Chapter 1: I
3rd person POV
It is currently 6:23am and unfortunately, Karli is still asleep knowing that she has school today..
After a while, her mother got up the stairs to wake her up.
"Karli, it's time for school why are you not up yet!?" she yelled
"5 more minutes mom..."
"Karli, it's 6:23am and your class starts at 7am. You are gonna be late again!" her mother yelled.
"What!? Why didn't you wake me up?"
"I CAME UPSTAIRS FOR THE 5TH TIME TODAY TO WAKE YOU UP." said a deafening yell from her mother.
"Alright, alright I'll get ready." she said as she hurriedly ran to the bathroom.

Current time: 6:54
After a while, our lazy main character finally arrived at school.
Karli's POV:
As I walk into the school hall, a familiar voice started to shout my name.
"KARLI!!!! Why are you late? Our class is about to start come on!" said a familiar girl
Her name is Lyf, she was my first friend ever since I went to this school and she was nice actually. She was the best friend you could ever have.

We then finally arrived in our classroom and surprisingly, we weren't late. As I went to my seat, our teacher seemed to be announcing that we will have a new classmate.
"Good morning class, I would like to introduce you all to your new classmates. I hope you all will welcome her. You may go inside now." said our teacher
As she finished speaking, the door opened, and a short feminine figure entered the classroom.
"Hello everyone! My name is Hailey and I'm from Australia. I hope we all get along!" said the small enthusiastic female.
'She looks so pretty..' I said in a hushed tone
"Hey Karli, didn't you say back then that you were lesbian? Don't tell me you like her-" said Lyf.
"Eh!? Of course not!" I said
"Karli, it's really obvious that you like her by the fact you are literally staring at her so intensely. It's kinda creeping me out.." said another girl.
Her name is Aerielle. She was one of the smartest students on our grade level but despite her high intelligence, she has pretty great humour.
"I wonder where she will sit next to."
"Welcome to our school, Hailey. Please go sit next to Karli. Karli, please raise your hand so she knows where to sit."
There was a vacant seat next to me so I probably should've expected her to sit next to me.
As the teacher started talking, Hailey started to walk towards me- to go to her seat of course.
Before she sat on her seat, she smiled and waved at me.
I looked like a mess. She was so beautiful... I can't believe someone as beautiful like her exists.
I was blushing during our whole period and I couldn't focus because of her beauty.

As I was walking to the cafeteria to buy some food for our break time, Hailey ran to me and held my hand.
"Hiii, your name is Karli, right? Would you like to walk to the cafeteria together?" she said with a smile on her face.
"W-well uh of course! Let's go-" I said with a blush on my face. I swear I was blushing so hard that I looked like a tomato. We finished buying food and I asked her if she wants to eat with me and surprisingly, she agreed.
"Let me introduce you to my friends." I said.
She then agreed and we walked to the seat where my friends were.
"Hey guys! Can Hailey sit with us? I asked the three of them
"Of course. My name is Lyf." said Lyf
"Why not? Also I'm Erich." said the girl who was sitting next to Lyf
Her name is Erich. She's the third and last friend I had in this school and we got along quite well.
However, I felt like something was off about Aerielle ever since Hailey arrived, she also didn't talk the whole time, but I decided to shut my mouth for once and decided to ask her another time. After our break time, we then went upstairs to go back our class and going upstairs unexpectedly became a mess...? People were running everywhere and I was about to fucking snap until Hailey went onto my shoulders telling me she's scared.
"K-karli.. I'm scared.. what do I do.. what if I fall down the stairs?" she said
"Don't worry we can go back there safely, just hold onto me okay?"
She nodded in response.

