Chapter 24: Vivi vs Bellamy part 1
Vivi focused on her target, she gripped her knife and retracted her arm back. Her arm changed to water and compressed against her torso, making it almost disappear while leaving her human hand gripping the knife.
She then released the pressured water forward like She had practiced many times. Her hand was propelled a great speed towards her target, leaving behind a thin stream of water that was her arm.
Her aim was true and the knife pierced the back of the man's neck, allowing him a short grunt before He died. She then put her focus on retracting her hand back.
The water on her body didn't behave like normal water at all. She was able to control it at will, that's how Vivi could make her water limbs imitate Luffy's rubber arms, although they didn't carry anywhere near the same level of power. It may not be the most efficient way to do it, but that was the method that she was most familiar with.
She looked at the body of the man she had just killed for a second and a flash of guilt invaded her.
'Shit, I don't have time for this now. Stay focused girl!'
Her enemies were too occupied to notice her or their dead comrade yet, so she aimed for her next target. The girl that was always with the knife guy was distracted, shooting at Masira.
She once again compressed her arm and shot her knife, but she must have made some noise this time because the other girl turned around and was able to move her neck enough to not be pierced but she still got her throat cut.
She grunted in pain but quickly covered her cut with one hand while aiming her gun at Vivi with the other one.
Vivi didn't waste time either, as soon as she noticed her attack missing, she started to run toward the girl while recalling her arm in the process.
When Vivi was only a few feet away from her, the girl aimed her gun at Vivi's head and shoot. Her eyes widened in surprise after seeing the bullet pierce Vivi's head while she continued to run like nothing had happened.
'The blessing of a logia fruit. My offense may be a bit lackluster, but at least I don't have much to worry about attacks from this caliber of opponents.' She thought.
"Sarquiss !." The girl said with difficulty when she saw that Vivi was already on her and didn't have time for more shots.
Vivi stabbed her knife into the girl's belly several times, making her drop her gun and fall to the ground. She was still alive but bleeding out.
"Noooo!!, Lily!!." Sarquiss face paled at seeing his girlfriend collapse on the ground. He then looked at the dead body close to her.
"Eddy!". Finally, his eyes fell on Vivi, who was next to Lily, holding a knife covered in blood.
"Oh? so those were their names...I didn't remember them" She whispered to herself.
"You!!!" Sarquiss forgot about his other opponents and charged Vivi with his massive kukri.
Vivi faced in his direction but didn't move, she stood there, waiting for him, and held her knife behind her back.
'Yes, get close.'
Masira and Shoujou were still relatively uninjured yet, but they were so surprised by Vivi's sudden attack that didn't have time to stop Sarquiss before he rushed at her.
"Careful!" Yelled Masira.
Sarquiss raised his kukri and brought it down on Vivi, perpendicularly aiming for her neck.
"Die!!"
He felt great satisfaction when He saw his blade start to cut Vivi, but the satisfaction turned to confusion when his kukri went completely through her body and exited at her calf.
"My turn." She took advantage of the opportunity and brought forth her knife, stabbing Sarquiss in his chest but she wasn't sure if that would be enough since humans in this world are a lot more resilient, so she twisted the knife and took it off.
Sarquiss grunted in pain and tried to get away but Vivi did not let him gain distance and immediately aimed at his neck. He tried to parry the attack but Vivi's arm twisted like a snake to dodge his blade and ended up stabbing his shoulder.
"Argg!" Sarquiss lost his balance and fell down.
Vivi jumped on top of him and continued to stab him anywhere she saw open. Over and over, she continued to stab him until He stopped making noises.
Masira and Shoujou stood there in astonishment. Looking at the one they saw as an innocent girl, covered in blood after having killed three members of the Bellamy crew.
"Vivi?, are you okay?." Masira said while approaching. Vivi's eyes seemed a bit vacant like she was in a state of shock.
As soon as she heard Masira's voice, Vivi came back to her senses. She looked down at the mess that she made with Sarquiss and felt the urge to vomit.
'Keep it together, dammit!. There is still the Bellamy left. Wait…wasn't there another guy too?'
Their attention shifted quickly when they heard Montblanc collapse on the ground, grunting in pain.
"Boss!" Masira and Shoujou ran to his help.
Bellamy chuckled.
"That was easy."
"Captain!!, help!." The other man that Vivi had lost track of, was running at Bellamy.
"Huh?, Rivers, what's wrong?, why haven't you finished those two monkeys," Bellamy complained while pointing at Masira and Shoujou who were at Montblanc's side now.
"They are dead!!. They are all dead!!." Rivers said in a panicked voice.
"What are you talking about?" Bellamy looked in the direction Rivers was pointing out and saw Vivi walking in his direction. He was surprised by the amount of blood on her, but then moved his eyes to the still bodies close by and his face paled.
"No…."
He immediately recognized the figures on the ground. His gaze focused back on Vivi and his face contorted with rage.
"YOU DID THIS?!"
"Come now, Bellamy. You came here to beat up an old man and rob his gold. I'm sorry to tell you, but sometimes, actions have consequences." Vivi keeps her expression still while looking at Bellamy. She was not going to let her emotions rule her.
"Who the fuck are YOU!" Bellamy demanded.
"Nefertari Vivi, Strawhat pirate. Nice to meet you."
