and turn into demons. Six of them dive into the forest to search the island while the other four stand near Sol.
World places Byojack down before walking down the beach. Each step he takes he cracks his knuckles.
Jasmine leads the other to follow behind him, the confidence on their faces is clear. They all saw how easily Sol took World down, so none of them are worried.
World turns around as Eileen draws his swords. "I'm going to enjoy this."
"Don't let him take the first move!" Jasmine yells as he thrusts out his hands.
A wave of wax rolls down the beach as Eileen slashes out with both swords. Above the white wax, a blue and green flying slash cut through the air.
"Speed is weight. More More Ten Times Speed!" World shoots forward like an arrow.
The wax on the ground parts just from the wind pressure generated from his movement.
Before they can react, World's fist has already made contact with Jasmine's chest.
Jasmine's body bends like a bow before he's blasted back at incredible speed.
"Weight is power." World's head turns towards Nora who just scattered his feathers. His leg swings around, kicking him before his wings can move to block.
Nora flies past Vivian and Eileen, crashing through the trees and into the forest.
"I'll hold him!" Vivian launches himself at World.
He holds out a hand to catch his neck, instead, his fingers sink into the mud.
Eileen runs from the side, slashing towards World from two different directions.
World glances at the oncoming attack before looking at Vivian. Instead of blocking or dodging to the side, he jumps.
Lifting off like a rocket, World easily jumps a hundred meters into the air.
Seeing his hand sink further into Vivian's body his face looks calm.
"Give it up, you're no match for the power of a logia." Vivian looks at World with a conceited look.
World closes his eyes, feeling the breeze blowing against his face. "Did you know if I wasn't worried about my brother, I never could have been captured?"
World opens his eyes and looks at Vivian.
"Huuuuh?!? What are you rambling about?? Getting scared? I'm invincible without haki!"
World just looks calmly at Vivian. He lifts his stuck hand backward as they reach the apex of his jump.
Eileen looks toward the sky, his blades at the ready.
"More More Twenty Times Speed." World punches the arm stuck in Vivian towards the beach below.
Vivian's vision blurs, his mind blank as an explosion goes off around him and his body splatters all around.
A wave of sand and wind blows Eileen back. His swords fly out of his hands as his body tumbles on the ground.
World rises from the crater on the beach, globs of mud are littered all around as he flicks the last trace off his fingers.
His eyes turn towards Eileen whose head swivels as he looks for his swords.
World arrives before him like teleportation, his foot already kicking his chest.
Eileen is shot into the air like a kickball, his consciousness already gone on impact.
Sol waves his hand and the three Desire Demons move towards Jasmine, Eileen, and Nora.
The demons pull down their pants when they arrive, exposing their equipment.
The moment they grab it with their hands, it fully erects. The bodysuit fades as the demons slide their meat between their legs.
Acting as a conduit, life force is channeled from Sol, into them, and then into the injured guys.
Their pale completions heal as the desire demons move up and down.
World walks over to Sol and looks down at him. "Is that it? I couldn't even get warmed up."
Sol smiles as the last demon looks up at World. "Is that it? We can do this all day."
As Sol's voice falls, Vivian walks out of the crater completely reformed and the others return fully healed.
"Wax Rain!!" Jasmine yells as wax is poured into the sky. The wax turns into thousands of javelins before falling like rain.