We then managed to go back to our class without getting hurt- well surprisingly since people were running on the stairs earlier. I looked to see Hailey finally looking calm and I was glad since she really looked scared on our way here. She then gently laid her head on my shoulders while closing her eyes.. she looked so pretty... those dark brown eyes, long dark hair and her bright smile... they are all so perfect, so perfect that I don't even deserve being able to be with someone so beautiful like her..
After a while, our math teacher arrived so I tried waking her up.
"Uhm, Hailey? Our teacher is here.. our class is about to begin so please wake up." I said
She then gently got up from my shoulders and began to take her notebook and book from her bag.
The fact that I think that everything she does is hot is making me concerned for myself.

Our class finally ended and when Hailey was about to leave, she waved goodbye to me.
"Bye Karli! See you tomorrow." she said as she left the school.
"Hey uhm, Lyf? I've been thinking about this recently.. probably when she entered our class... I like her... no... I love her.." I said to Lyf who was next to me.
She then took her hand and started to pat my head.
We then started to tell jokes to each other while we were waiting for our parents to pick us up.
"Hey Karli, have you seen Aerielle? I haven't seen her for almost the whole day." she asked
"Oh, she texted me earlier and said that she'll need to go early because of some personal reasons or something."
"Well okay then so as I was saying...."
This was probably the best day I had yet.

Hailey's POV
As I left the school, I started walking to get some food until someone grabbed my hand and took me to a place where people can barely see us.
"We meet again.." said the person who grabbed me
"Are you jealous? Is that why you came to me?"
"Not really. I'm just warning you to not hurt her or else.. well, you do know I still have that footage right?"
"...I'll do anything just don't show her that.."
"We have a deal."

Karli's POV
I finally arrived home and I go back to my bed as usual.
"I'm so bored. What do I do? Lyf isn't online, Erich isn't online.. oh Aerielle is. Maybe I should ask her why she's acting strange."
I tried to text her but she didn't seem to reply.
I started to get worried until she finally replied.

Karli: Hiii is there something bothering u lately?
Aerielle: No, why?
Karli: Well, earlier you kinda started to act a bit weird and you got quieter than usual. You seem to look quite mad at Hailey.. is there something going on with you guys?
Aerielle: Oh about that? Sorry I was just stressed about my personal life there's nothing wrong don't worry.
Karli: Oh is that so? Well if you need help just ask me okay?
Aerielle: Okay then, I got to go bye.
Karli: Byeee

'What do I do now? I have no one to talk to..' I said as I went downstairs to get some food.
I think finally decided what to do and it's...
To sleep.

As she lay down, she began to think about what she will do and, after about half an hour, she decided to buy ice cream even if it was cold outside.

Karli's POV
I went outside to buy ice cream but since I'm the luckiest person alive, my favourite flavor is sold out.
3 hours later (because I don't want to make our mc suffer any longer)
7:39 pm
'I wonder if my friends are awake at this hour.."
I checked my phone and to my surprise, Aerielle is the only one who is online. It's honestly not surprising anymore knowing damn well she likes playing video games, especially at night since it's her only break time from hell. (aka school)
However, I still texted her even if she probably won't reply at all and surprisingly, she replied for the first time.

Karli: uh hi? why the hell are you still awake, we have class at 6:30 for some fucking reason.
Aerielle: im watching random things on tiktok right now cuz I have nothing to do🥹.
Karli: what do u mean nothing? u flirt with 'him' every night what happened to u guys lol.
Aerielle: he's already asleep right now lol. he left me on read and had the audacity to fall asleep when we are calling. 🙄
Karli: wait you guys CALL each other!?!? are u sure you guys aren't dating or sum?
Aerielle: no but I wish we were ngl.
Karli: omg the smart girl has a crush😍 it ain't even a crush anymore girlie ure fucking in love with him.
Aerielle: uh no I just flirt with almost everybody so uh stfu.
Karli: naw the audacity to tell me to stfu rn, I listen to ur rants abt random things almost every day.
Aerielle: mhm yeah. anyways, is there shit going on with u and Hailey? I know damn well ure gay and you can't tell me that you guys don't like each other.
Karli: eh she probably doesn't but I do😍 I mean- can u blame me? she's so hot like-

And starting that night, Aerielle had to listen to Karli about how good, gorgeous and nice Hailey is.

