Chapter 28: Arriving at Skypea
"So…that wasn't the normal way to get here after all…" Nami wanted to cry.
"Well, we are here anyways, what's the problem?" Luffy asked.
"What's the problem?!, we almost died! If we had collected more information there may have been a safer way." Nami was shaking Luffy violently while yelling.
"Nami, calm down. We didn't have much time to gather information. And I doubt anyone in Jaya will have known about any other ways to get here." Vivi tried to placate Nami's fury.
"Did you lose any crew members coming here?" The knight asked.
Luffy shook his head. "No, we are all here"
The knight nodded. "The other routes are not like this. If one hundred people want to go to Sky Island it would be a gamble with no way to predict how many will die on the way. The Knock up stream is more of an 'everyone makes it or everyone dies' kind of situation. Not many will dare to take that chance"
He then threw a whistle on the floor.
"Take it. One whistle. Blow this once and I will come to rescue you, free of charge the first time"
The knight then got on the rail and prepared to leave.
"Wait, we don't even know your name." Said Nami.
"My name is Gan Fall, the sky knight and this is my partner Pierre." He pointed to the bird.
He mounted his strange bird and flew away.
"I wish you luck, heroes!"
"We are pirates thought…." Vivi pointed out but He had already left.

"In the end, He didn't give us any useful information to continue." Concluded Robin.
Usopp nodded "We still don't even know how to get to the higher level."
Luffy grabbed the whistle. "Then, let's just call the old man and ask him"
Nami quickly took it out of his hands.
"Wait Luffy!, this is for emergencies!"
"Guys, look over there! there is a strange cloud." Chopper pointed out to something in the distance.
"It looks like a waterfall," Robin said.
"Let's go check that out." Ordered their Captain.
After approaching and moving some clouds out of the way, they marveled at the giant structure with the words 'Heaven's gate' written on it.
"Now this looks like the proper way up." Said Vivi.
They passed the gates and entered a tunnel with columns and many doors. An old lady came out from one of the doors and started to take pictures of them with a strange device that only Vivi recognize.
"Look, there is someone there!." Usopp pointed out.
"Are you here for sightseeing or are you looking to fight?" The old lady asked. Before they could answer she continued.
"Well, I suppose it doesn't matter. If you want to go up, you have to pay a fee of one billion extols per person. That is the law."
"One billion extols? wait…how much is that in beri." Said Usopp.
"Excuse us…but we don't have any money." Said Nami.
The old lady shrugged.
"You can still go up"
"Wait, you let us pass just like that?" Said Luffy.
The old lady stared at them. "If you don't want to that's fine too. I am neither a guard nor a soldier. I just want to know your intention"
"Then, we want to Sky Island!" Said Luffy.
"How do we go up?" Asked Chopper.
The Going Merry started to shake and then they all felt the ship rise up in the air.
"There is something under the ship!" Warned Zoro.
"That's white seas special 'speedy shrimp'. He will take you" Said the old lady.
The ship started to move fast and climb the waterfall.
The old lady stood there watching them leave.
"Seven more souls to suffer the Sky Judgment." She smiled.

The waterfall seemed to have turned into a road and the creature under the Going Merry was taking them through that road at great speed.
"How can this be? that waterfall-cloud is now shaped like a road." Said Usopp.
"This doesn't look like a natural phenomenon, it must be man-made." Robin pointed out.
"Look, I think we are reaching the exit!" Said Sanji.
At the end of the road was a big hole with a sign that said 'Godland Skypea' next to it.
They went through the hole with great speed and landed in another white sea like the one from before.
As soon as they landed back into the water, they looked around and immediately spotted a big island close by.
The island was covered in clouds but one could see many houses forming a small city and a big building that looked like a palace.
They landed on the shore and got out.
"Whoa!! The surface of this island is made of soft clouds!" Usopp seemed delighted at running around the beach.
Luffy and Chopper also start to run around like children with a new toy.
"Oi! What about the anchor? there is probably no bottom in this sea." Asked Zoro.
"It doesn't matter, hurry up and come here. The ground is so soft!" Yelled Luffy.
"It doesn't matter to you…" Zoro wondered how can their captain be so careless.
The rest of the crew also got down and started to explore the beach. Other than the strange clouds, it looked like a typical beach, with palm trees and everything.
Luffy got up from the tree and picked up a bizarre coconut.
"Arg! This is too hard!" He exclaimed after trying to take a bit.
"Luffy, that's not how you eat coconuts on the surface either…" Said Vivi.
Nami and Chopper had found an area with some chairs and a roof.
"Wow, these chairs are made of clouds! they are so comfy."
"What is that sound?" Asked Sanji.
They started to hear the sound of someone playing music. When they looked in the direction of the sound, they spotted a young girl with blonde hair and white wings playing some sort of harp.
"It's an angel!!" Sanji exclaimed.
The girl stopped playing and turned towards them.
"Heso!"