Aerielle: uh Karli, you know, I agree abt the fact that Hailey is hot and all but it's almost midnight so uh- goodnight girlie<3
Karli: Oh, it is? well, good night ig, sweet dreams.
Aerielle: well, I hope you have sweet dreams about DEEZ NU-
And I shall be cutting that and also- to the person reading this.. what time are you reading this? You better have been reading this at an appropriate time~

Surprisingly, I woke up at 5:21 am and of course, I took a bath to not get up late.
And after I took a bath, I went to the kitchen and saw that my mom only started cooking a few minutes ago.
"Karli? How are you awake? Aren't you in bed at this type of hour? Have you finally changed my child? Unless you're not..."
"Mom please calm down- it's just me okay? I have finally become a responsible daughter just for you!" I said while acting proud of myself.
"Mhm yes honey..." she said
'It was quite obvious she was lying but who cares at least she loved me enough to lie and not hurt my feelings.' I thought to myself.

Current time: 5:47
I arrived at the school quite early so there weren't that many students around.
I decided to randomly walk around the school, wondering why we have class at 6 in the morning.
Lyf's POV
As I was walking around the hallway, I saw Karli and she seemed to be questioning her life choices right now and so, I ran up to her.
"Karli! Come walk with me." I shouted at her.
As I shouted at her, she then started to run towards my direction.
Karli's POV
As I went towards Lyf, we started to joke around while waiting for our other classmates.

As we were walking in the hallway, we saw Hailey walking towards us with a smile on her face. I watched Hailey as she entered the school halls and it seems that she noticed me. She then began to run towards my direction and.. she hugged me!?
I was so flustered and I swear I looked like a literal tomato.
We began to talk to each other as we went towards Lyf until a familiar guy walked in.
It was Allan. He was absent for 2 days so Hailey couldn't meet him.
"Oh hey Karli, sorry I was absent for 2 days. I had diarrhea for some reason." he said
"Didn't Erich tell you not to eat those chocolates?"
"Yeah but uh- I might have-"
"Yeah no, I am not listening to your explanations at all."
"Karli, who is this guy?" Hailey asked.
I almost forgot she was even here.
"He's Allan, he's also our classmate but he couldn't come to school because of his diarrhea."
"Well, I see. Nice to meet you, Allan. I'm Hailey." she said with a smile on her face, slightly different from her smile when she was around me.
They began to shake hands and man I was so damn jealous even if me and Hailey hold hands most of the time.
As time flies, Erich finally arrived at school and ran to us.
"Hey guys! So Allan, how's ur diarrhea?" she said trying not to laugh her ass off.
"Pretty good. We needed to replace our toilet because of my shit." he said with a straight face.
"How wonderful."
And after that, Aerielle suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
"Uhm, hey."
"Oh gosh, you scared me. Where did you even come from." said Allan after screaming like a literal kid.
"I came from the school gate? Anyways what's up with you screaming like a kid?"
And just like that, an argument started.
Great work Aerielle.
The bell finally rang after a few minutes which felt like hours when the two of them were arguing with each other.
We finally went to class and that is when our suffering began.

After those 10 hours of hell (6:30 am to 4:30 pm), we can finally escape this solitary confinement or whatever suffering we're going through.
"Hey guys, wanna hang out together? It's a good way to recover from that hell." Erich suggested.
And good thing everyone agreed- well surprisingly since a certain someone here is usually too lazy to come.
"So where are we going?" I asked.
"I don't know, you guys decide." said Erich who was the one who suggested us hang out.
"I heard there was a new amusement park in ****** street. It's pretty close here so we can just walk." Lyf suggested.
And man, good thing everyone agreed or else an argument would probably start again.
And so, we walked to the park and that's where our journey began.
